Deep fried saffron risotto, filled with mozzarella, pomodoro sauce
Carbonara filling, guanciale, zucchini
crispy fried RI calamari, hot pepper, pine nuts, arugula, garum aioli
Reliable spot for Italian fare and good libation. Love the Exhibit A they are now pouring on tap. Enjoyed meatballs and a couple of pizzas.
Great food, great service. Thank you all. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare.
I have been to Tomasso several times and the food is quite good. While some of the servers are amazing, the gentleman serving my party Saturday was less so. He was inattentive, seemed bothered by our (standard) needs, rarely checked in with us, and our food was quite long in coming (though the host who is always nice did apologize for that).
Disappointed in the evening and it will make me reluctant to return, as we previously had a lackluster experience with another server as well. One visit though, we had a wonderful server who really made the evening great.
Great service and great food again and again
Very good meal and good service 😊
Food was outstanding. Their steaks are prepared to you liking. The flavor was spectacular. Arancini's are to die for, and the fried goat cheese will melt in your mouth. Amanda, the bartender was outstanding. Thank you all.
Good food, service was excellent. We would go back.
Enjoyed the new menu choices, especially the options for a large or a small portion.
Slow service and food was overcooked (burned one diah entirely)
Disappointing. I’ve known Tomasso for years, and although I have eaten there a few times a year, this was not an experience that was pleasant. My pizza was burned underneath, we had a cracked glass at the table, and service was slow. The staff was friendly, and pleasant, and my pizza was remade, but for a midweek meal it was disappointing.
Food and service we're excellent as always. If you haven't tried one of their pizzas, I highly recommend you do. Thank you all for a great dining experience.
Had 9pm Valentine’s Day reservation. No idea it was only prefix- not on Open Table or website. Went to order and they were out of 2 of the 4 main courses. 2nd course dropped right on top of first course - we had barely started the antipasti. They scrounged up one Prime Rib, but it was tough & chewy (prob why the 86ed it). server dropped the wrong check at the end of dinner - had to explain when she brought the right check. As we were walking out, all the staff was sitting at the bar having shifts drinks & ignored us. Yet we spent over $200 on a very mediocre dinner. Wow. I work in this industry. Not returning.
Valentine’s Pre-Fixe not advertised, specifically went for a specific menu item not on that menu
Wonderful Valentines dinner. Everything from the service to the food was outstanding.
The food was tasteless and for $75/person, my wife and I were extremely dissatisfied. Service was prompt and friendly but again, the food just... wasn’t good.
We were seated in the bar and the bartender was doing his best, but seemed too busy to be serving the bar tables and making the drinks. Our service was slow.
Our food was fantastic. The Bolognese is top notch! The Panna Cota was sublime. The only reason for less stars is we sat at 5pm in the bar table area and understood dinner wasn't served until 5:30pm, but the server never came back to us until 5:45 and several tables seated after us got waited on before us. It was a long wait. After that, however, service seemed to go smoother and we understand the server was also serving at the bar and juggling. We love your restaurant.
Sat in the bar tonight... loved our Caprino Salad, Polpette di Carne (meatballs), Soup of the Day, and the Margherita Pizza along with a great IPA and Stella, both on draft. Fine service.
We’ve eaten at Tomasso’s several times before, but this was by far the best experience we’ve had. The focus was on quality versus quantity. Perfectly sized portions and my flat iron was cooked a perfect rare. My wife enjoyed a soup special made from chickpeas that was magnificent. Bravo to the new ownership
Its been several years since we last went to the restaurant, but we thought we would give it another try, it was less than disappointing, no where near what it once was, the service was awful, no personality at all from the waiter, atmosphere was even worse, the menu is very limited and unfortunately very uninspiring, over all very disappointing, and probably wont go back, such a shame as it was great a few years back....it was more like a very average at best Italian bistro.
We shared a pasta dish for an appetizer which included spinach and lemon; it was very good. Followed up with Solarno (Veal) which was good. I ordered chicken piccata. The chicken was grilled and lemon just put on top - not the way most piccata’s are made. This cane with sautéed spinach and roasted fingerlings. I would not order this dish again, besides the chicken not correctly cooked the spinach and potatoes were so highly salted that I could not eat them. I have learned that you can them to use a little sLt, no salt on any dish since they make them from scratch. I will, however, go back and try a different dish before I take this restaurant off my list.
Wife’s Birthday Dinner en route to attending a play.
Atmosphere was mellow. Service was prompt. Food was well prepared and tasted great. Staff was courteous and attentive to our needs. Would return if occasion arose again.
We always have a good meal at Tomasso's. This time the chicken marsala was just a little dry (one or two of the pieces of chicken). But otherwise we enjoyed our meal and will go back.
My wife and I have been to dinner here about a dozen times in the past year. New owners, very consistent, great service. The food is excellent, on par with Boston restaurants. The menu is thoughtful and varies. Great fresh pasta, really good beef and veal, great pizza ...and that's the point. Complex to simple dishes done well.
Mediocre food for the cost of the entrees. Nothing really bad, but I wouldn’t go back. Had veal saltimboca and the veal was overdone, as was the prosciutto. The seasoning was good, just not anything special
Their charging Boston prices in Southborough. Food didn’t rise to those prices. The decor needs a makeover.
This is a good place to meet a friend or have a business meal. The food is OK but not great. The salad was quite good, but the 2 pastas could have been fresher, hotter, and more flavorful. I was surprised that there was no Hendricks on the bar.
Knowledgable, friendly waitstaff. Excellent entrees - delicious and beautifully presented. The Brussels sprout side dish was small and overcooked. The panna cotta dessert was surprisingly small. Overall we had a great time, good food, and would go again.
Excellent, and it was nice to have lunch there again! Thanks!
Glad to have Tomasso in our neighborhood. Consistently good, easy parking, comfortable. Tonight the Flat Iron Steak with Brussel Sprouts and Carrots and the Margarita Pizza were excellent. Peroni on draft. Fine service from Beatrice.
Food was fairly tasty, however portion was small. I ordered the eggplant sandwich and there was only 1 piece of eggplant. It was like eating mostly bread.
The prix fix menu had excellent choices for New Year's Eve. The lobster bisque was delicious. The pasta course in particular was fabulous (spaghetti with Tuna and Bolognese), as well as the entrees (Short Rib and Scsllops with Asparagus Risotto). We love to go for New Year's Eve because it is close to home, but it feels like a special evening, without having to head in to Boston.
Every dish was flavorful, delicious and done just right. The salad, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Short Rib and chocolate cake for a closer was all on point.
I should know better than to go out on New Years Eve. There was a limited “3 courses for $70” menu and the choices weren’t great. Everything seemed kind of dingy and the service was very passive. I noted that it wasn’t as crowded as usual, so maybe the quality is slipping and loyal followers (such as I) are staying away.
It was really disappointing. Very mediocre experience. A waste of money.
Service was slow
entre took to long to arrive
Salads were poor
Quality was below normal - the swordfish special was not special
This is one of my favorite places but we had a disappointing night on this occasion
One of our favorite restaurants. The food is consistently amazing and always a new selection on the menu.
Food was meh. Nice server and Nice place just so so for me
We all enjoyed our meals - it was comfortable, wait staff was observant but not pesty, and food was well prepared. The pasta with burrata was delicious, but we had the burrata salad too and that was redundant. Need to explore some of the other dishes and would definately go back.
We like to come here for a nice, casual meal. Consistent. Tonight the meatballs, funghi pizza, caprino salad, Peroni on tap. Excellent service from Beatrice.
Food is excellent as always. Our server Bia was excellent, very attentive to your needs. Thank you to the staff for an excellent dining experience. Mike the bartender was awesome as always.
