The food was fresh, healthy and somewhat edible, but it was uninspiring and lacked presentation. Some dishes were quite oily. It took too long to be served but it was not terrible. I wouldn't recommend simply because there is better Japanese in Atlanta for less money

Knowledgeable and attentive staff (you need that when not familiar with Sake or different types of sushi and sashimi). Personal attention given to us on a Saturday made it for a very memorable date night. Food was excellent, though they were out of some of the specialty Japanese fish because of the holiday. Modern decor and spacious seating made for a good ambiance.

After we were seated at a satisfactory table the services and food was spot on. Each was better than the previous. The pace was what dictated by the table and the server and chefs obliged.

We moved here from Las Vegas in February of 2017. We have been searching for an amazing sushi experience, but have not had any luck...until now. TOMO was a wonderful experience from the amazing sashimi and sushi created by the chef to the knowledgeable and friendly service. We got the Omekase and truly left it up to the chef. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better. The quality was amazing as well. We highly recommend it.

Don’t bother going to Tomo. Food was completely underwhelming and below average. Case in point: there was BONE in my negitoro — unacceptable in ANY sushi restaurant.

Tomo just simply never disappoints. Great food and friendly service. The manager, Cliff, checks on us on every visit to be sure we are well attended.

Ambiance was exactly what we were looking for a double-date night out. The sushi was very good, but overpriced because of the area.

Tomo appears to be an authentic Japanese restaurant, but having never gone to Japan, I can' t say for sure. Lots of items and variety on the menu. We were accommodated when we wanted to move to a different table. Food was excellent.

Excellent sushi for a very good price. This is as good as anywhere for the price. Yes, there are more expensive and more refined places but for a mid priced restaurant, with upscale ambiance I think this is hard to beat.

As usual the food was fabulous. Our waitress was probably the best we have had there. The restaurant is always a bit noisy but that’s because it’s busy. My favourite sushi place in town
We tsk a couple of friends who had not been there before, another Brit and his Malaysian wife. They loved it

My partner and I love this place!! Mei is a gracious host and we feel like family when we come. She is very pleasant and takes great pride in her job. The food is outstanding and doesn't compare to much in Atlanta, but her service is a great reason why we come back. Please visit if you are in town and do not be intimidated by the prices, everything is worth it.

This was my second time back at Tomo. The first was during a business lunch during which my colleagues and I sampled their lunch combo which was delicious. Ever since, I meant to take my wife there for dinner since we both love eating sushi during and are very particular about fresh fish and careful prep. Tomo did not disappoint with great dishes like the Usuzukuri appetizer, which featured a burst of ponzu flavored jelly on thinly sliced fluke, and the Japanese Snapper nigiri. The service was wonderful, and we had a caring waitress who took time explaining the dishes and made sure we tried the snapper without soy which would have messed with the flavor. At night time, the space turns nicely into a date spot and we look forward to our next night out there!

Tomo pipes-in horrible elevator music. The sushi was ok, but seemed just as uninspired and unoriginal as their terrible music app playing furniture store tunes in the background as you eat. If you are looking for good sushi and ambiance, try Umi, One Sushi, or Sushi House Hayakawa.

This is not your everyday sushi place - in a very good way! Super fresh fish prepared in the same old way if you want - but the twists on those sushi-staples is what makes this an exceptional place!

An absolutely unbelievable experience! We returned after visiting last year and were equally impressed and satisfied. Incredible sushi and sashimi, love beef, and a relaxed atmosphere. Although they were out of some selections, (to be expected when dealing with ultra fresh items), there was more than enough to choose from. No one visiting the Buckhead area should miss this experience.

Food was good. The raw nigiri/sashimi was incredible! My only regret was not ordering the nigiri/sashimi meals. Everything was so fresh! I had an appetizer and two rolls and they were good... but nothing I HAVE to have again, especially for the price I paid and the amount I got. However, if I'm spending the money, the seafood by itself should be the star of the show (and definitely well worth the money!!).

As usual, the food at Tomo was unparalleled. The fish is high quality and always very fresh. The drinks are goo and they have a few interesting beers that I have not seen at other Japanese restaurants in town. If I had any issue, it would be with the pacing of the meal. Our server was too attentive, if that is a thing. She brought dishes out too quickly and it made the experience feel slightly rushed. This would not deter me from going back as I go for the inventive tastes and fresh sushi. Great place overall and my wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner!
