Food was very good. The wait staff was outstanding!
The octopus and halibut specials were on point.
Really like the place, cozy, lots of space, they even have live band which was a surprise to us
We did a pre theatre dinner an even though my friend was running late we we're still able to have a lisurely dinner and still make the theatre. Food was delicious. Will be back
TB Park Ave is our go to Sunday lunch spot. We go 5 to 6 times a year. This time was a bit disappointing. The restaurant allowed a bridal party of some sort to have a cocktail party before lunch out in the aisles near us. Table service was not responsive (and the restaurant was quite empty. Food arrived late. Of course it was good which is why we come here. Check appearance was glacial. Not TBs best performance.
I have eaten at Tommy Bahama at least ten times and every time it’s amazing. The food is great and the drinks strong and delicious. It’s our go to place for a fun time.
We really enjoy our visits here! The food is always delicious and the staff is always wonderful. We look forward to coming back!
We met for a nice meal to discuss fashion week. We had a wonderful time. Thank you
Some friends and I attended Tommy Bahama's for resturant week and we were not disappointed. The food was good and the everyone was nice and friendly.
Great find in Midtown. They have a unique drink menu and a great appetizer list. It’s a fun place to go
I absolutely LOVE Tommy Bahama...A visit there takes me to the likes of Southern Tropical charm.
The drinks are always on point, the food is marvelous, and the atmosphere is always happy!
Very pleasant atmosphere. The server and food was great! Good for an intimate dinner or dinner with friends.
It feels like you on vacation somewhere. Perfect getaway place especially when Its cold outside.
I like the atmosphere, live music and cocktails. Service was amazing. Will definitely come back again
Love the comfortable island vibe and service is always so pleasant. We frequent often for lunch but this was our 1st time for dinner— it was very good! We’ll definitely be back!
Our celebratory luncheon was lively and fun in this getaway restaurant that transports you to the Caribbean. The food was fresh, colorful and flavorful. Our server was warm, friendly and helpful. It was a welcome reprieve from the 10 degree winter outside. Highly recommend!
I take advantage of the restaurant week 2019. The menu offered reflected the standard offer of the restaurant which is California themed.
The ambient was nice, noisy level was ok, service was quick and good. I would go back to taste other dishes.
We were disappointed in the speed of service on the coldest day of the year. The dishes we enjoy were short of their usual tastiness. The atmosphere was delightful
The environment at Tommy Bahama is fun. The service was excellent and the food was tasty.
Nice place for a business lunch. The food is good and the menu interesting. The prices are not bad for Midtown and the decor is nice.
A very nice, quiet spot (after 8) in the middle of hectic Fifth Avenue. I heard that Tommy Bahama was good and finally tried it out. I enjoyed the drinks- I had a mango mojito. The food was plentiful and delicious. I would definitely come back. The service was excellent.
Very good food and professional attentive service.
Very slow service.
nice selection of cocktails that emphasize the tropics/Caribbean. Food was well preared with an emphasis on fish. Live music was a plus.
The ambiance and food was very good but if you are looking for a laid back island time experience forget it because the service will infuriate you.
Got there for an early dinner to avoid the Saturday night crowd. Just a few tables were empty - this is a popular place! The service took so long. The Caesar salad was pretty good. The grilled ribs are very spicy (described as sweet & spicy) so if you are not into spicy food, skip it. The ribeye was good but by the time it got to us, the steak was no longer hot. The sea scallops (risotto) were a tad salty. The butterscotch pudding was excellent. The malted chocolate pie was superb - very rich too so this is a dessert you should share.
My family liked Tommy Bahama but it is not a place we would have a "regular" eat out place.
Tommy Bahama, once again, ,did NOT disappoint. We started with happy hour, downstairs. We enjoyed classic margaritas and appreciated the happy hour extended hour. If you arrive before 6:00 pm, the happy hour is extended until 7:00 pm.
After our happy hour, we headed upstairs, for our Restaurant Week dinner. Every course was delicious and perfectly presented. The service was impeccable, the decor was tropical, and the restaurant was packed with satisfied customers.
I highly recommended this restaurant, we look forward to future visits, and you will think of this review, as you are enjoying one of the best dining experiences in NYC.
Birthday for Grandma
Always a good meal. Restaurant week specials were good and worthy of the price.
Delicious as ever. Quite noisy so not the place to go for a lot of intimate conversation. Pineapple Martini is yummy. Recommend the plantains with the pina colada dipping sauce; coconut shrimp and mango chicken salad!
Love this place! So consistent, food is excellent, relaxed atmosphere and super well run.
I really enjoyed the food - I had the cod cake appetizer and the shrimp bowl main from the Restaurant Week menu. The cod cake was a bit too salty, but the consistency and flavoring was great, almost like mashed potatoes. The shrimp bowl was awesome - the dressing was delicious and fresh. However, the service was very slow. I was part of a party of 3, and they were super slow to even provide us with water in the beginning, and once apps were done and the dishes taken away, we waited for at least 20 min before the mains were brought out.
We decided to eat at Tommy Bahama before our broadway show and came away very impressed. The food was reasonably priced except for the coconut shrimp. But everything was delicious, would definitely go again.
The service was quick and the food was flavorful. Great combination for a midtown NYC lunch spot.
Would go there again and definitely I've recommended the place already.
The food here is suprisingly good. I had a beautiful piece of Mahi Mahi on a rick cake in a tasty broth. My companions also enjoyed their tacos and faro/veggies. Our server was delightful - attentive, polite and on-the-ball. I really like this place and it is ideally located just a few blocks north of Bryant Park and West of Grand Central to make it a great Central meeting spot for folks from all over town.
Great, but they sat us next to the bathroom and could not move us. That detracted from the experience.
A rare Midtown meeting / eating and drinking place that is business appropriate and still affordably priced for personal get-togethers as well. Live singer midweek nights adds to energy, without being too loud. Tuna tacos are good, dessert selection is amazing.
The runner was a bit less than interested in getting the plates right but nice overall.
We love going to the New York restaurant! Love the atmosphere. Live music was wonderful felt like I needed to be in Key West enjoying the fun in the sun! The food is wonderful....overall it's a YES we enjoy your restaurant and then we can shop!
