Tommy V's Urban Kitchen and Bar Scottsdale
We had a 6:30 reservation on a Saturday and were seated promptly. They placed bread and water on the table before we could even ask. Our server was very efficient and took time to explain the specials. My wife ordered the tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce along with a Caesars salad. I had the bruschetta appetizer and then the chicken parm. My wife enjoyed her salad and the tagliatelle but didn’t think the sauce was anything special. The bruschetta was outstanding as was the chicken. The piece was gigantic so obviously a double breast. A nice marinara and a side of linguini which I hardly touched and ended up taking home. We were too stuffed for desert so maybe next time. Overall a good experience and we will definitely return. As a side note as the place fills the noise level rises quite a bit so be prepared.
Not sure I'd recommend. It would depend on what you are looking for. The lack of Luxardo cherries for good Prohibition Style drinks is a real downer and we probably won't return just because of this. When we want a quality drink, it needs to be made correctly and the fact they don't even have ANY Luxardos is a red flag. Everyone has their thing. Also, you just don't put a Maraschino in an Old Fashioned. It's just wrong and an insult to the cocktail. I think they must've switched up the bartender also. The guy that used to be there was awesome. Not too sure about the attitude on the new gal. On another note, we had the Salmon Bruschetta and the Sauteed Calamari. I would NOT recommend the Sauteed Calamari...rubbery and ewwww. Salmon Bruschetta was good though. Not at all busy at 5pm, which was nice. Service was good.
Everything was great as usual. Looking forward to visiting again soon
WoW! My colleagues and I had a stopover in Pheonix and we decided to go Italian in Scottsdale We were pleasantly surprised to find an accommodating host who was welcoming, personable and made excellent entree recommendations. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the wait staff was courteous. We had a very lovely dinner and were very satisfied with our selections. The dessert was a Tortufo and it was out of this world. I mistakenly left my sunglasses at our table and our host called my cell to let me know and I was able to quickly retrieve them before heading off to Sedona. I would definitely recommend TommyV's to everyone.
The food was just ok. Our rare steak was cold in the middle which if you read about it should be warm .. the manager responded by saying that’s the way it should be and snarking asked “ what do you want us to do for you sir “. All the cooks were looking out in a jerky way
A sure bet for great food and service.
Tommy V’s does not disappoint! Very Nice!
Chef Lorenzo's preparations are the best. We could not be more pleased with his food.
As lovely, if not as pleasurable as our first visit. Our meal was delicious!! The hosts and wait staff are friendly and polite, we will definitely return, thank you Tommy V's ❤️
Nothing about the food was enjoyable. Giant let down.
Pasta trio was good but my wife’s salmon risotto dish was not so good. Salmon had no flavor at all and the risotto was over cooked. But the bread was great and drinks too service as well. We will be back to give it another try next time in Scottsdale.
Food was good but service was poor. It was a later reservation in Scottsdale (7:30 PM) and by time meal was done staff was so much in a rush to get us off site so that they could close for the evening by 9 PM. Once again, food and restaurant appear good but will be hesitant to reserve again if you want to have a fun night out with friends.
an excellent dinner. delicious food and lots of menu choices.
We went for AZ restaurant week and were very happy we went to Tommy V’s. Excellent food that was hot and plentiful. Great service, too. This will become a regular for us as well as our dining pals.
Our food was delicious, the staff was so professional and the bill wasn’t even as much as we expected. Highly recommend. So glad we went and we would definitely return.
Participated in the restaurant week menu. Was delicious! Good value for that special!
We absolutely loved Tommy V's. The food was delicious, the waitstaff was very attentive to make for a very enjoyable evening. We would definitely visit again.
Went for restaurant week and got the fixed price menu. Food was excellent - very good tastes and well prepared. Had 3 courses and all were good and nice portion sizes. Crab and shrimp ravioli app was very good. Service was good but felt a little pushed at times. We will go back!
Second time at the establishment for my husband and I. First time for the 2 couples we had dinner with and they simply enjoyed the place. The atmosphere was great, noise level was just RIGHT!! Food was wonderful and price points were reasonable, seafood dishes are on the pricy side. Overall enjoyed by all.
Great food and drinks. Knowledgeable staff. Took a long while to get our check picked up for processing.
Loved the nice oval table for 6 and linens...no bare tables at this nice joint. The food was delish. We took advantage of the Restuarant Week specials. Outstanding! It was relatively quiet but maybe because the restaurant was not full. Very pleasant serving staff; very pleasant environment.
Patrick our waiter was a weirdo and argumentative. Our experience was hampered by him.
Always excellent and consistent quality of food. Stylish urban atmosphere. Excellent wine list. It’s a go to favorite for us.
Have been there numerous times, this time not up to par !
Great spot for a real value and great tasting food.
Wine selection was excellent, price was fair. Some of the entrees were a little bland tho. In all fairness everyone was happy with the experience.
Food is great! Nice atmosphere. Service is very good, too.
A delight to find so close to the Arts Center! It’s always a treat to find something that exceeds your expectations.
The entire staff was friendly and attentive. The owner even checked in on us. The food was amazing. We’ll definitely come back very soon.
It is our favorite restaurant and brought new friends and they are now new fans!!
Tremendous, unique food in a casual, yet upscale atmosphere.
Food and service is always great. The only suggestion I have for them is to have horseradish available for your customers. Calamari sauce desperately needed some & how can you make a Bloody Mary without it!
Our waiter was not good. He made numerous mistakes and as a result the manager made numerous adjustments to our bill (without us asking). One entre was excellent and one was very mediocre. We will give it one more try in the future.
Salad with ribeye, not eatable, ribeye was tough. One medium rare lamb chops was extra rare and cold, one medium rare lamb chop was cold when served then micro waved and ruined, shrimp lobster pasta was ok. Manager was informed by Waiter and didn’t care enough to come by.
My daughter and I shared 4 delicious appetizers...Chef’s platter, carpaccio, asparagus, and beet salads. We cannot say enough how delicious everything was! Oh, wine and Pellegrino also. We love coming here whenever we are in the area and are never disappointed.
We ate here so that we might be close to the Thursday night Art Walk. Arriving just before 6 PM gave us a chance to order our wine at happy hour prices. The braised short rib was excellent. The pasta trio was very tasty. The only way to make it better would be if the pasta was homemade.
But a funny thing happened when a manager asked about our baseball caps since my wife and I are fans of rival teams. It led to a long discussion of places and people I knew back in Chicago. The reminiscing was great.
Great location and enjoyed our service, Food was outstanding and great wine list. This is a must stop again when we visit Scottsdale.
Great service and fantastic food
Good restaurant, best seats are by windows.
