Tomato Grill Ratings and Reviews
I ordered eggplant at $18. The slices were so thinly cut you could see thru them and they were the size of a cucumber slice. Maybe there was a quarter of a tomato and a slice of cheese. Very disappointing. Service was slow and it was very noisy even though there weren’t too many customers. I will think twice about going back.
The restaurant was very busy service was a bit slow the chef burned my wife’s meal herb crusted chicken in marsala sauce and the sauce was black and you couldn’t tell the chicken from a mushroom we’ve eaten there quite a bit this was quite frankly the worst meal we’ve ever had their very surprised
I have eaten at multiple restaurants owned by this company and found them enjoyable and found the food to be good. My recent visit was horrific if I wanted chicken fingers which were $19.00 and came with no sides I could of gone to McDonald’s and fed my kids for the same price. The Tomato Grill should be embarrassed to serve this type of meal. I have eaten at this restaurant group for the last time
As always, Tomato Grille serves wonderful, at times creative, Italianesque food. Friendly service as always. The proximity of the tables in an already small space can make things a bit noisy, but knowing that, you plan for the type of occasion. And on this visit, the gluten-free hazelnut torte was incredible, and we don't even need to be concerned about gluten. It just looked and sounded great and it was.
This was a disappointing dining experience for my family. My son-in-law ordered a pizza dish and was served a pasta dish. When we pointed out the discrepancy there was barely an apology and no offer to exchange the dish. Additionally, both my daughters' meals were subpar.
When the bill was delivered there was an 18% gratuity included for a table of 5 without any offer of a discount due to the incorrect meal being served.
Service was very good. Lasagna and sausage were excellent. Homemade Ravioli was a bit rubbery. It may have been that we were there near the end of closing at 3 pm on Sunday. Overall nice ambiance, everyone is friendly, very clean and can carry on a conversation, low noise level. Would definitely return to try other dishes. Especially the seasonal soups looked delicious.
Tomato Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. We love it for lunch and dinner. The food is exquisite, unique, perfectly prepared and delicious. You can watch a game on the TV in the bar, eat dinner, appetizers or just enjoy a glass of wine. The ambiance is wonderful and the service is the best. I would recommend Tomato Grill most highly.
We always enjoy dining at the Tomato Grille. This time, though, my husband had food on his fork as he pulled it out of the napkin before even eating. Attention to detail make a difference. My friend and I were a little chilly and we both wore long sleeves.
WE would return again sometime in the future.
Thi is our second trip here and we will keep coming back for the great Italian food and wonderful service. Very nice aesthetics and we were seated right on time. Server was very attentive, brought us several wine tastes and very friendly.
A great experience overall
We've dined at Tomato Grill several times. The food has always been good. It was the first time ordering wine with dinner and was surprised to be served white wine in a red wine glass. Looking around the restaurant, everyone who was sipping white wine was doing so out of a red wine glass. Very odd. Tomato Grill should make a point of having white wine glasses for their white wine. Nonetheless, we will return to Tomato Grill for the food. We won't be ordering white wine there.
This was our second time there and we will go again. The Calamari app was really good. We have veal that was outstanding. The Lamb Chops were good but tough to cut into individual chops. Side of Risotto was very good. The waitress, who was very good, should have told us 1 would be enough to share. That is the only complaint.
We are new to the area and grabbed a reservation at the last second. We sat at the bar awaiting our table and we immediately felt comfortable. The bartender (female, forgot her name) was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. In fact, we were having such a good time that we decided to eat at the bar. Again, the bartender was spot on with her recommendations and we had a wonderful meal. It was such a friendly atmosphere that we ended up chatting with the other people at the bar and made our very first friends (even if just for the night) in Hudson. We can’t wait to go back. So nice to find a neighborhood gem in our new neighborhood!
Restaurant was quiet and not crowded. Likely because it was Sunday and place closed at 8pm. Server efficient but not particularly friendly. Thought we'd inconvenience d her because we arrived 1-1/2 hours before close. That said food was very good. Especially like the red sauce and also linguine w/shellfish.
The flavors in the food at Tomato Grill always keep me coming back! The sauces are amazing, and their eggplant parm is the best I've ever had -- highly recommend. Soups, salads, and apps are all delicious, especially the butternut squash soup. The menu is ala cart so it can feel a bit pricey, but the lunch menu is more affordable so I suggest trying it for lunch first. It can get pretty busy, and it's not a very large restaurant so a reservation is a good idea. Decor is warm and inviting, though it can get loud when it's a packed house.
