Tommy Bahama's exceded any expectation. First, the atmosphere is just what it is meant to be, laid back, bright, inviting, modern, comfortable, clean, uncluttered. It is just really very nice and inviting. The service as just right. We were carrying on a bit of a business discussion and asked that we just take our time. The staff would check on us, but never made us feel rushed. The food was delicious. It was cooked perfect, it tasted great. The menu is not elaborate but it certainly reflects some of the tastes and flavors that would be expected for an "island" type venue. I would highly recommend this as a great place for lunch. It will not disappoint.
Food is good but once sever took our order, we didn’t see him again until we received our bill.
Starters and main courses were excellent, well cooked, seasoned and tasty.
Desserts were far too sweet for our taste, the mousse reminding me of butterscotch Angel Delight!
Jeff our server was still learning the ropes but was sweet and kind.
Nice Location but average Food.
Caesar Salad came with 3 Croutons only
TB's 2nd Floor restaurant continues to be a hidden gem in midtown. Diverse "Island-Themed" menu, fun drinks, casual Veranda decor, and an array of exceptional desserts. Live music most nights (at levels that don't intrude on conversation). Entrees aside, outstanding dishes are Coconut Shrimp, Guacamole, and Pina Colada Cake.
Location molto bella, cibo buono e personale cordiale! Ottimi gli antipasti ed anche la portata principale!
We have been to this several times prior and both the food and service has been very good. During this last visit the service was slow and somewhat sullen. The person who seated us was not welcoming. The food was good but not as delicious as it has been on previous visits, this was especially true of the appetizers and dessert.
Aniversary dinner before theatre- Tommy Bahama is our happy restaurant! The food is fresh, the service is good, and the vibe is lively! It never fails!
I brought some coworkers here for restaurant week (lunch) and it was great. I have been here three times now and I'll be back... there are so many great dishes to try. It's a bit of the tropics in NYC. Everything was great.
Very nice service, atmosphere
I would recommend to anyone food is great, whether if it’s after work or a special occasion. I’d highly recommend it
Not enough choice & expensive.
My experience at this restaurant was beyond extravagant. I would highly recommend going there on a date, birthday or simply dinner with a friend. The food, service and overall atmosphere was of great quality.
My wife and I have an exceptional dining experience every time we are here. Excellent food, superb service, and a great location.
Another five star dining experience !
My friends and I dined here in June, July and now August. Tommy Bahama is our go-to restaurant usually to celebrate birthdays. But last night we got together to have dinner before seeing Barry Manilow on Broadway.
We have our choice of many restaurants but we always choose Tommy Bahama for the ambiance, excellent service and delicious food.
We will be back soon for our next celebration!
Say hi to Travis for us! Excellent manager!
Fresh food served in a friendly and professional manner. Crab and filet mignon salads we're fresh, ample and delightfully dressed. Key lime pie, pastry crust and lime zest on the whipped cream was a terrific dessert in terms of texture and flavor. All topped of with a great cup of coffee. In walking distance to the theatre district.
Dining at Tommy Bahama is always good. The food is great. I love dining on the small plates to sample different dishes. It can be a bit noisy but not overwhelming. I highly recommend it.
Great food, excellent service, a touch loud even in a quiet corner.
A consistently great place for midtown lunch, priced where it is affordable at the personal or corporate level. Diverse menu. Amazing desserts.
Its fun good appetizers and great cocktails
Lively bar downstairs and comfortable seating where you can hear yourself
A little bit of the tropics in NYC. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Its a great option when you want a quality meal at a full service restaurant but don't want to spend crazy Manhattan prices. I am comfortable going with friends or for a casual business meal.
Had special requests due to allergies and waiter listened and brought food as ordered
Was very good. A tropical break from mid town manhattan
I'm a very big fan of this establishment. I originally went for drinks with work colleagues (hint - when meeting friends at the bar, be specific if its the Marlin bar downstairs or the bar in the restaurant- yes it took me a bit to figure it out). The bar area was fun to hang out in. I thought the service was friendly, and the light and airy decor had a fun Florida feel. I went back for dinner and was amazed with the food. It was both deliciously prepare, and artfully presented. Most recently I went for lunch, and again, was delighted by the ambiance service and food. I had the most amazing lump blue crab and avocado salad, and was happily surprised with the generous portion. I will most certainly be dining and sipping happy hour drinks with Tommy again. Very much recommend.
We had s great experience at Tommy Bahama! From the shopping downstairs with a margarita in hand to the fantastic food and service upstairs. Amazing food at great prices! Did I mention the margaritas?
Our experience at Tommy Bahama was outstanding. The food, ambience, staff and location was exceptional! Would highly recommend this restaurant. It is truly a hidden gem in NYC!
Everything was delicious! Highly recommend the coconut shrimp & ahi tuna tacos as appetizers. Seared Tuna & the Roasted Vegetables with Shrimp for an entree were also very good. We also ordered a side of plaintains - OMG they were amazing & the dipping sauce was ridiculous!! With the coconut dipping sauce, it was like dessert. We enjoyed everything and will definitely go back
Went for restaurant week luncheon. Had to wait 15 minutes because of crowds at that time. Food and drinks were great but combination of noise level and table length for two, it was hard to talk and be heard. Told it is quieter on weekends in summer.
Menu needs to be updated with some new items. Ribs were over seasoned.
They were sold out of two items we wanted.
We ordered from the restaurant week menu and the food was amazing, everything from starter, main and dessert. The cocktails were also very nice. Love the service, the live music and the overall service. It was a bit noisy in the beginning when there was a big group of customers standing nearby and it was difficult for conversation. Other than that, it was a perfect experience.
Food is very good. Noise level is quite high. Service a little slow. Staff friendly.
Overalls it was a great experience
Had breakfast with my friend and the food and drinks were super delicious. Definitely will come back!
Amazing drinks! The food is good too, but I wish they had the bowls for dinner and not just for lunch.
Service was slow considering we were only 1 of 5 or 6 parties in the restaurant since it was within an hour of closing time. The food was great though!
They were clearly understaffed the night we were there and that made it painful. Too many other choices in NYC to have wasted a night here.
This is a hidden gem. Nice nautical Caribbean feel to the room, excellent food, warm friendly service, live music, good value.
A highlight of our trip! We enjoyed happy hour at the bar upstairs after having fun shopping downstairs. The prices for cocktails and small plates we're very pleasing and the food was surprisingly good. We would definitely return.
David and his front of the house team are terrific and the kitchen never fails with consistently fine cuisine!
