It amazes me how Tom's is always improving. Kruse & Muer has become tired and boring but Tom's keeps adding drinks and new food to its menu. Great!

Social distancing was done very well. We were seated right on time. The waitress was from Georgia and did an excellent job. The manager came over and thanked us for coming in. It was a nice night out. The food was good.

My boyfriend and I have been trying to dine at Tom’s for a while now and we are so happy we did. Our Waiter/Bartender Ryan was amazing. He helped us pick our oysters (first time eating them) he had recommendations for entrees and drinks and everything was as good as he said it would be. It’s very affordable especially for the quality. The 70’s rhythm and soul music set the mood. I’m definitely going back.

Horrible on all levels. The waiter wasn't attentive at all. Even was on his cell phone and when we needed him he told us to wait. Our food was undercooked when we asked for it to be recorded it came out 45 minutes later and was burnt.

The restaurant was nice and they reserved a nice big table for me and my 2 friends, but the food wasn’t that great. The crab was over cooked and the wasn’t all that. But maybe I’ll come back and try something different.

Our drinks and apps were great! However, the main course severely lacked in flavor. We got the surf and turf and the steak had no flavor, though it was cooked perfectly. I am convinced that they forgot to season it. The mashed potatoes also had no flavor, and were less than room temperature. To the restaurants defense, we did not inform the server that they actual meal was sub-par, so we didn't give them a chance to change our experience around. We might give the restaurant another try, but will probably not order the steak again.

The service was outstanding! We had the steak and lobster tail combo and I gave my husband the steak and he gave me the lobster tail. Warm butter in a candle lit dish came for the lobster. (a nice touch) I got my free Blue Point oyster and also had the clam chowder. The problem was one of the steaks was a terrible cut. My husband found 1/4 of it to be inedible. Unfortunately, he didn't mention it to either me or our server so if he had, I'm not sure what would have happened. Anyway on the plates are a big heap of unappetizing mashed potatoes. I still like Tom's. I have many memories from there and absolutely love their Seafood Tower.

Waitress did know the menu or the bar. She did offer us happy hour. She delivered a specials menu to us and only told us nothing on the specials menu was available after we ordered. Food was good, prices were outrageous. Don’t think we’ll be back

Sunday lunch and a few cocktails with my wife. Oysters, the Cold & Smoked, and martinis were all delicious. Friendly & helpful staff. Drinks were maybe a touch slow coming out, but they were delivered right when I started to think that, which is understandable given reduced capacity etc. Overall a great experience and we will return.

First time there. Made reservations and table was ready for early for us. Decided to go because we had a Groupon: Surf & Turf for Two
Waitress put the order in before asking if we wanted appetizers so o decided not to get any so I didn’t have all our food arriving at the same time. Too bad because they had a special on shrimp and Cheasepeke oysters would have liked to try. The turf was not a filet. Mine was cooked perfectly. My wife’s was slightly smaller and not an even cut so it was overdone. The lobster tails were smaller than I expected and also overcooked. It was ok - but likely won’t go back.

Have been going to Tom’s for a few years now and I am so happy that they kept the restaurant bar the same size even after the reno/update. It’s the intimate size of this place that I’m attracted to; along of course with the oysters and Spanish coffee. I had the paella two nights ago and it was very nicely done 👍🏼👍🏼

My 2nd experience at Tom's was awful. I went back for the oyster happy hour and our waitress did not even know what the happy hour specials were and she disappeared for the 1st 30 minutes we were there! I had to leave my table to go the bar to get a wine. Then, all of the oysters were shucked terribly with so many shells & pieces all over. I was very disappointed at this second time and I am not sure I will come back.

Their oyster happy hour was the absolute highlight of my week. I love oysters! And the Chesapeake ones are only 1.5 each during 4-7pm. I also got a house our of the cab. I do wish they had more options for house wines however. I also wish they had more portions. My father got the larger trout meal and it was kind of shocking just how small the bit of fish were. He also ordered a rum & coke and that looked liked it was in shot glass.

Had a great stop at Tom's as part of our Sunday Funday hopping around Royal Oak. We were able to be accommodated earlier than our planned reservation due to finishing up earlier at our prior stop and everyone enjoyed a nive round of oysters.

The food was good, however for surf & turf, the steak was very small. 4 pieces of asparagus, a large portion of mashed potatoes. The lobster was about 4-6 oz. The vodka tonic had very little of any vodka in it. Server was very good. Overall, would go again.
