Very Very Noisey . If you need a highchair make sure they have a working one, ours was. broken, with no others available.
Food is good and consistent. Very busy bar,
as is the Restaurant.

We wanted the patio and was seated away from a heater. They could not find one for us. Food OK, but wait staff is curt, unhelpful, especially the hostess. Long waits.

The food was delicious! I had the pork chop with the fig port wine reduction. I would order this again!! My husband had the fish of the day and said it was great. My son's salmon was amazing. The chef did a great job! -- My rating would have been higher except for the service. It could be that the server was new. He did not know answers to our questions. And he was slow. maybe he didn't have enough help while he was learning... if that was the case.
After the meal we had to remind the server that it was our guests' birthday. (We had put that info on the reservation) The server brought a tiramisu with a candle for the birthday girl. It was so good, my husband had to order one!! (and he doesn't usually eat tiramisu!-- it was the best we have ever had! So, we will go back for the food and are assuming that it was just a moment in time that the service was not good. One more thing, the bartender was great. Made delicious drinks!! I will try it for lunch very soon!! :)

Nice place, the food was good, my only complaint is the noise level. The restaurant is very loud, we had to speak with raised voices just so we could hear each other over the music and no acoustic filters. Unfortunately, because of this we will not return

This is one of our go to restaurants. The food is great, prices reasonable, and the staff are all fantastic. Sonny is our usual waiter and he always takes real good care of us. Everything on the menu is really good, from the Steak Diane, to the amazing pasta dishes, and their outstanding lasagna. Their wine list is pretty good too.

Met friends from out of town for lunch. Have mostly been here for happy hour or dinner. Had a dish on bar menu and wanted the toppings on pasta for lunch - saffron and shrimp - it was great! One of friends had the lasagna - it was huge and he said it tasted great.

A great Bressi Ranch neighborhood jewel!

My hamburger was warm and the criss cross fries soggy and cold. I drew their attention to that and got back the same fries and a heated same burger. I’m sure you can imagine how that tasted. That’s all.

We live in Bressi Ranch and probably eat at Tommy V's once every two weeks. It's always excellent and great for kids. I love the Chicken Parm and their Pesto is outstanding. Great beer on tap which is also a huge plus!

We went for a work holiday lunch and the food was great. The wine list was extensive and the food to share came out perfect. There was a mix of food types including seafood, beef and pork with a few vegetarian options as well. We were at the table for almost two hours and the server was attentive and had fun with the group making conversation during the ordering. The only negative was the noise level. Although we had a table of seven, many time I found myself struggling to hear the person next to me. Overall great food, drink and time.

The restaurant has that cold, few fabrics style that passes for trendy these days. That means that there are many reflective surfaces so there is a constant hubbub. Don't come to Tommy V's if you're looking for an intimate dinner or for quiet conversation with friends. It's meant to impress people more than to bond. The food is fine but pricey for what it is. For myself, I love Italian food served in an intimate, family-like setting. This is California trendy with all the coldness that evokes.

We made a reservation for 6 pm and the table was not ready until 6:10 and then no water was brought to us until 6:25. Ordered starters to share and had to ask for plates and silver ware. ordered a second drink from the bar and the waiter had to wait until the first was finished and came back to get the glass to be re-used. Spent $300.00 on dinner and will not ever go back.

Overall, a great dining experience. Nice neighborhood setting, very friendly and attentive service. We have been there a number of times and enjoyed it. Their Burrata & Avocado Panna Cotta was EXCELLENT—a very light and enjoyable appetizer. Each time that I have had one of their fish selections, it has been good.

One minor thing is that the noise level is pretty high and everybody has to raise their voice to be heard.

We went to happy hour and sat on the patio - very pleasant and quiet . We had drinks and Roman artichokes. I can’t say enough about the artichokes - delicious! They are spicy, so if that isn’t for you, just ask them to tone down the heat.

Overall, the dining experience was good. The steak bruschetta could have offered a a more generous portion of meat; the chicken parmesan red sauce was delicious; however, it was served with a rich gnocchi/pesto. Each dish on its own was delicious, but together, the red tomato sauce and rich pesto were overpowering.

The service was slow; as we were not in a rush it was not an issue.

The classical guitarist was wonderful.

Chose to sit on patio as inside dining room is loud. Lovely outside - heat lamps always available if needed. Had the bartender's own creation - capellini with vodka sauce and meatballs - awesome. My friend had salmon and artichokes. All topped off with Tiramisu. Will definitely be back again soon.

Food is pretty good, but inside the noise level is so high, that it is impossible to have a conversation, which is why I requested the patio for our Ladies luncheon. Unfortunately
I was totally ignored when I mentioned my reservation with the preferred seating request. Although I was lucky after all, because one of the ladies seems to be known - and upon her request they managed to put tables together for us. We only go there with friends that seem to like it. If we crave Italien food, Firenze in Escondido is much more to our liking.

I took two girlfriends who were visiting from Houston here the other day for lunch. It took quite a few minutes to get seated even though the restaurant was only one third full. Then it took quite a long time to get our order taken and getting our food took forever. Not sure what was going on but waiting for almost 30 minutes for a flatbread and sandwiches was ridiculous. The pear flatbread was good but not very flavorful....missing something to make it really delicious. The girls ordered the meatball panini and thought it was delicious. I will definitely go back but it wasn't quite up to the standard that I normally see here. Maybe just an off day so I will try again.

Great menu. Highly recommend the artichoke appetizer. One of us had the filet mignon and it and the sauce were perfect. Only complaint was that the salmon and crab penne should be renamed salmon and salmon penne. The crab was not visible. Very dog friendly patio.

Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We all tried different dishes and were very happy with the results. Presentation was nice and the wait staff was very accommodating. We got there late and there was only the regulars at the bar. Around 9pm the place started to fill up and really start hopping. Seems like this is a locals hangout with good food, a great bar, and good service.

I'll start by saying the calamari appetizer was one of the best I've had. Very tender and delicious. I was not a fan of the creamy French onion soup. Not quite what I expected. It was ok, just not my favorite. My wife had the eggplant and said it was very good. I had the short rib pappardelle dish. It was ok. Again not the best pappardelle noodles or sauce I've had, but the short rib meat was very good. We will likely try this place again and try some new dishes. Worth a second chance.

First impression was not good at all. It's a large space and there were only 2-4 tables. It got somewhat busier, but not much. Adding to making an awful impression was the fact that, having never been to that area, the entry was not obvious at all. We went to a door near the bar area. It was locked - however, a server was standing right next to it. She looked right at us and walked away. When we did finally make it inside, we stood at the podium for at least a couple of minutes while 3 servers looked at us and walked right on by. I finally went to find help (we should have just walked out). A girl begrudgingly lead us to a table.
Suffice it to say I will never take anyone there again!

Family in town and was looking for great casual Italian food without going into town. This was great selection with great food and service. Bobby did a great job with my father-in-law who is very picky about this food and service. We all had a great time and meal in casual, quiet setting.
