The venue space is bright and airy. We felt as though we had escaped to Key West. The steel drum musician was an added bonus.
Food was great, server friendly and responsive. Will go here again for sure.
Service was very slow despite the restaurant being almost empty at 5:30. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes before drink orders were taken. We watched a group of waitstaff stand in the middle of the dining room, talking loudly and carrying on with each other while we were ignored. This is not my first time at Tommy Bahama, I enjoy the restaurant and the food is always great. Hopefully the poor service was a one-off issue.
List but lovely
Love this restaurant - great food always - and, while lively, thankfully not too loud.
Fantastic dining experience. Definitely will repeat soon.
We love TB and brought our grand daughters before Aladdin! We had a great meal and they thought the desserts were heavenly! They said, “It feels like you are on a tropical island!”
Great place to eat before or after theatre. Close to Grand Central and Theater District. Great food and nice ambiance. Love happy hour.
A great wonderful meal. Delicious
Always a fan of coming here to get a drink with colleagues. Sometimes can be on the louder side but generally a great environment. There tends to be live music which makes for such a great experience! Thank you everyone at the Marlin bar!
Small but creative menu met for a late lunch. Noice level was pretty brutal but calmed down towards the end. Had the poke burger with arugula salad and it was excellent. Service was very good as well.
Love love love this place! It’s like a little vacation spot in the middle of Manhattan. The palm trees, the big tables, the space between tables, the servers, the food - it all combines to make me feel like I’ve taken a little trip to a Caribbean island for an hour or two. Can’t wait to go back.
Bad table, great food, so so server.
fantastic restaurant with great service and great atmosphere.
Took clients to Tommy Bahamas for lunch and they loved it! The restaurants decor makes you feel like your on vacation! The food was amazing as always (highly recommend the Tuna grain bowl and the king salmon grain bowl). The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. Really a great spot!
We had a lovely dinner on a moderately quiet Monday evening. Food came out quickly and the mahi mahi tacos and the russet fries were delicious. Service was great and very attentive.
Glad we went upstairs
Happy hour at the bar even on sat till 6
Live music started at 5:30
First time here & everything was perfect!
Good for a team lunch, although not if you're looking for high-end eats, given that all of the staff is in Hawaiian shirts.
Great location for my meeting with 2 people who were coming from the east side, as I was coming from the west side, so we met in the middle and had a lovely lunch in an atmosphere that allowed us to converse easily.
The server seems to be in a hurry and also in spite of telling that we are all vegetarians she got a salad with bacon.
Again and again we were asked if we are done and can they take the dishes in spite of seing that there was so much food still in the plates.
Also they said that the orange juice is freshly squeezed but clearly it was the boxed juices.
Great establishment for business meals
The staff is always great. Jennifer is my go to server. The manager is personable and hoes the extra mile to accommodate his guest’s needs. The food is exceptional everyone you hi of take out. The crab avocado salad is the best thing I have ever eaten. I am a regular customer entertaining clients 2-5 times a week. I’ve tried the entire menu and will order it all again. Dessert tray... watch out! You’re going to want everything. It’s just that good. Two desserts is a must for me!!!
Like taking a mini-vacation. Tropical drinks, great steak, and attentive service.
Decent lunch. But overpriced. Service was very good. Staff friendly. Would return.
The cocktails were delicious and the food delightful. Did not feel like you were in the middle of midtown, NY. A definite recommend and return.
Waitress was professional and friendly. Food was delicious, this was first time, looking forward to returning.
Great service , delicious salad
Food was excellent as always and service was pleasant and efficient. Cocktails were delicious too.
Tommy Bahamas is a perfect place for a date night. The night we went there was a live performer that we could have done without but it wasn't bothersome. The food was great, the server was friendly and thoughtful although it took her a little while to take our order. The ambiance was lovely. It was romantic but the lighting was still nice and it's appropriate for a friends night out or dinner with family as well. Overall, I would visit again and recommend!
Live music for Valentine’s Day was amazing. Great service and food! Definitely going back.
Wonderful atmosphere. Good quality food. Great service as well. Really enjoyed the experience.e
It was a great experience
Excellent dining. We have been here a few times and never been disappointed. Brunch and dinner, both are excellent. Love the decor and the good food. Service was great, wait staff were very cordial and friendly.
Whenever I eat here, I feel like I’m on vacation. It seems quite removed from the hustle and bustle of midtown Manhattan. The food is scrumptious! And the ambience positive. You can definitely have a private conversation here and also get together with a rowdy group of friends. I can’t wait to go back.
I always order the Chicken dish with potato/cauliflower mash and red petter suaveness. Love it and recommend it. But had to send it back because it was so salt. Friend also ordered same dish and agreed it was very salty but she likes salt.
Kitchen accommodated very quickly and replaced my dish. Fantastic ! And i was very grateful. That’s my favorite dish and I always order it. Try it!
Had a business lunch, good food & service but very busy. I would go back again.
The food was good ambiance as well. Problem was service. Had to remind the waitress about our appetizers when she finally bought them our entrees came a few minutes later didn’t even have a chance to start on the appetizer. It felt like I had to constantly remind the waitress we were there. Not the first time this has happened with this waitress and others.
Not on a Sunday night. Restaurant was short staffed for number of customers.
Had lunch with old friends. Service as great and they let us linger as we had not seen each other in awhile. Salads and Burgers were great. Very good casual option for lunch in Manhattan.
Go back every few months and always have a great meal! Especially good on Saturday’s too when Aaron Short is playing live music.
