Tom's Oyster Bar on Main Street in Downtown Royal Oak was wonderful. My wife and I shared our one year wedding anniversary there last night and the food was absolutely incredible. Our waitress Daniel was amazing and she did a great job. I had the Baja Fish Tacos (Atlantic Cod). It was super scrumptious. My wife had a seafood pasta and it tasted too oniony at first but the waitress had the Chefs make it again and it was absolutely perfect the second time around. A lot less garlic and onion and they got it spot on the second time around. We started off with the seafood sampler. It had a panko crab cake that was great. Dynamite shrimp that definitely brought the heat but was so good. And let me tell you about the Oyster's Rockefeller!!!!! THEE MOST AMAZING Oyster's Rockefeller I have ever had! At the end of the night the restaurant made it super special for us because I had made them aware that we were celebrating and they brought out a Roman Candle cheesecake! YUMMMMMM! Thank you Tom's Oyster Bar for a 10 out of 10 night! I give it a 5 star.

Slowest service ever. Took 1.5 hours for half our food to come out…and it was cold. The other half only came out after we inquired about it.

The lobster paella and the surf and turf is the best!! Courtney is an awesome waitress!! Must try a smoking mermaid and a banana nut old fashioned Sea life sampler to start!!

Not many people dining but service was slow. I think the kitchen was short staffed. I’ve had the lobster roll there a few times before and it was delicious. I convinced friends to join me and we were all underwhelmed with the food. The lobster salad in the roll was sparse and tasteless this trip. Very disappointing. The sweet waiter did bring me a small cup of plain lobster to add to my roll but because there was no sauce it made it even blander. Will have to think twice before going back.

We had a great experience last night. They gave us an inside/outside table as requested. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The waitstaff was friendly.

Overall it was a wonderful evening… Our server was pleasant, the manager had come over to our table twice and asked how everything was, and it was very pleasurable. This was my first time back there in almost 25 years and it was great.! Too bad. The weather wasn’t cooperative because it would’ve been really nice to sit out on the patio. We will definitely have to make it back this summer to enjoy that
