We can walk to Tomo from our Buckhead home, which makes it even more appealing. We had dinner on Saturday evening with two other couples who were visiting Atlanta. Great vibe and the noise level is adequate for talking at the table. Our favorite is the lamb chops, but we also love the nigiri and sashimi. At but not least, we had great service and good wine.
Overrated and overpriced. There are much better sushi establishments in Atlanta.
Terrible food positioning.
Great food. Reasonable priced for sushi
It’s always great and service is good
As usually great experience! We are keep coming back as it's one of our favorite sushi place im Buckhead
Did the Tomo tasting menu, everything was delicious and the food came really fast. Defiantly will be back!
Been multiple times food is always excellent! Highly recommend.
Amazing sushi!!!! Will be going back for sure!!! My husband got Tomo special choice and it was out of this world good!!! Also great service!
Late Valentines Day
Very nice evening
Always good. Black cod is my favorite.
I had the Salmon plat and almost swallowed a bone... I sat in the dining area where I typically have always sat at the grills. I did feel sort of rushed as we were in and out in 30 minutes even with getting an appetizer. Our server was awesome and very respectful and the calamari was great.
Tomo was satisfactory. Waitress was helpful. Food was good. Ingredients seemed fresh. Seemed expensive but I have only been in Atlanta for a few months and have not been to many restaurants yet. I would go back if I was in the area and felt like sushi, just wouldn’t make a special trip.
Amazing as usual! If you are a true sushi fan just ask them to bring you something and you’ll be happy!!
Good food but pricey.
Loved atmosphere and the unique variety
Every experience is different every time. Love everything about TOMO.
Brought a vendor on Monday night for dinner. Service was great and the restaurant is in the heart of Buckhead area. We ordered Sea bass, Crispy pork belly and some appetizers . Fish was prepared in perfection (portion is on the small size) but pork was over cooked.
Overall we had a great experience and will be back to try other offers from the menu.
The sushi and sashimi at Tomo is always delicious! Using the freshest fish with innovative preparations is a winning combibation that always draws me back, time after time. The yellowtail with serano pepper is a must have, and my adventurous choice this time was the scallop. (It did not disappoint!) Unusual cocktails that pair well with the sushi are also a great draw, and the ambience is lively, yet intimate. Service is consistently good. In short, if you are looking for sushi, look no further...
One of the best sushi restaurants in Atlanta. Exquisite sushi, fresh and imported from Japan. Everything that you could wish for was presented in the Omakase by Chef Tomo. We loved every course and was delighted with the sushi he selected near the end of the meal. Omakase presentation was perfection, including edible flowers and delicious sauces. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Loved that Tomo has his own rules for eating sushi and they took away our chopsticks and never gave us soy sauce. Tomo puts it all on the sushi for you. We ate the sushi immediately as he presented it and we loved every minute of this experience. Highly recommend the Omakase at his table.
We ordered ~five different dishes and they were all off in a different way. Nothing really went together well flavor wise. We didn't like anything we had and regretted eating here. Service was ok. There were barely any customers, and some staff were standing around and talking.
Sashimi, Nigiri, and Sushi rolls are excellent. Apps and desserts were subpar. Service was solid.
Food is always good. I’ve had better but also much more often worse sushi. Service was strange. She would ask for our order and then pop over to the small bar area to tend to other patrons.
Anyway. I’ve been here several times and will definitely return. Food is good and great if you get the right thing. Prices are slightly high but not unreasonable given setting and fresh fish
We have heard about this place for years and finally got a chance to try it. Both the food and the service were amazing. I cannot wait to return!
Been here several times - very friendly staff, amazing food, awesome wine.
The Receptionist is rude. Dish too salty. Waitress is very nice. Don’t recommend to you.
The service was great but the food did not live up to the expectations. The squid had no flavor and the sushi was just plain. Not worth the 4.3 stars
The food and sake menus are great. Pierce, the bartender, was also awesome for after dinner drinks at the bar.
Mediocre fish with too much fusion flair. Also rice was not well made and needed more vinegar, in particular, a red vinegar would be nice for the oilier fishes
Tomo has never failed. The food is impeccable. The service is great and fun. I have probably been 10-15 times in the last 4-5 years and it is always great. Every time we go someone at the table says "Why don't we come more often." There is always something new and interesting to go back for.
Food was just okay, I expected fresher.
Such Ana amazing experience. T was the best waitress. She had so much knowledge about each fish and made the experience the best it could be.
Went here for the first time over the weekend. We were greeted by a very nice hostess. She sat us almost right away but my complaint was the location. It was a romantic little table in the front, but right in front of the door. It was cold on Saturday night so we could feel the cold air. I wanted to get up and move but didn't know how long it would be to get another table. Other than that, the experience was wonderful. Our server, T, was a pleasure. She recommended a couple dishes, which were outstanding. We loved the decor of the restaurant, simple yet sophisticated. We will be back!
They canceled because of the weather(snow)
We have enjoyed each time we have been there.
They were closed on Saturday and didn't make any attempt to contact us. Email asking for an explanation also went unanswered.
I have no issue what so ever with a business closing due to inclement weather. I DO have BIG issues with said business not notifying the folks who made reservations that they were closing. We drove 1.5 hours to have a special dinner out in the city, only to find a small sign on the door proclaiming they were closed due to weather. While there was snow on the grass, the roads were completely clean on that Saturday. There was major traffic in the area. The dining establishment we went to instead was FULL. No excuse Tomo. You had all necessary contact information for us from Open Table. Don't expect us back any time....
Restaurant was closed and didn't notify me. I drove there during snowstorm for no reason.
Have eaten here now at least 10 x times and keep coming back.
The food was fresh, healthy and somewhat edible, but it was uninspiring and lacked presentation. Some dishes were quite oily. It took too long to be served but it was not terrible. I wouldn't recommend simply because there is better Japanese in Atlanta for less money
