   This place was just ok. We were excited about the regular menu, and only found out they were doing a limited Mother’s Day menu upon arrival. We ordered the charcuterie, which was plentiful and good. The entrees left a lot to be desired. My chicken piccata consisted of one tiny piece of chicken (it couldn’t have been more than 2 oz) and about half a cup of spaghetti. I almost asked the waitress where the rest of it was. For $24.00, I expected at least a normal portion size. The service was just ok. The waitress wasn’t very friendly and didn’t go out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Don’t think we will return.

   My only feedback is that I had originally made a reservation for 2 for 530 pm. On the day of , I requested adding 2 more people for a reservation for 4 people at the same time. It was communicated to me that you could not accommodate that- which I though weird, as 530 on a Saturday night seemed early enough. I was told I could have a table of 4 at either 5 pm or 645 pm. I arrived at 5 pm with my party of 4 to a completely empty restaurant- that stayed that way for over an hour. How is it that you could accommodate 4 at 5 pm though not 4 at 530? There were employees- kitchen staff, bar staff and servers at both 5 pm and 530, then there were diners? I was disappointed with this- our food came out so fast it seemed rushed.

   Went for my daughters birthday dinner. Pleasant evening and good food. I only wish the waiter informed me of the automatic gratuity for a party of 6. They added $50 automatically, which I didn’t know about. Then I added a $75 gratuity on top of that. I called the restaurant, and was nicely told that it said it in the menu and was circled in the bill. My bad I guess, but I thought the proper thing to do would be to give me a restaurant credit of $75.

   We hadn’t been to Tomasso’s since the start of Covid and then kind of forgot about it. When we were looking for a restaurant for dinner, they came up on Open Table and made our reservation. All of us loved our meals, our waiter was terrific, and we could actually hear each other talk! So glad that Open Table jogged my memory. All of us are looking forward to returning soon.

    Always great food. A menu suitable for every taste - and accommodating to vegetarian too. I always find it slightly loud and sometimes can be difficult for business discussions.

    Love love the food , and the wine list. Funghi pizza is OUTSTANDING! Wine list terrific , although recommend Barolo by the glass as well as Austin Hope. Service always outstanding.

    We really had a lovely time but we struggled to get a bottle of wine. They really have some excellent wines on the list but those wines are not necessarily available. We ordered a Masi Amarone - a fair deal of $100 for about a $60 retail wine. When it was not available, they offered a $25 bottle of Masi Valpolicella to me for the same $100. We ordered an Altesino Brunelleschi that also was not there before finally finding a Capana Brunello for a good price. Overall perhaps the good pricing causes shortages and the gentleman in charge was just not knowledgeable about the Masi pricing. But it was frustrating and felt, in the moment, like a bait and switch.

    Our waitress was the best thing about the meal, truly great service! Salads and starters were really quite delicious but the main course left everyone (table of 4) feeling a little disappointed - especially the bolognese which was bland and had very little meat or sauce. If you are going to charge $29 in Southborough I think it has to be pretty darn good and it was only just ok. Overall it was a really pleasant night minus the main course. I would go back but would probably just spring for a salad and protein.

    Overall I would not recommend this place anymore. The food was decent, but not great. This was a price fixed meal and it was about 1 hour between the first and second course and then it got to a point where it was coming to fast, no timing. The wait staff never came over to check on things or apologize for the time delays. It was so bad, we ended up getting our 4th course of dessert to go. For the price paid, the quality of food the bad timing of the meal, it was not worth it.

    My family of four enjoyed a night out here and found it very enjoyable but probably slightly above average food quality. The bolognese pasta was really good but I expected more based on prior reviews. The risotto was delicious and the steak entree was very good. I would say a good place to eat for our family but not great.

    An excellent evening at Tomasso's - it was quiet, which I enjoyed, the food was excellent, the server was attentive, and there was no push to leave - we ended up closing the place down. The bolognese was terrific, but I think the hit of the night was the bruschetta, topped with flavorful red and yellow grape tomatoes.

    There was no real problem with Tomasso Trattoria other than the noise. The problem was with OpenTable. When making the reservation, OpenTable didn't indicate that there was a prix fixe price of $75 for the table. It would have been nice to know that at the time I was making the reservation. I likely would have looked for a different restaurant.

    We had a fantastic meal at Tomasso last night. Wonderful apps (Bruschetta, Caprino salad and calamari) and our entrees were just as delightful. The pork chop special and fresh pasta were especially good. Feels like Tomasso has upped their game from our last few visits.

    We've been coming here for years. You have to have the 14oz pork chop that literally was the best pork chop I've had in years. Moist, flavorful you could cut with a butter knife. I highly recommend it!! Try any of their pastas, made fresh daily. When you finish your meal, try one of there wonderful desserts.

    Nearly inedible meals. Eggplant parmigiana that could barely be cut with a knife and overly sweet tomato sauce. Chicken Marsala with poor tasting undercooked spaghetti. Truly a shame for a restaurant that was once outstanding (change of ownership?) Will not return.

    Great service, aware of our needs, refills on soft drinks with no prompting. Bisque special for lunch was refreshing and spicy. We each had salads which were excellent. Side bread was excellent.

    They seem to have lost their edge. Arugula salad was over dressed and lacking cheese, and veal parmigiana was dry and tough , even after getting a second plate.

    I really love the salads, main dishes, and wine at Tomasso. The service is quick and gracious. It gets a bit noisy when full, and I needed my iPhone light to read the bill. Overall, it’s s favorite local restaurant!
