Tom's Oyster Bar Royal Oak
I expected more considering the long history of Tom’s and was looking forward to my first visit but it wasn’t all that special. The clam chowder was among the worst I’ve ever had, oysters Roc was good, the portions for dinner were decent but my perch was nothing special, decent beer list but probably the worst part was the outdoor tent dining, the very weak heater above the table was insufficient and the sidewalk where my chair sat was so uneven I wobbled in my chair the whole meal. Definitely not worth the price for dinner and two drinks.
Great service!!!
The food and drinks were good. Drinks are a little pricey for the size. Overall good.
Drinks were really great. Our food was slightly above average but we'll be back.
Food was wonderful and it was nice to go to a familiar place. Service was great. Waiter was very attentive. A very memorable lunch with a good friend.
Despite Covid-19 restrictions the evening was enjoyable and the food was delicious!
Absolutely loved the atmosphere!! Super cute place and decorated very pretty for the holidays. The food was delicious too. Highly recommend the lobster fries and perch.
Efficient, clean and friendly. Food wasn’t quite as expected.
It was just wonderful, everything was fantastic. I had a great Birthday there.
Phenomenal place! They are doing their best with what covid has handed them. Any wait is worth it! Stay warm and order a Spanish coffee!
The service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and the menu is great.
I tried Tom's oyster bar for the first time, it was great food and amazing service, but it can be a little pricey if you're not paying attention to what you order.
The staff were very accommodating and kind. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
i use to love their oyster rockerfellers but they were overcooked so hard awlful...and the price has gotten outrageous
the clam chowder was good....
Great food and service
Everything was AMAZING! I love this place! Cheyenne's hospitality was spot on!
Service, staff, place everything was A+
Always great food and service.
The place is small but cute. Stuff is friendly. Service is good. Food isn’t extraordinary but we were there for our anniversary and the ambiance was good. We liked it. Thanks.
Second trip here, the first was for carry out. The food was OK, that's it. I had a bowl of clam chowder which was just okay. The jambalaya was the same, I was surprised. I was expecting something really good. We got seated right away. The waitstaff was good, but as slow as it was I would expect them to be great. Maybe it was an off night Hopefully they get it ramped up a bunch.
Had a delicious meal. Very clean and covid safe. Highly recommend this restaurant!
My 12 yr old and I went out for his birthday date, his first time out in months (thanks covid). All he wanted was crab legs! We got a Rez for 6:15. We sat down and expressed our excitement for oysters and crab legs. They were out of CL, Oysters, scallops and shrimp by 6:15, and there was nothing left on the menu that we were wanting. Extremely disappointed
Shoutout to our wonderful waitress, Kim. It was my boyfriends first time having oysters, so what better place to be?
Excellent food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Can’t go wrong. Great spot for date night or dinner with friends. Our server Kim was fantastic.
Ambiance was great. Service was spot on. A bit pricey, but so much that would prevent me from coming back. Lobster tail was over cooked. Steak was cooked perfectly! Had a nice seat at the window.
I loved the lobster bisque, the mahi mahi and also the lobster carbonara!!
Highly recommend the seafood paella and was soooo excited when I saw the have truly berry on tap. That was perfect.
tent was cold, heater was small. Solid metal chairs were really cold. Tent had buckles instead of zippers so the door stayed open for the most part. Food arrived with 15-20 mins before we had to leave. The whole outdoor thing is a pain for these restaurants, glad they can start dining back inside.
Everything was terrific. Loved the individual tent for my family to safely celebrate a birthday without concern of exposure. Service was fantastic as usual and the Spanish coffee was on point!
We were great full we could eat out in the tent. It was very cold for our feet. To be fair it was around 20 degrees. Food was good we had the grand tower as appetizer. Paella was ok And busy street but in COVID times we can’t complain too much.
Was a little scary eating in tents literally on the street. Every time a car went by, the slush from the road blew into our tent. Every time the servers came and went, they did not take the time to make sure the opening was closed (to keep the heat in). The food was cold by the time it got to us. Portion sizes were very small for the prices they charge. Tasted great but I can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant for dinner and didn’t take some left overs home. Not the case here. We ate everything we ordered and left disappointed and still hungry. Then to top it all off, there was a 150.00 minimum that I was not made aware of (after talking to an employee TWICE, that was never mentioned. Now I have a 40 dollar “gift card” so I HAVE to come back when I really was not impressed.
Great food and service. The tent was pretty warm too considering it was only 28 degrees outside when my husband and I had dinner and drinks at Toms. We will be back!
This was a great time! Floor heaters would be a great plus, though wasn’t the worst. Food and drinks were usual stellar quality. Waiters awesome!!!
Nice bday dinner with friends. Quiet and private. Would recommend dressing warm and bringing a blanket.
The service, as always, was outstanding. We had a wonderful time in the tent. Dress warm, bring blankets.
Food came out and it was cold before hitting the table. The sushi was good everything else mediocre.
Daughter’s 21st birthday.
My food was delicious! I was just very cold in the tent.
This was a great experience. The tent was a tad chilly at first. There was an overhead heater. By the time drinks and appetizers were served everyone was warmed up and had taken off their coats. The service and food was very good. It was a little noisy. The tents sit on Main St. So, traffic and pedestrians were heard. The noise level was not an interruption to our conversation inside the tent. We only really heard it when we were talking amongst each other.
Great safe tent dining experience with warm heaters and private spaces.
