Tomaso's - Phoenix
Gino greeted us and returned to visit during the meal, very good Our waiter originally from Chicago was knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance is perfect, food wonderful and I recommend it highly
Tomaso's ambiance and food are excellent and a wonderful change from all the very noisy restaurants in the Valley. Also, Tom is an outstanding waiter, our personal fave!
Main course was great. Apps were good. Dessert's were a disappointment.
Best Italian food around
I had reservation for 12 for a client. Great food, great service, The ravioli and chicken parmigiana were excellent.
Excellent all the way around. Best Italian in area. Service wonderful.
Generous Italian dining, dishes made from scratch. Try the lemon veal scaloppine, it’s to die for. Would return anytime.
Our waiter could have been more helpful with the drinks since they don’t have a menu. No one ever mention that they have 2 private rooms, our Room where they placed us and than the Nice private room. I will still go back there is no doubt but now I know I have options.
Everything exceeded expectations
This was an Easter Dinner celebration and the restaurant had a special menu with fixed price and ala carte choices. We all ordered ala carte although the fixed price at $50 per person was a bargain. Most of us wouldn’t manage to eat 3 courses. We were early arrivals and attention was excellent with the place mostly empty at 5:30 p.m.. Oscar, our waiter was very attentive and precise in his description of the menu and in taking drink and meal orders. The salads and pasta dishes were very good as was the veal scaloppine.
We are frequent diners so we can say the food doesn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, the last 2 times we’ve been to Tomaso’s they have had special menus so the pricing is about 20% higher. Understandable, but knowing I usually get the Ciopino with tagliatelle for $39 vs $48 is enough to steer me away from it until my next visit. By the time we left at 8:15 the place was full including the bar area and I had to seek out the check. Not a problem as one of my biggest gripes is getting pushed out of a restaurant as opposed to good places in Italy where you have the table for the night or are ready to leave.
All in all we highly recommend Tomaso’s if you want a fine Italian meal.
Tomaso’s is my “new” favorite for celebrating and date nights. It’s been around forever, but I finally admitted to myself that Tomaso’s is my go to place for Italian food and white linen service. It’s the perfect place to linger over delicious eats and engaging conversation. Don’t be in a rush, leisurely is the best pace to enjoy Tomaso’s. You’ll be glad you hung out for a while with the eager staff in the friendly atmosphere.
Dining here is always consistent. For son’s birthday we had a fantastic meal. Tom, our server is the best! Looking forward to our next visit!
I’m from New York, my family owned an Italian restaurant. I’m Sicilian. This is by far the best Italian fine dining in all of Arizona,
Authentic dishes! You won’t find American Italian food here. If you know good Italian food you will welcome and celebrate Tomasos. The stuffed zucchini flowers was awesome. The veal so tender you could eat it with a fork.
Try and find Italian bread this good anywhere,
Aaron our waiters experience shows why customers are so satisfied. Tomaso is actually there, he cares, and checks on his patrons. This is an Italian/Sicilian experience like no other in Arizona! La Bella Vita!
Food was amazing but they need to dim the lights (way too bright in the restaurant).
Amazing restaurant, great service, and delicious food!
Outstanding Italian Food in the old country tradition. We look forward to going back. Tom Kirk
We did not care for the entrees. The appetizer was great -esgargot But the chicken parmigiana was tough and my partner’s rosotto was tasteless although the sea bass was okay. The service was excellent
Excellent food. Best Italian dish I have ever had. Service was great and the location is very convenient
The food was amazing as always. Our server, Tom, was a little frenzied and forgot a few things we had to ask for more than once. He was very nice, but prefer the more calm energy we had with previous servers we've had in the past when visiting
Food was phenomenal. I had the lobster and shrimp fra diavolo. Just the right amount of spice. The fried zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese as an appetizer were amazing. Can’t wait to return.
Birthday for my daughter. We all loved it and you made a special day even better
Food was a bit bland. Service was very slow & the noise level was too much!!!
On top of the kids, the loud conversations there was music playing.
One of my favorite iconic restaurants in Phoenix. I am always surprised when people have not heard of it. Then again, maybe we fans want to keep it our own secret. Being a native New Yorker I think it is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in town. The dishes are traditional, well-seasoned, and not just the run-of-the-mill lasagne and pizza. It has a good wine list as well. It is a small beautifully decorated place, so reservations are probably recommended.
My comment to my wife and friends, "I wish they had this restaurant back in Cincinnati because I would eat there every week. The menu was awesome, the waiter (Tom) was the best waiter ever and I tipped him 25%. Don't miss this restaurant if you like great Italian food and Italian wines!!!
The only negative we experienced was the smell of the Lily flowers, they were very strong through out the restaurant. We just drank more wine and that took care of the smell.
Tomasso is consistently excellent. Servers are uniformly pleasant and know their jobs. We always enjoy our meals there.
Ambiance is lovely, manager most considerate.
Shared artichoke and zucchini flower with aioli as a first and the Cesar salad and ravioli as a main plus breaded chicken.
Shared a tiramisu which is superb as well.
Portions are rather large
A definite treat.
We had never been to Tomaso's before and neither had our friends. We will be back!
From start to finish, my husband and I were so impressed with the waiters, ambiance, cleanliness, service, and of course the food, which was outstanding. We are already planning our next visit which will be very soon. Bravo to your staff and and Chef! I will be highly recommending Tomaso's to all our friends and family.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The wait staff is excellent. The food selection is fabulous! There are many seafood dishes, veal and pasta. We love them all!!
Had another wonderful meal Tomaso’s. We’ve been there several times when we have been in Phoenix. We look forward to dinner there again.
Amazing service, amazing food, and an amazing time was had.
Despite the fact that we were seated next to the bar in a high-traffic area, we had outstanding service and a nice evening. The meal was very good, if a little over-priced. I would like to go back and try something else, at a quieter table.
Tomaso’s is a family favorite that holds tons of memories for us. This was a special evening with our children and they loved it!! The food was exceptional and the service was superb!! We will come back again and again.
Great restaurant with tasty Italian food. Good service and a nice environment. Not too noisy, light enough to see your dinner date. A good experience.
The live music is loud so we get the room in the back but it’s dead in there and empty so it’s boring. But if that’s your jam, the foods bomb!
Food was a bit cold, but was great overall
Great food and ambiance
Terrific authentic Italian food. House made pasta made the lasagna special outstanding. My wife had special Sole with perfectly made risotto.
