Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar - Mauna Lani, Big Island Ratings and Reviews
We wanted a nice dinner on our last night of our Honeymoon so decided on Tommy Bahamas. The evening was wonderful, it was nice to see a busy restaurant on a Wednesday evening and the food was amazing. I had the crab bisque and my husband had the salad which we both just about liked our dish! He was tired of beef so had the Parmesan Chicken and I had the Mahjong (sip) fish filet. Both were wonderful and we ate as much as we could. The bread was delicious but that butter was incredible. A lovely spicy honey butter that was just the perfect complement to the bread. Sorry, no room for dessert this time but they too looked amazing.
This was our first visit while visiting the big island. Wonderful! Although it was windy outside, we chose to sit out there to watch the sunset. Lucky us. The building blocked the wind and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner. The food, service and even the live music from inside that was piped in from the outside was great. Love this place and look forward to going back one day.
We found the life music pleasant but way to loud, it just culminated in a very noisy place. We have had better mojitos, not their stronghold! As appetizer wehad the ahi tacos, they wheregreat! As entree we had theSchrimp and Scallops Thai, they were also great! Overall good food, not so good cocktails and a bit to loud!
It was our last night in Hawaii and didn’t feel like going too far. The restaurant was very near our resort. Both of our dinners were probably the tastiest we had all week! Our pitcher of Sangria was so good! Our waiter was very patient and kind! If we come back to the Big Island we will definitely come back more than once!
Visiting the Big Island and looking for great food close to our resort. Menu looked great and the food and service did not disappoint. The shrimp spring rolls were excellent, my husband loved his porterhouse cut pork chop and the macadamia encrusted Mahi-mahi was delicious! Unfortunately too full to try dessert but they looked and sounded amazing. The coffee as a finisher was hot & strong just the way we like it. My husband’s dirty martinis to his taste and the lemon drop was perfectly tart ( the wine list looked good too).
I was on vacation for a short week and managed to have two dinners and one lunch at the restaurant. I always eat there when visiting and have never been disappointed. Staff, food, service all excellent. I can easily recommend Tommy Bahamas not only for their food but for the shopping downstairs as well. Great concept. Mahalo 😀🌴🍍
It was our fist dinning experience and It exceeded our expectations. Considering Tommy Bahama is know for its clothing you wouldn’t expect a nice dinning experience.
Dillon our waiter was engaging and well informed and thoroughly enjoyable. We would his restaurant and to make a reservation.
Roy's never disappoints. Friends have been keeping a running tally of food and drink on the Big Island and Roy's topped the list from Mai Tai's to entrees. Special fresh catch Mong Chong and Mahi were well prepared and actually were fresh. Savorys were exceptional and the soufflé was anticipated and perfect.
