We decided to eat at Tommy Bahama before our broadway show and came away very impressed. The food was reasonably priced except for the coconut shrimp. But everything was delicious, would definitely go again.
The service was quick and the food was flavorful. Great combination for a midtown NYC lunch spot.
The food here is suprisingly good. I had a beautiful piece of Mahi Mahi on a rick cake in a tasty broth. My companions also enjoyed their tacos and faro/veggies. Our server was delightful - attentive, polite and on-the-ball. I really like this place and it is ideally located just a few blocks north of Bryant Park and West of Grand Central to make it a great Central meeting spot for folks from all over town.
Great, but they sat us next to the bathroom and could not move us. That detracted from the experience.
A rare Midtown meeting / eating and drinking place that is business appropriate and still affordably priced for personal get-togethers as well. Live singer midweek nights adds to energy, without being too loud. Tuna tacos are good, dessert selection is amazing.
The runner was a bit less than interested in getting the plates right but nice overall.
We love going to the New York restaurant! Love the atmosphere. Live music was wonderful felt like I needed to be in Key West enjoying the fun in the sun! The food is wonderful....overall it's a YES we enjoy your restaurant and then we can shop!
This is my go-to spot for client and personal meetings - completely reliable and high quality. Cheerful, sun lit atmosphere. Also highly recommend the two bars.
Food was very good! I wished the lunch menu had little more variation especially the entree selection. Overall I enjoyed going there for lunch, good place for a business lunch.
One of the meals had too much
sodium. Health conscious diners would prefer to add their own salt.
Service was very good. Front of house service members, were very
Good place to take a client for lunch. Great lighting and atmosphere.
Diverse menu choice and a moderate price point, for a restaurant in the heart of New York City.
I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times in the past and had great experiences. It almost appears as if the restaurant is not doing as well, or it could just be very slow because of the time of year, but being that it was my boyfriend’s first time there and I was raving about it, we had a lackluster time. The menu looks like it cut back on a number of items from past visits. I also included on our OpenTable reservation details that we were celebrating his 30th birthday and there was no mention of that at all from anyone. Finally, his tuna entree came with roughly 6 small squares of tuna and veggies, no other sides... seemed like a small plate based on the price. Serves and bartender were all lovely, just wasn’t the great dining experiences I can remember having here in the past :(
Really nice atmosphere, excellent food and good service. Live music gave our dinner a now touch. Can really recommend!
Good food, loved the pulled pork sandwich
Definitely a must visit. The desserts are do wonderful. Menu is different.
Everything is exquisite. The restroom in the bar area needs to be fixed up nicely. The restaurant rest room is ok.
Awesome place. I cannot believe I never knew about this place until now. I felt like I was on vacation the moment I walked in. Cool Caribbean tropical vibe. The food was fantastic too. I love it and will be back. I’ve akready recommended it to my friends and family.
Service was insanely slow.
Different atmosphere and good salads. Lively crowds. enthusiastic staff
love tommy...the food..the shopping
service always good
Always consistent with service and food. Excellent
Food and service excellent!
The food was as ordered and very good, but the service was only "OK". While we were there early for dinner due to theatre tickets, as a result there did not appear to be much competition for our waiters' attention yet we still saw him only twice. When we were seated no one came at all for some time. When he did come to the table we ordered everything, including drinks. Our food was then served by another who brought our side-dishes with our appetizers. When we saw our waiter again he had our check. Overall small complaints as we achieved our goal of a nice meal in plenty of time before the show at a place between Grand Central & Broadway.
Delicious food and a fun atmosphere. Happy hour always has live music
We enjoyed a delicious meal. All three of us had ahi tuna in 3 different ways. It was fresh and perfect.
It took fifteen to twenty minutes to be seated for whatever reason, but everything else about the experience was great.
Delicious food. Good menu choices.
Had a great New Years dinner with my family!!!
The service is really top notch! The live music and the seatings having the most beautiful view of 5th Avenue is really a privilege at Tommy Bahama’s! I’m a returning costumer and the menu hasn’t changed much and that is great but I like new options; they have a consistent good strong menu! I love the attention to service but not crowding the costumer! Just a great NYC place to stop for lunch, dinner or drinks at the bar downstairs with delicious cocktails and amazingly appetizers!
Entertaining family from the Czech Republic. Excellent choice of entrees and nice atmosphere.
AAA experience every time. Excellent for lunch with a friend. Airy ambience with plenty of light.
Recently I´ve been in New York for Christmas holidays. We went there for New year´s eve dinner and it was our first restaurant in New York. We really enjoyed the experience and was the best meal we had in the city for the 5 days we stayed there.
I recommend it to everyone.
I reserved a table for New Year's Eve last minute and was very pleased. The service was great, we liked that there was live music, just wished it was a happier genre for the occasion the musician was playing 90's grunge depressing music. The drinks were also very good and my filet mignon was perfect.
Food was amazing! We had reservations on Monday and loved it so much we ended up coming back on Tuesday. Servers were very nice and accommodating with a food allergy. Wish you guys had a location in Nashville!!! We would be there all the time!!
Great vibes and atmosphere. Friendly staff and fast service. Food was delicious and drinks were well made.
We enjoyed very much. Went for a family dinner before a show.
The filet mignon salad was outstanding! It was a recommendation from our waitress. My husband has risotto with scallops and was also very pleased. It was a very nice experience.
Best meal we had during our trip to NYC. Save room for dessert!
Normally I enjoy this restaurant. It has a nice menu and normally good service.
However we ate there on a Sunday about 12 noon before going to a theater matinee. The outside sign said “breakfast is served”, however once seated we found there is no breakfast menu on weekends.
Even though the restaurant was quite empty, the service was slow and inattentive.
When our meal arrived my soup was already cold. When I asked for it to be reheated it took another 15 minutes and was barely any warmer. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for a Sunday lunch. Normally during the week it is a nice mid town option.
Waited a long time for entrees. When served it was cold. We sent it back only to receive hot food but this time it was way too salty and I like salt. Not worth the time with so many other fine restaurants in NYC
We just went for appetizers and they were excellent! What a lovely surprise in the food deadzone of Times Square!
