Our server was outstanding! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the restaurant was very accommodating with our request to sit outside
We enjoyed our dinner quite a bit. They have a great patio. Although nothing was outstanding, everything was competently prepared and tasty. The pear salad was great, with a very tasty dressing. Be prepared to consume your fair share of garlic and olive oil. Not award winning, but worth going back for, and a break from the trendy.
Happy hour everywhere I restaurant. Nice, quiet, attractive. Good food, good happy hour prices.
Dining here is always enjoyable. The food and service are both excellent. The salads are very good, and we've never had an entree that we didn't like. We also feel that the menu is reasonably priced. We prefer to sit in the larger room where the bar and tv's are because the other room is a bit sedate and the patio looks at the parking lot. We went on a Sunday evening, and it was not busy and was very quiet which was nice since it can get very noisy.
Terrific food and service. Chicken parm and pasta bolognese were excellent. Only regret is that we were headed to airport and couldn’t take the leftovers with us!
Requested patio dining and were seated there right away. Drew waited on us and he did an excellent job. Very professional and personable!! Food was very good as usual. Enjoyed the evening there.
Consistently excellent. Food, cocktails, ambiance, service...5+.
And Dylan, our server, could not have been better. Will always ask for him. And Zoran and Nicole are the perfect host and hostess. Clearly one of my favorite places where even if alone, I would always feel comfortable
Dining at Tommy V's is a pleasure. This time we brought friends who were trying it for the first time. They had trouble hearing in the noisy area near the bar so we asked to be moved outside. The staff was quick to accommodate and it was actually very pleasant dining out there. Even though the patio is adjacent to the parking lot the space has a nice feel to it. The food and service were great as always.
Great food and service!!!
Our family has been loving this restaurant for years. It holds many memories including an after funeral family meal for my mother-in-law. I am guessing we have come here off and on since it opened . Friendly staff, management and excellent kitchen management. The food is consistently excellent. Some restaurants you go to for the same dish. Here we have selected many different dishes and found new favorites with each visit. This visit was the lasagna....stellar. Thank you Tommy V!
Never had a bad meal here. Food is outstanding
Fabulous food ( large portions ). We dined on a Friday night at 5:30 with our kids and our waiter made everyone feel special and welcome. Definately will come back
Best Risotto we have ever had! Great Dinner. Amazing Happy Hour
Met for lunch with some friends from out of town that we had not seen for awhile. Our waiter was very attentive and didn't rush us. He was helpful describing the menu selections and any special requests. We lingered for a time and he often asked if we needed drink refills. would definitely return and recommend the restaurant to friends
Very slow service & a harried server. Steaks over-cooked. But we love this restaurant & this was an unusual experience.
Server had a bit of an attitude. Food was delicious!
Patrick was awesome and the food was very good.
The service was excellent! The food was delicious and served perfectly! The Carpaccio was wonderful, and the Pappardelle was outstanding (if you like delicious Italian sausage, this dish is a hands-down winner)!
Lackluster at best, not worth the money or time. Some food is overcooked, other not seasoned properly. Will not be returning.
Absolutely the best Italian food in the valley. Ask for Kevin, great server
Terrific food !
Poor tomato based sauce with calamari starter. Scallops entree almost fully lacking in flavor.
Nice place; nothing extraordinary.
Service is very good and professional; diner was average.
Lamb was lacking flavor, brussel sprouts were boiled mush. Server was attentive but aloof and disinterested.
The food is consistently excellent. The servers and bartenders are extremely friendly and helpful. They make customers feel very comfortable. Always an enjoyable time.
Fun place to be before the show. Service was excellent and food awsome
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day we had dinner at an Italian restaurant. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Noise level was probably moderate+ as there were quite a few pedi-cabs and beer bikes bringing St. Pat's celebrants around Scottsdale that evening. We had a nice bottle of wine (sagrantino) with our meal. The app was salmon cakes. They were made very similar to crab cakes, ok but nothing I would get again. Mine was a bit cold in the middle. The entrees were large and well prepared. I had risotto with grilled shrimp and my companion had linguini with white clam sauce (there were plenty of clams). We each took a portion of the entrees home. Dessert was tiramisu for me, tasty but heavy. A nice place for dinner, especially if outside dining is available.
Great happy hour drinks and appetizers. Great stop before a concert at the Scottsdale Performing Arts Center.
We will be back for dinner.
We were celebrating our friend’s’ anniversary. And the service and food were top notch. Was impressed by the size of the potions.
Great dinner - Attentive, helpful staff, comfortable environment, delicious food made with fresh ingredients and served hot. Wine list provides good choices in many varietals- most priced reasonably.
This is the second time at Tommy V's. Service was excellent. Had the grilled lamb chops which were excellent, but the fingerling potatoes were underdone. Otherwise, overall good food at a reasonable price for this style of restaurant.
All the food is delicious! The eggplant torta and the soup are outstanding!
It was fine. I had the pan-seared salmon with baby artichoke risotto. The risotto was completely flavorless. The salmon was fine, but honestly, I cook better salmon at home. It wasn’t bad. It was just mediocre. For the price point, which I think was $24, I was disappointed. I don’t think I’ll be back.
Ordered my lamb chops medium rare, came out just about "well done". Chops were small, but chef should have accounted for size of chops to cooking time. I don't return food items because you don't know what they may do to food. Last time I returned some over cooked steaks at a high end restaurant, they came back raw.
I met my Brother and sister in law at Tommy V's and when I entered the restaurant at 530 there was maybe 1 or 2 tables being served; we ordered a cocktail and then dinner by 6pm we were not served till 710pm; there were tables that turned over with new dinner guests while we were still WAITING to get our dinner!!! The waitress did stop once and say the kitchen is really backed up and it should not be much longer; we waited another 20 minutes!!! The dining room was moderately filled but by no means was there a huge crowd!! And even if there had been we had been there LONG BEFORE the vast majority of the diners that were already eating!! Once the entrees finally showed up they were very good and surprisingly hot. But no apology from the manager and our waitress gave us a simple "im sorry it took so long guys". Thank goodness it was a sunday evening and we were not in a real hurry however I was very disappointed in our experience that particular evening!! I may be back but i will make sure it will be at a time where I am not in a hurry!!
Great time, great people and even went over board on the drink creation for us.
Like the food, staff is great. Location in Old Town is perfect for our yearly vacations to Scottsdale. Order the spaghetti and meatballs. Noisy and pricey but good.
This place is clearly doing well. It was packed on a Monday at 5:30pm...great food and decor, loved the ambiance. Met some girlfriends there and will definitely be going back! Wonderful service too!
I had not eaten at Tommy V's for a very long time...no particular reason. I had a number of friends visiting and we wanted to dine close to my place. So I made a reservation at Tommy V's. All without question thought the food was fantastic, varied and reasonably priced. The service provide by our server, Dillon, Was excellent. What a pleasant surprise. I'll will return with other friends as they come to visit during Spring Training.
Food and staff have always been great and my out of town visitors loved it as well.
