The meals were wonderful!
Our waiter was fantastic and apologetic but the service was abominably SLOOOOOOW - not Island pace, but terribly understaffed at the bar for 12:30 lunch service- with reservations on a Monday. We waited 30 minutes for WARM drinks to arrive, in a restaurant that was 75% empty- although the bar seemed busy due to the fact there was only ONE BARTENDER WORKING.
When our food finally came it had obviously BEEN SITTING THERE, WAITING TO BE PICKED UP FOR QUITE SOME TIME because it was gross. I’ve had the Filet Mignon Flatbread with Greens dressed in Aioli many times at other TH locations- always a CRISPY CRUST with FRESH GREENS, LIGHTLY TOSSED w/DRESSING...this was a mushy, undercooked pre-made “crust” with greens so drenched in aioli they looked like 2 week old baby greens left rotting in your salad drawer. The “filet mignon” was 6 minuscule pieces of raw steak 1/3 size of a baby finger nail & the gross ensemble was topped with deep fried mushrooms- massacred within 1/100 of an inch of being recognizable. 3 other entrees, expensive drinks + tip with dear friends...all traveled from CA for a 10 Year Wedding Anniversary Lunch which was not even acknowledged, although noted on our reservation!!!!
You guys need to get some training from the Tommy Bahama Leadership Team in Palm Springs or on the Big Island: Shops at Mauna Lani- consistently AMAZING - for the past 15 years- multiple visits per year and they are AN AWESOME REPRESENTATION OF YOUR BRAND! Always outstanding. So sad you guys let us down, again.
Went there to celebrate a birthday and they didn’t disappoint! Food , ambiance and drinks were delicious. Definitely a great place to dine!
The food was great. A few corrections to how some of the food was prepared and to the bill, but overall the evening was very nice. We all know mixups happen, great leadership shown from the management ensured a great customer experience.
Considering the location, this is one of the best values in Wailea. Paid less for dinner than what lunch would cost in any of the nearby hotels. The fish is fresh (Pacific sea bass) and the drinks are delicious.
Tommy Bahama’s is always an amazing dining experience. The ambiance is Island Style with excellent service and food.
The ahi was outstanding. I they have the best lava flows!
Friendly atmosphere and nice service!
On our quest for the best mai tai in Maui, so far Tommy Bahamas has the best. Great music on the patio, fresh fish specials were excellent. Our server couldn’t have been nicer.
Pleasantly impressed with the overall quality and experience.
Bad seating and very mediocre food. Cerviche was awful. Sad to have had this experience as we have come in years past and enjoy d our meals. Also VERY noisy
Great location and ambience, service was good too. Food was very mediocre.
A bit disappointing this time round. Food service was slow and the ahi was fatty and just unappetizing. Nice pina colada though!
Our waiter Adam was very attentive and delivered great smiles snd service - will be in next time we are in Wailea
We were here about a week ago when there was off and on rain. That closed the outside (a negative) and probably doubled the wait staff (a positive).
This time it was just cloudy so the outdoors was open and we got a corner table - but for us, who like to share life together - too many kids, too much entertainer noise and random service since he was spread too thin.
We will return, but we have learned to "watch the weather".
Great Martini. Nice outdoor seating with live music. Friendly service.
The food, the service and the value make this one of our favorite restaurants on Maui. It's well kept up, but not trendy. We would have preferred dining in the lanai, but occasional showers stopped that. As Arnold said: we'll be back.
We have been going to Tommy Bahamas in Wailea for 11 yeas and it used to be our favorite restaurant. However, in the last 3-4 years the menu has changed ..... they took away our favorite brownie dessert, changed the sauce for the ribs, and now did away with the ahi stack. The new ahi appetizer presentation was undesirable, and it had such a fishy seaweed taste that it was inedible. It will be long time before we return to Tommy Bahamas. Also the service was slow and restaurant was very noisy. A big disappointment!
Great happy hour the coconut shrimp is amazing! The fish tacos were not good. Fun drinks and great prices.
Had a great dinner and our server, Adam, was OUTSTANDING!!!
Slow service overall and food was a disappointment for the price vs what you can get at the nearby hotels.
We were seated, like everyone else, about 10 minutes after our reservation, and based upon our arrival order prior to the reservation time. Food arrived on our table about 50 minutes after being seated, not including the couple of baskets of bread that were provided along with the apologies for the time it took for the food to arrive. Food was perfectly acceptable but for the same price you can do better at the hotels both north and south of here.
What a pleasant surprise! From appetizer to salad to entrees, everything was delicious. We dine out a lot and found this is definitely a place we will return.
having "island time" will become one of our treasured traditions when we visit Maui. Food was great for the kids and for us. Their handcrafted cocktails beat out all of the fancy hotel bar's that we tried. Cant wait for next year to come back!
Good food. Service was a bit slow though it was a busy night. Staff was very friendly and appropriately attentive.
Not nearly as good as tommy Bahamas on the big island.
Food was quite tasty and unique. Scallops sliders were particularly memorable!
Beat of any TB hands down. Live music was a plus. Fresh local fish.
Food and ambience is always wonderful. The food is always excellent. We eat there often.
Nice meal, located in the Wailea Shopping mall and walkable from most of the Wailea hotels.
Tony was a great server. In fact all staff, including the managers were attentive and accommodating. We had a great time!
The best Happy Hour on the island!!
Excellent all round.
Very pleasantly surprised. Great food and great service. We were not disappointed.
Always great food and service even when packed!
For some reason the reservation from Open Table was for the wrong day. The staff quickly fixed it . Food was great and service excellent. Room was noisy but the experience was great
Food was awesome. Go with the fish!
Friendly staff greeted and promptly seated us. Knowledgeable and professional waitress explained the menu, kept our water glasses filled and served our meal with a smile. The cocktails were strong and the food flavorful. An enjoyable and delicious dinner.
Bad food! Very tasteless. The service was quick though.
The food was average. The drinks were really good. It was quiet when we went for a late lunch and sitting on the shaded Lanai was lovely.
Very nice setting on the patio, except no ocean view.
You can’t miss with this restaurant. From the goat cheese appetizer to the bungalow salad to the Mac crusted mahi to the malted chocolate pie - everything was amazing. Came three times in 10 days and drove almost an hour each way to get there. Would have gone every day if the restaurant was closer to our hotel!!
