Probably fourth or fifth time going , and always a great experience....food is great service is great , ambience is very nice . Would highly recommend, and will definitely be returning. Lastly if I may , try the tuna cones .......

I have always enjoyed Toma's. When a colleague heard I was going there, he told my guest that the food is great but service is slow. I never noticed that before...it wasn't so slow that I wouldn't return or recommend Toma...but once called to my attention I was aware of the thought.

Still, an outstanding dinner and well recommended.

The food was absolutely delicious! I recommend the burrata salad and the scallops. The scallops were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of charring. Highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the top few restaurants in Santa Barbara. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. All four in our party ordered different entrees. We had to share as all were excellent!

Great food, service and our table by the window was great. Possibly one of our best meals ever, the tuna cones are a must, and the black spaghetti is amazing.

I had the ravioli pasta which was good, and the sauce was excellent. My partner had the sea bass and it was equally good. Attentive service, but not hurried. Nice mix of locals and visitors made a lively, but not loud dining experience.

A bit of a rough start, but once we sat down, fantastic. When we arrived for our reservations they weren't ready for us. We went up the bar to wait and grab a drink while we waited. We stood a moment and saw an open spot so started for it. When we started to sit down, a woman that we had passed on our way, came over to tell us that there was actually a wait for the bar. The women she had been talking to that we had passed on our way to the bar I guess had been waiting?? I'm not sure exactly what the background was; however, it could have been communicated in a much nicer manner. She was a bit rude and made us feel like we should have known. We noticed tables opening up. The hostess came to tell us they were still waiting a 2 top to open to seat us. Considering it was after our reservation time, I felt we shouldn't have had to wait so another table type opened. We decided to finish our wine and if we weren't seated by the time we finished, we'd go somewhere else. We were seated before that glass of wine was finished. From there, the evening and experience improved significantly. The waiter was great, as were the food runners and busboys. The food is very well done (try the tuna cones and scallops). The restaurant was busy, so obviously not in need of my business; however, the first part of experience impacts if and how often we'll return

The service was friendly and helpful. My daughter and I shared the ravioli, Burrata salad and lobster whipped potatoes. We loved the ravioli as the sauce tasted fresh and was creamy but not too heavy. For the price the Burrata salad did not have enough Burrata. Would recommend coming here with an appetite as so many items looked amazing on the menu.

Just celebrated a birthday with dinner at Toma! The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The scallops were scrumptious! The cocktail I had with cucumber vodka was yummy. They brought out a dessert with a candle which was very nice! Toma is such a nice restaurant to celebrate special events!! Cheers!

My favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara. I dine here every year for the orchid show but this year I came again for my wife’s birthday as we were staying in SB for the weekend. Always a great time and the scallops are the best!

The restaurant is nicely decorated. The tables are close together as the venue is small and busy. The food was very good and cooked perfectly. There were locals eating there which is always a good sign. Enjoyed our evening.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here and everything was perfect! Cozy and romantic feel with a table overlooking the beach. The service was excellent and the food delicious!

The Food was very good and the entire staff was very personable and nice. The waiter was super cool and nice and the help staff was also very nice. We liked the set upon our table because we were able to speak to the couple next to us the entire meal and share our thoughts and suggestions. It was nice that it was walking distance from our hotel as well. It's a must try if your staying in Santa Barbara. My wife has the scallops and I had the braised beef. For dessert we split a creme brûlée and a variety of Ice Cream from the famous Mcconnells ice cream palace. Yummy

Had a nice table, friendly waiter and delicious food. Mario gave us excellent service and stopped by to check on us. I love the warm cheese filled olives. We also had squash blossoms, arugula salad, scallops and swordfish, all prepared perfectly. The pomodoro sauce on swordfish was a little too heavy and smokey for our taste but everything else was right in target.

En visite à Santa Barbara, nous avons choisi Toma grâce aux commentaires sur les réseaux et on a bien fait de les suivre!
Dans un salon très accueillant (complet- importante la reserve) nous avons rencontré un menu avec quelques plats très originels. Bonne carte de vins. Excellente crème brulée comme désert. Et de bons conseils du personnel pour les choix. Excellent !

We love Toma. I grew up in Santa Barbara and no trip back now is complete without a wonderful meal at Toma. We love the location, the food, the staff and Tom. We waited anxiously or hi to re-open the location 7 years ago, and it was even better than we could imagine. They are relatively small so i expect reservations are important, and well worth the visit

Sunday night late (for us) supper @ 830 pm, which can often be a challenging dining day and time. However, Toma did not disappoint and was well-deserving of its #1 Trip Advisor ranking. Service was outstanding...my wife had the gnocchi and I the black spaghetti w/white shrimp, etc., both recommended by our server. Both were superb! Dessert was creme brulee, which did not disappoint and the house coffee was better than most. Tom, the co-owner (with his wife) came to our table and we visited for a bit about Santa Barbara, Toma and my favorites in non-alcoholic craft beers (yes, Virginia, they are making those now!). We give Toma and its staff on the floor and in the kitchen our highest praise.

Homemade Pasta was delicious. Calamari was veey lightly battered - which is how I prefer it. I would return here to try several other entrees

The evening was perfect!!! An interesting menu, food was delicious, wine also, wonderful service from Trey, everyone loved the restaurant itself which creates the atmosphere at the start. And I can be a problem always asking for 2nds of olives and "don't hold back on the sauces" etc and everyone is so patient and generous!!! And some of us are foodies from LA and will be coming back to your doorstep. Thanks so much, Missy Cunningham (who heads home to Vermont tomorrow) (this must be 50 characters!)

Very pretty restaurant with good service and ok food. Maybe we didnt order the right thing....best was lamb meatballs. Pasta was nicely cooked but lacked the wow factor.
