I felt that our service was the best it could be for the situation given...my hubby and I had dinner reservations and arrived promptly. There were unruly guests still occupying our requested hibachi table, basically they had overstayed their welcome and we're very ride to the staff. This caused a delay in receiving our table, but I felt the staff did their best to resolve the situation for us. The evening ended up still being wonderful and the food was really good!

Tables are bit tight if your seat backs up to the table behind you. Service and food were good. Kids wanted hibachi and this fit.the bill. Not a great spot but its a good spot.
My group of 6 had a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday evening as we had to be at a show by 8:30. We were told upon arriving that they were running 30 minutes behind. That would’ve been ok, however, we had to wait 90 minutes to be seated at the hibachi table. Our chef was great, very funny, and the food was very good once we got it. This experience put us behind on getting to our show on time. Also, we were supposed to have 20% off with our show tickets but the server was unaware of this & had to ring up our tickets a second time for the discount. The manager should’ve given the server that information prior.
One of the worst meals we’ve had. Waited an hour for the hibachi chef when the restaurant was empty. The restaurant was left dirty from the other tables for half our meal. The staff was arguing in the dining room. Won’t be going back.
We had an early dinner at Tomo last Friday and the dinner itself was delicious like previous visits. We used a $50 Groupon which made the meal a good value. The Hibachi chef and our server were both courteous and professional, so the service and promptness of our meal were fine, along with generous portions. Towards the end of our dinner as we were boxing portions to take home and preparing to pay the check, a noisy group of people entered and sat at the Hibachi table directly behind us. These people obviously had been drinking as they were way too loud with ear-piercing shouts and screams! Management did nothing to calm them down, which was disappointing and we felt fortunate to have essentially finished our dinner when this group appeared. However, we will dine again at Tomo as this is the first time we have encountered such noise in the many times we have enjoyed meals at this place.

The waiter was overwhelmed forgot orders over charging. Never gave us salad never gave us refills never ask was everything ok. He was horrible. The person who cooked the food was AMAZING!!! Gratuity needs to giving according to service. He was a 0
Made reservations and then we were seated at a table not at a hibatchi. Our food came out cold. Very little vegetables with our hibachi meal. Rice was gross and yum yum sauce was terrible. Would not recommend to anyone.
Lot of fun. Hibachi was great. Food was excellent and the service was great. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back.

The waitress was awesome. The chef at the Hibachi was very nice and did a good job. However, we’ve paid much less at similar places for same meal/ experience.
Because the time was a long wait even doe i made reservations and still waited 1 hour and they didnt take my coupon i had bt the food and chef was great

The ambiance is nice but the food is overpriced for the quality. It was fine, nothing really to complain about, but it was probably the worst Hibachi I've ever had.
I purchased a Groupon Ticket on Tuesday 2/12 and as the coupon stated I should call Tomo and let them be aware of this coupon. The coupon was confirmed on 2/12 by staff along with my reservation. Four hours before the reservation on 2/14, I receive a call from a customer service representative from Tomo named Amy (216-356-6091) that the Groupon is not being accepted today, at the last minute? I could really care less about saving $20 dollars seeing I spent over $130 with no issue. However, I am more concerned on how this customer service was poorly handled as I was misguided.
Tomo is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to, everything was five star quality, from the staff to the food. We went for our anniversary, and had a wonderful time. I absolutely loved it.
It was absolutely amazing. They chefs and waitress/waiters were all so nice and they made my birthday one to remember
The food is great. I had the chicken teriyaki. I loved that it wasn't too sweet. The quality of the chicken was top notch. I had the Fancy Roll. It was delicious. Will be going back.

Top shelf Long Island was horrible/watered down with Coca Cola for $18! Meat portion cut in chunks for hibachi instead of smaller pieces. Yum yum sauce disgusting. Need to step up food, service and bar drinks. There were only two waiters and one had to bartender and serve! This place was great when first opened but has went down.
Tomo was recommended to us while we were in town as the best Sushi and it did not disappoint! Both the Godzilla roll and the Cleveland roll was excellent. Beautiful sushi! And our waiter and service was outstanding! Definitely will go back.
My son and I stopped in before a Brown’s game for sushi. Had an awesome lunch before the game, and walked to the stadium. Exceptional food, and service to match!
It was just awkward. No management. None. 2 servers and 1 cook. There was 1 person making sushi in a sushi restaurant in downtown Cleveland post Indians playoff game and pre Cavaliers preseason game. You do the math. Server wasn’t horrible and she cared. App, salad and soup came out fine. Then the sushi was sporadic. Table next to us waited over 10 minutes (and were still waiting when we left) to get all their entrees. They asked and our server appropriately apologized and said there was only 1 cook. The other server said, on our way out, said “I put it in, what else can I do”? Food was good. Sushi was decent. Tempura was great. However, the assumption of not having business on a Monday night with two events occurring showed a lack of planning, and made our friends birthday/moving to the Cayman Islands going away dinner less than stellar. We woukd have gone to 1 of 2 other sushi spots if it weren’t a Monday and they weren’t closed. I guess Mexican next time??? #disappointed.
The food was burnt and not edible. Save your money.
Overcooked tempura twice, not sure if they managed to success the third time but we walked out of restaurant affer the 2nd time. also ordered sashimi they brought out sushi instead and fish wasnt fresh.
The restaurants website was completely misleading. It made it seem like a high end place and it was a dump. The outside patio and dirty tables with nobody sitting at them accept the server that was ignoring her guests inside so she could smoke.
Our waitress was great we sat at the sushi bar. It wasn't at all what we expected. We will not be visiting again.

We enjoyed ourselves at Tomo Hibachi. The management and servers were friendly and entertaining even for a Sunday after a long week. Our chef and server were excellent, and the food was great. Even my brother inlaw who was with us, and happens to be a retired chef was happy with everything and he's not easy to impress when it comes to cooking. We will be back for sure.
Very welcoming place. Excellent service. Food in ample portions and extremely tasty. Love the yum yum sauce. Our hibachi chef kept the jokes coming and made the rice in a sweet heart shape for our anniversary.
We had another fun and tasty dinner at Tomo this past Saturday night. We used a $50 Groupon (purchased for $31) to make our evening quite economical. Our chef was pleasant and courteous as he cooked our food at the table. Compared to past chefs, this chef was not as animated and skillful at handling the cooking utensils and doing the usual food antics Hibachi chefs perform for their diners. However, he did a nice job cooking our food and we look forward to returning soon for another dinner. The check does include an 18% gratuity, but we always also tip the chef with cash. The Groupon makes the final price reasonable, especially if you order alcohol, which is pricey.
Food was excellent. Waiter was not great. Had to ask for our beers, slow getting the bill to us, it came incorrect, but I will say he picked up on it before us and it was in our benefit so he left it.

Their service was terrible. The menus were dirty and sticky. The place needs a good scrubbing. The chef was very good and food was decent. But the place was just too dirty for us.
Service was great, everyone was very friendly. I feel like the Hibachi meals were a bit pricey for the food that you received.
My girlfriend and I were in Cleveland for a weekend get away. We had a fantastic trip but the only negative thing during the 3 days we were there was dinning at TOMO. The entertainment during the cooking was some of the most inexperienced and she didn't even engage with the table. She failed at attempting the volcano more like a molotov cocktail explosion and no egg trick just a simple 1 at a time morning breakfast crack an egg and fry. The rice and veggies were barely fried and the flavor was bland. I ordered the shrimp and scallops and she ordered chicken and steak, we didn't order alcohol or appetizers and the bill was $89. The price would of been fine if it match the quality of entertainment and food. Please take this review very seriously and avoid this place. I'm not at all a person that complains unless its really bad.
Absolutely horrible. Our waiter hovered when we just got the menus to handing over the check. The sake was not sake, just warm white wine, the sushi boat was questionable, the fish looked days old and cut very thick. Overall worst birthday dinner I could've taken someone to.
Glad I had a voucher because I would not want to pay full price for the quality and service. The hostess was very friendly, but the waiter and chef were not. I've had better food from some Chinese take-out restaurants, so do not waste your money here. Food was definitely over salted and overcooked. Did not have the same energy as many other Hibachis I've been to and the music was playing so loud it was difficult to talk to my date or the waiter. Sad that this was my boyfriend's first hibachi experience; I'll have to take him to a different one for a better time.
Disappointed. Went for my son’s birthday. Restaurant was mostly empty. We were the only party (6) at a hibachi table. Service was slow and staff was nice but very reserved. Habachi chef was nice but threw rice on our plates. One person ended up with rice in her lap without an apology. Restaurant was not very clean. Our soy sauce containers were coated in dry, caled on soy sauce. Very very unappealing. Won’t be back
