Tommy V's Urban Kitchen and Bar Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Very good food at reasonable prices. Attentive service. If sensitive to spicy foods, inquire about any dish you are thinking of ordering. A seafood skewer on risotto turned out to be very spicy. This place can be noisy inside; better outside if weather permits.
On holiday in Scottsdale, gave this restaurant a try because it was the closest to our hotel. It was a superb evening. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful the food was outstanding ( I had lobster fettucine, my wife had the salmon). We would have loved to try their pudding menu but the main course portion sizes were so large that we were simply too full. We shared a bottle of Californian Sauvignon Blanc and the total cost of the meal (2 courses each) was around $100 which seemed pretty good value. I would recommend the place to anyone.
We have been coming to Tommy V’s for the last few years, every time we visit Scottsdale. We have NEVER had a bad meal... The food is great, the wine list is extensive, and the staff is fantastic. Tim and Lindsey(?), our waiters, were terrific, very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive! Chris the manager is great and Zoran, the owner, makes every single person who walks through the door welcome! We will continue to eat at Tommy V’s as long as Zoran is there. Thanks
This was my first visit to this restaurant. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday; it was her choice.
The management and wait staff were very friendly and attentive and we had numerous people waiting on us.
The food was good and the menu had a great variety for everyone's taste.
My friend received a complimentary birthday dessert, which we all shared and was delicious.
I would return to this restaurant.
I was looking for a last minute dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We ended up having about 22 guest. They were more than accommodating when I booked the reservation, they were polite, courteous, well organized, and all around great. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter however, the waiter we had was excellent, calm, and on top of everything with the 22 guests we had. Last but not least, the food... Delicious! I personally had the filet and my wife had the scallops. Highly tecommend both. All the other guests were ranting and raving how great their food was as well. This will be on top of my radar when I come back to, Scottsdale.
Zoren(spelling), hats off to you my friend. Thanks for all that you did and keep up the great work and amazing dishes.
I was with 4 friends and my daughter for dinner. I thought the restaurant itself was very nice and located perfectly. The service was good. My first Vodka and soda was weak and my second drink was strong. (I liked my second drink). The people I was dining with were all thrilled with their food. My dinner left something to be desired. I had the risotto and shrimp. It was very bland (even the shrimp) and it could have used more vegetables. I still enjoyed the evening and would dine here again but would order a different dish.
First time dining at Tommy Vs and in Scottsdale. My wife ordered one of the specials and due to a mixup the fish was served a completely unexpected way. Our waiter Adam got our meal comp’d and got a quick replacement on the table which was a great choice. They also comp’d our dessert. Food was great and service was nice also. If I lived in the area would definitely go back.
Simply terrific!! Tim was an awesome waiter! Great recommendations! The food was fantastic - from the calamari to the beet salad and spicy short rib soup!! My wife had the bolognese with gluten-free pasta - probably the best she has ever had. I simply devoured the short rib dinner!! My aunt thoroughly enjoyed the pork tenderloin! Great evening all the way around! Thanks so much!!
Food, service and management are always on point! The food is delicious with very generous portions and the staff goes out of their way to know their menu, make suggestions and if needed make accommodations. NIce atmosphere and when the weather is nice they offer outside dining. This is a great hidden gem in Old Town. They do not disappoint!
Made reservations and were provided a very nice window seat. Service was nice and competent. For starters we opted for the fried Buretta cheese. It was crunchy on the exterior but some of it was runny. They split the beet salad w/o asking. The wife had the "stacked" eggplant Parmesan and I had the chicken marcella. Nice portions well prepared. We enjoyed the four d w the exception of the chocolate cake with chocolate geletto. It was boring and expensive.
Nice job to the crew at Tommy V's
Restaurant Week visit with a group of friends. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a good meal. One friend ordered bacon-wrapped prawns (not on RW menu) to share and those were delish. I enjoyed my gnocchi for appetizer and salted caramel gelato for dessert. I liked the eggplant involtini, but the ricotta was a lot. Loved the side of butternut squash ravioli and thought that should've been the main dish, not the side. Appreciated the complimentary birthday pie slices brought out for my friends. Good night, will swing through again.
Parking was a bit tough, as to be expected in Scottsdale.
Went for Restaurant Week (RW). The gave us the RW menu up front as well as their normal menu. I mention this as other restaurants sometimes try to hide the RW menu unless you request it. We ate outside and were allowed to choose our table. The portions were very generous and the service (Adam) was outstanding. We were not rushed. The four of us agreed that the food and service was excellent and a return visit a must.
This is our go-to place every once in a while. The people from the owners to the bar and other service people are always wonderful! The bar is a great place to have a before dinner drink, but a table is where we prefer to eat. We usually go about 6:30 pm and we are glad that we make reservations as, sometimes, big groups of people are here celebrating something and it could be difficult getting a seat. The food is always good and there are specials every time. I happened to get the pork chops and my wife had the chicken piccata and both dinners were fabulous as always.
The food was good except for the when our friend found a hair in her wine. The restaurant in general was decorated nice but I noticed out table was a fold up table from Costco when I was sat on the edge where the table legs left no room for my legs. Typical old town pricing. Our servers were on top of everything and took great care of us.
