Tommy Bahama - New York

A note to Open Table. I find when booking through Open Table the least desirable table always seems to be reserved compared to calling the restaurant directly. From my experience, this seems to be SOP (standard operating procedure) which you may want to address. Open Table is such an amazing way to book but seating has been an issue.
Tommy Bahamas makes you feel like your on a tropical vacation!!! The drinks and food are delicious and the service is amazing!! I highly recommend going with a large group! Everything in the menu is great! My favorites are the scallop sliders and coconut shrimp to start and the coconut cloud martini!!! The crab salad, salmon or tuna bowls and the fish tacos are all must haves! We will be back!!
Overall good experience
Tommy bahama is our place for lunch every time we are in NYC. Food, drinks and especially the service, can`t be beat.
We have been there many times and we will definitely be back. I shop in the store and then we go to dinner. I love that have have someone singing while you dine. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The food is good. One of our favorites is the steak flatbread. I had the chicken, farro & vegetable dish and I enjoyed it very much. My husband had the scallops & he said they were good. Our server was very nice and helpful. She has helped me numerous times with the Tommy Bahama rewards app.
Even though they were aware it was my birthday, there was no special acknowledgment. I am a very frequent guest
The food was tasty, The service was only okay... With so many places to choose from, Not sure that it was worth the price.
As always great service, delicious food and value for money. One of my favorite restaurants in New York. Must eat place for every tourist visiting the big apple
i have visited several locations around the country. They all are consistently great.
Took my out of town family and it was the perfect location. Tons of options and great cocktails and live music
I always love having a business lunch here. It's the right mix of casual and business, nice buzz but not too assuming, good food, nice room.
We were a group of 6 women celebrating a special birthday and we all loved the food, ambiance, music and Jocelyn our server!
Food was a little under cooked (chicken) and the fries were cold
My favorite lunch midtown restaurant spot, perfect for business or friends. Food is consistently terrific, great alternative to any steakhouse or stale pub experience. David Pogrebin handles the front of the house experience with aplomb, the service staff is a pleasure and atmosphere is light and inviting.
Good food, nice room, nice ambience, great for lunch or brunch
The place is beautiful and the food was delicious. We lingered and no one hassled us. It was great.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Was very accommodating to my 3 children. Would definitely eat there again!!
My visit was amazing as always. Food and service were excellent. Still my go-to lunch spot.
This place is just fantastic. Always consistent. Love it.
This is a hidden gem, who knew that a clothing brand could make this amazing food! We love the atmosphere and the food together with excellent service! The mahi-mahi was our favorite, they can really do seafood and my husband think their burger is one of the best. Don’t miss out on their dessert tray either, it’s wow! The chocolate dessert wow!
I was served the wrong meal but i decided to keep it and it was delicious.
Always great food at Tommy. Fresh seafood. This is my go to spot but I realized you have to pull teeth to get water refilled!
Great meal and service by Lauren !
Did not know this restaurant existed until it came up as a midtown choice on Open Table. Was delightfully surprised by the entire experience—food, ambiance, service. Only complaint is that our server gave each of us the wrong leftover bag. However, that being said, my friend’s leftover ahi salad lunch made a delicious lunch for me the next day as my fish taco leftovers made a nice dinner for her.
They were a little slow with food delivery and stepped up to give us gift certificates
Grata sorpresa, la comida deliciosa!
Service was poor and restaurant was not particularly busy. 25 minutes to be a beer and 25 minutes to be told that the wine we ordered was not available. This was as our food go got cold.
Told manager who was apologetic and compensated for drinks. First bad experience there but would never go back again.
I’ve never had a bad meal here. Service and food very exceptional!!
Staff could not have been more accommodating.
Great food and nice ambience.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. Went after a Broadway show and had the last reservation for the evening. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was enjoyed by all four of us. We wound up being the last diners, yet there was no rush to get us out, Would go again and recommend to friends.
I always recommend TB to our friends. It never fails, and we love the ambience and food. Keep up the good work!
The drinks were weak, they didn't tell us that we had the option on enjoying happy hour only at the bar until we were seated.
The service wasn't the greatest, the waiter didn't not come back to check on us to see if all was okay until we called to get his attention.
The meal had no flavor, had to ask for hot sauce to spicy on my order, which was tacos, which should have had seasoning.
On this particular visit, the meal was delayed coming to the table and what should have been hot/warm was tepid/room temperature. Never saw the server again except to eventually flag down for the check.
Love this place. Service and food always great.
Excellent - experience. Loved they brought the dessert.
Waiter was very slow. There were only 10 tables at the time we were there. There were also at least three other wait staff. Waiter spent a lot of time chatting with people in the kitchen, the hostess and people at other tables. Forgot to bring us bread. We asked again and it took over 15 minutes for it to arrive. We were finished with our apps by the time he brought it. Food was unremarkable for the most part. Coffee rubbed steak was bland. The cauliflower steak was also bland, no seasoning. The salad with it barely had any dressing, most likely none. The pineapple creme brulee was ok, most restaurants cannot make a good creme brulee. The make it cheaply and it shows. The pina colada cake was also made by someone who was either lazy or skimping. There was literally one small chunk of pineapple. If you look at a picture of the cake it has a layer of pineapple on top of each layer of white chocolate mousse. On the brighter side, the Mahi mahi special was good, the cauliflower soup and crab cake appetizer was very good. The habanero margarita was also good. Music was good. This restaurant needs a manager that oversees the staff in the front of the house as well as the back of the house. One expects to have a better meal for the money and expectations of a Tommy Bahama restaurant, especially in NYC.
Our Food, waiter and the ambiance was very nice!!!! Love the coconut cloud cocktail.
This is always my go to restaurant. It is beautiful and you feel like you are on vacation instead of being in the middle of the city. The food is delicious and the staff is attentive, funny and professional. From the time you enter the restaurant to the time you leave you will have a fantastic experience for sure.
