Excellent - experience. Loved they brought the dessert.
Waiter was very slow. There were only 10 tables at the time we were there. There were also at least three other wait staff. Waiter spent a lot of time chatting with people in the kitchen, the hostess and people at other tables. Forgot to bring us bread. We asked again and it took over 15 minutes for it to arrive. We were finished with our apps by the time he brought it. Food was unremarkable for the most part. Coffee rubbed steak was bland. The cauliflower steak was also bland, no seasoning. The salad with it barely had any dressing, most likely none. The pineapple creme brulee was ok, most restaurants cannot make a good creme brulee. The make it cheaply and it shows. The pina colada cake was also made by someone who was either lazy or skimping. There was literally one small chunk of pineapple. If you look at a picture of the cake it has a layer of pineapple on top of each layer of white chocolate mousse. On the brighter side, the Mahi mahi special was good, the cauliflower soup and crab cake appetizer was very good. The habanero margarita was also good. Music was good. This restaurant needs a manager that oversees the staff in the front of the house as well as the back of the house. One expects to have a better meal for the money and expectations of a Tommy Bahama restaurant, especially in NYC.
Our Food, waiter and the ambiance was very nice!!!! Love the coconut cloud cocktail.
This is always my go to restaurant. It is beautiful and you feel like you are on vacation instead of being in the middle of the city. The food is delicious and the staff is attentive, funny and professional. From the time you enter the restaurant to the time you leave you will have a fantastic experience for sure.
Consistent and good.
Delicious casual lunch. And seating is comfortable. Setting is great and service is friendly. My new go-to when I lunch near grand central!!
Food was great. Service terrific. Music was very enjoyable. The fact that we happened to book during “Friends and Family” and received a discount on the food was an extra bonus. But it would have been worth it a full price. Loved the flatbread!! And everything!!
We were surprised to discover a really important restaurant inside and above a clothing store!
What a great evening at Tommy Bahama! Warm, inviting ambiance with amazing food! I got the crab bisque and black fish tacos. Both were out of this world and cooked to perfection! This was my 2nd time and everything on their menu is superb. A must dining experience!!
Good food, close tables, busy!
Have been many times. Food always great. However the last 4/5 times the service downstairs is very off.
Celebrating my mom's birthday. Such a great time !
Come here often, great food and service. Makes you feel like you are in the Islands. Nice get away!
Consistently good food, friendly staff
I have recommended it. Everything was great and server did a good job if helping us meet our theater time.
Great food and the service was spectacular (the waitress was very kind).
I have to say that this is a very cool place with very creative drinks and food choices. Very well made with professional service. A NYC must go to.
The restaurant is a few blocks from my office so I have been there a few times for business lunches but truth be told I have suggested that friends meet me there 3 or 4 times as well. The menu has something for everyone and the dishes are well prepared. Last Saturday my wife and I went to a matinee and decided to avoid restaurant row or Times Square and had a wonderful dinner at Tommy Bahama’s. My wife had the scallops with risotto and I had the PARMESAN CRUSTED SANIBEL CHICKEN. Both dishes were delicious The service was excellent and a guitar player with a nice playlist kept us entertained through our desert of Key lime pie.
Great Food and service
Great lunch spot. Good for a business lunch that is out of the ordinary. A bit noisy. Food has been great each time
Unique venue offering live music in an ambiance that still allows conversation. Appropriate for business. Great guacamole!
Having been there before and having had a pleasant experience, I was looking forward to returning. The restaurant is pretty, the people are nice and the service was good. The food quality had slipped considerably since my last visit. The steak was fatty and greasy and the fries were lukewarm. The music is so loud we had trouble hearing each other at the table. The non-steak eaters' food was just fair. Not a great experience.
Nice setting, total bill was pricey even for New York City, my wife really enjoyed the scallops, my sliced NY strip steak was just ok, dessert and specialty drinks were very good.
Went to Tommy Bahama pre-theater on a Saturday night because a friend highly recommended it. A guitarist was playing music when we walked in and we were greeted kindly by the hostess and server. Drinks were tropical, food was delicious especially the fish tacos and coconut shrimp. We will look forward to coming back as it felt like a tropical escape from New York. Loved the spiral staircase, plants & live music that continued throughout our meal.
A truly great find in Midtown. AMAZING dessert selection. Consistently quality service. Best coconut shrimp north of the Keys. Live music is a nice touch, and not too loud. works well for pre- or post theater.
Amazing night out with the girl friends. Awesome food, drink and service. Small complaint it was chilly in the restaurant other then that we loved it.
Excellent, and the live music was fans!
Love the restaurant. Felt like we were on vacation. Great vibe.
We love the food! The service is terrible. We actually called over the manager this time. It never changes there. Have to allow extra time before theater or you’ll never make it!
Food was very good. The wait staff was outstanding!
The octopus and halibut specials were on point.
Really like the place, cozy, lots of space, they even have live band which was a surprise to us
I'm comparing to Tommy Bahamas in Orlando and Las Vegas, as that is where I usually go and hence I expected the same experience. But this was overall 25% below that in both food, drinks and service. It's still fine but just not as good. e.i a pina colada are usually topped up with dark rum but not here. The tuna pokes are normally with som soy sauce but here they are too unsaltet. The creme Brulee is not caramelized as much as it should and a bit grainy texture and so on. It leaves an impression that they are too busy to go the last mile.
Delightful romantic Valentine’s evening. Everything was well done.
We did a pre theatre dinner an even though my friend was running late we we're still able to have a lisurely dinner and still make the theatre. Food was delicious. Will be back
TB Park Ave is our go to Sunday lunch spot. We go 5 to 6 times a year. This time was a bit disappointing. The restaurant allowed a bridal party of some sort to have a cocktail party before lunch out in the aisles near us. Table service was not responsive (and the restaurant was quite empty. Food arrived late. Of course it was good which is why we come here. Check appearance was glacial. Not TBs best performance.
I have eaten at Tommy Bahama at least ten times and every time it’s amazing. The food is great and the drinks strong and delicious. It’s our go to place for a fun time.
We really enjoy our visits here! The food is always delicious and the staff is always wonderful. We look forward to coming back!
