Very good!! Fish tacos
Everything at Tommy Bahama was great! I had the filet and it was cooked and prepared perfectly. We also had the loaded tater tots to start and let me tell you they were AMAZING! My husband had the filet tacos and he really enjoyed them. I would definitely recommend and come back when in the area.
Vacationing in Sandestin and enjoyed a pleasant, delicious dinner at Tommy Bahamas. Rita was our server and provided us excellent service. Highly recommend.
Great 👍 Fantastic
great place, service , and food. But Destin is a noisy holiday town. Expect crowds, and noise.
We always have a great experience here.
Excellent service . Good food and wonderful atmosphere . Look forward to coming back !
Celebrating our 50th anniversary and they truly treated us special. Loved the food! We sat outside and enjoyed the mild temps and great live music. Loved it
The lump blue crab bisque is to die for!!!! Ahi Tuna tacos were great! World famous coconut shrimp with papaya-mango chutney, island slaw and grilled asparagus was and always is fabulous! We ordered a side of the almond rice because we love it too.
The pina colada cake is a must as is the key lime pie!!!!
Always a favorite of ours while in Sandestin!!!!! Last trip in May we ate here twice!
Thank you and we will be back next year!!!!!!!
Debbie and David
Wedding Anniversary lunch, very enjoyable.
The food, atmosphere, and service was wonderful! All of our food was so so good, we didn’t dislike any appetizer, entree, or sides. We had the goat cheese and blue crab bisque for appetizers and the Filet Minot salad, the macadamia crusted snapper as our entrees. Would go back & was worth the money spent!
We have never had a bad experience at Tommy Bahama’s. We go two-three times per year. (We live 8 hrs away).
Their key lime pie is the best!!
My fiance & I celebrated our engagement by having dinner here. The staff and management made our experience wonderful. At one point were surprised with champagne for our celebration by the manager on site. Thanks for the awesome experience and amazing food! It was perfect!
Excellent dining experience. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. The guitarist/ vocalist - creates a relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel like your truly on the most popular place in town. (Bravo) The red snapper with the macadamia nut crust is to die for- delicious. Thanks for a wondering evening. ❤️
We had an excellent dinner and even nicer waitress! The curry mussels appetizer was terrific!
Good service, friendly waitress. Food arrived promptly and was tasty.
Great food and service!
It was great as usual. They were able to accommodate us at the original reservation time even after changing the number of guests 3 times.
Gorgeous meal , great service. Up from Ohio for a few days and love Grande Boulevard. Went to emerils last time but enjoyed this more! Service was better and menu had more choice.
We ordered soup, one cup and one bowl. Two cups arrived! We ordered 2 glasses of Cabernet. It was so bad we had them take it back. We’ve eaten at this location multiple time to a fairly good results. This time not so much. Our server seemed completely confused and disoriented. She also referred to both men and and women as “dear” of which I took as condescending and rude. Needless to say on our next trips here we will forego TB’s😬
Cutting the service staff a break because of the employment environment around restaurant staff but the food was served differently than listed on menu requiring a comp. Dessert (cake) would have been wrecked by Paul Hollywood should it be presented on the GBBS. Key lime pie was great. Food is in decline since last visit (3 yr ago).
Service was slow. It was probably due to number of wait staff. The host was not very friendly.
The sevice was awful the waiter stopped waiting on us Bc of a bachelorette party. We asked another waiter for a dessert menu and never gave us one.Nor gave us our ticket
We were very very disgusted with the level service. When we complained they told us they had a bachelorette party. No excuse for the lack of service, we were in from Louisiana and came here for a good dinner turned into a nightmare. the fact the manager did nothing is very disheartening!!Will never go back!!
We ate outside. Pleasant atmosphere with good service and food.
It was our first and last time here. Decent food but experience was ruined by poor service. Waiter was inattentive, we had to ask the busboy for a water refill. When it was time for dessert, he asked if we knew what we wanted even though we never got a dessert menu. At the end of the night, he placed the receipt and CC on the table without saying a word. I guess he had something better to do.
Our waiter was fabulous.
Enjoyed the food and the service was excellent as we had a waitress that was familiar with us. All together it was a very pleasurable experience.
We had a pretty nice meal. I had shrimp and scallops and it was very good. Two of us had the fish tacos and they said it was very good. One of us had the amberjack and the sauce was way too salty. He should have sent it back, I’m sure they would have corrected it for him. I’d go back again.
Good coconut shrimp w/mango chutney. Good service!
Everything was delicious. Y is the waitress of the week. She was awesome!
We had an early dinner around 5:00. Our server was excellent. The food was delicious. The restaurant is vey nice. The only downside for us was that it is very loud. There was a singer in the bar. We were seated close by. The noise level in the bar area is very high. If we were to go there again, we would request to be seated as far from the bar as possible. This would not be something that would keep us from returning. It is a little on the expensive side, but we were okay with that since we were celebrating our anniversary. Definitely try the pina colada cake! Yum!
Happy hour was nice - great appetizers - great waitress
My husband and I were driving through and when we can we always stop for dinner. We lived in the Destin area for 20 years and have moved away now two years. Tommy Bahama was always one of our favorites. We love the macadamia nut crusted snapper and pina colada cake! It never disappoints!!
Great food and excellent cocktails service was friendly and not too intrusive
Kelsey, our server was excellent.
This is the first time I’ve had their Caesar salad with Filet added. I wasn’t thrilled with the sweet flavoring of the Filet. It ruined an otherwise tender steak. I expected a more flavorful salad but overall it was just dry romaine stalks with a few croutons and a sprinkling of cheese. I had hoped for more of a typical Caesar salad with some flavor and garlic. Definitely not a dinner salad I could recommend.
I’ve had other excellent meals there in the past and the other people in my party enjoyed their meals.
Food is always fresh and creative at Tommy Bahama. Love going there!
Great experience. Dinner w the family. Noise level was fine for us but prob not ideal for others near us bc of our 16 mo old. Lol. Door was delicious and we ordered a variety of apps, entrees wine and desserts. One of our faves when we’re down here. Service was fast and friendly.
I have been to Tommy Bahama in Sandestin many times on Labor Day weekend. I always take my sister and her and husband there as a tradition. The food has always been very good as is the service. The atmosphere is a little loud at times, but nothing compared to what happened on 09/07/21.
The table adjacent to me had a young child that was totally out of control. I have never been to a nice restaurant that let what was happening to continue.
The child was consistently shrieking at a shrill high enough to be on par with a dog whistle (this may be a little exaggerated) but it was loud. It was so loud it made you jump when she let out the next wave of banshee screeches.
The parents did nothing to get the situation under control except offering ice cream when we get home.
I should have asked for another table or leave. Quite frankly, I don’t know if moving would have made the evening enjoyable – she was that loud.
I did speak with the manager upon leaving. She gave me a weak response on how she tried to control the situation.
This is what should have happened – ask the group to control their child or leave and take the screech owl with them. Management is challenging, but good managers can make hard unpopular decisions—this was one of those problematic situations.
This is not a Tommy Bahama bash (the food and service were very good – I will be back next summer); it is a statement of how the management mishandled the situation.
We made a reservation for the Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend. We were seated promptly and at a booth away from the bar as requested. There were a few large tables near us that were unusually loud, making it hard to even hear our server or have a conversation. Once those tables were vacated, it was a much better experience. We had been seated near the bar on a previous dinner, and it was very noisy, so this time we requested to be away from the bar. Three of us ordered the macadamia nut crusted snapper, which was a huge portion and very good. All of us loved the almond rice. Our dining companion ordered the scallops and shrimp, which he loved. The food was very good, and once the noise level went down, it was a very good evening. We will, of course, be back.
