Tommy V's Urban Kitchen and Bar Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Excellent overall experience. We had four different entrees and two different salads between us, so saw a good profile of the menu. The salmon and two chicken entrées were excellent, but my pork scallopini’s sauce with startlingly salty. Service was unobtrusive and exceptional. The tiramisu was very tasty. You will enjoy your time here.
Really enjoyed dining here! As many of you know, I prefer “ample” real estate while dining. They accommodated my request for a 4-top, or larger while making mention of my request when checking in. Our female server was very friendly and efficient. My friend and I started with Prosecco and fried Buratta which was very tasty. We then split a goat cheese and beet salad.
For entree’s my friend had fettuccine bolognese and I had the special... I’ve ordered it once before as “Fruit Del Mar” which is essentially cupinno over pasta. The pasta was black squid ink spaghetti, which was fun, but if my eyes were closed I would not have known the difference. The presentation was appetizing, and after de-shelling my meal (I’m positive Lobster is served in the shell and shrimp aren’t de-tailed to enhance the appearance) it was fabulous, with a pretty good spicy kick!
Not overly “wow-ed” with the sweets selection, so we both opted for coffee... which was fresh and hot at 9:30. The managers (maybe owners) thanked us when we left and I expressed my gratitude for a lovely dining experience from start to finish.
They said that they hope to see us soon which is oddly funny that I made reservations to try it 6 days later! I will review round two. Highly recommend! Pretty tempered atmosphere, but did give it a “moderate” noise level because of the party of 8 that were talking and laughing like they had rented the entire place... at least they were having fun!
Our group (with a reservation) was seated immediately upon arrival. I really liked the round table for the business group that I had there. The food was very prompt and good, however one person complained that the scallops were tough (and we were comp’d for that). Overall, excellent service!
We enjoyed our meals and the service was good. A little loud in the main dining area so not always easy to converse. It was chilly or we would have done outside which seems like it would be much nicer and relaxing. We have been here before and would return.
We were seeking an Italian dining experience --- and the name had us thrown off as no where would you get a sense — unless you checked out the menu in advance as we did.
Thankful that we did as they have amazing food!
Patrick was an phenomenal waiter and we had a great time with him as well!
Definitely fits my bill as a place I would go back - which is the highest rating I can give...
I have been coming to this restaurant for years until I moved to NY last year. Went back couple nights ago and was disappointed with the food. Must have changed management. My go to food was the charcuterie board, they really trimmed down the amount. Probably will not come back.
The food is very good. Three out of 4 of us ordered off the nightly specials menu. Since they probably change from night to night, I won't go into detail about the entrees, but in general we all enjoyed them. The fourth person order the Lobster and Shrimp Fettuccini from the regular menu, and it was also very good. I ordered the Pear Salad, and it was a bit disappointing because there were only 3 slivers of pears on it (are they out of season and not available?). The service was very good as well. As time went on, the noise level increased quite a bit, making it difficult to hear each other. Perhaps sitting outside would alleviate this issue. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.
This was our first time dining here. We brought our friends who live in Scottsdale. The food was excellent as was the ambience. Our server was very attentive and even the owner/ manager came over to our table to make sure that everything was good! We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed an early evening on the patio for happy hour dining and it was delicious! Great service treating us as if we were there for the full menu.. which we later ordered from as my husband wanted pasta carbonara which wasn’t on the menu but they made him a dish! The pulled pork on potato cakes was great as was the salmon bruschetta. I had the risotto carbonara and it was a little dry but flavorful. My son raved about the butternut squash ravioli. My husband enjoyed the Spinoni bomber for dessert. Nice wine list and would definitely recommend!
Christmas Eve was the perfect time to have dinner at Tommy V's. The minute we arrived everything was outstanding. Service, drinks, dinner, ambiance! Would definitely recommend! My husband has hosted 3 business dinners here as well and can't say enough about this place.
