Considering the circumstances it was a delightful moment of calm.
This was our third time visiting their Sunday brunch. The place was packed, so it was a bit noisy. We liked the food although I wish they had more seafood variety. Our waiter David was very nice and friendly. We will definitely come back again.
The restaurant, staff, and ambiance were great for brunch. Unfortunately the food was not as expected. The crab legs were precooked and cold causing them to taste awful and to be stringy. In addition the seafood all together was not as expected. The best thing about the brunch was the champagne. Very disappointed.
. Server was great-felt like the seafood was hit or miss. The crab was super waterlogged and frozen that it was mealy.
Did not appreciate the 4% service charge for increased costs AT ALL. Sure, it was on the menu but when you’re chatting and having fun it’s easy to overlook. Why play games with your customers. Just raise the prices. Be honest.
Great view and very relaxing. We split a calamari appetizer and a crab louie and it was just the perfect lunch
Service was good. Prawns were undercooked. Food was expensive. Had a salad, prawns, green beans, glass of chardonay and a beer. Bill was over $50.00. The crowning blow was the 4% additional charge added to the bill before tax so we got to pay tax on the surcharge.
The fact a restaurant this close to the airport doesn't have wifi was another example of management not understanding what the customer wants or needs.
We will not return!!!!!!!!!!!
This was my third time visiting and was so turned off by the poor service I highly doubt I will return again. Food was just okay, my sons scallops were under cooked.
Excellent service and atmosphere, nice variety of food
Thoroughly enjoyed brunch! I would definitely go back again.
Excellent food and service, with an incredible view. This was our first visit and we’ve added it to our list of favorites. It’s a little on the pricey side but we’ll be going back again for sure.
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal at Tom Ham's Lighthouse on February 29, 2020, to wrap up a two-month stay in southern California. We greatly enjoyed our entire dining experience -- service, food, and ambiance. The views of the San Diego skyline through the huge windows was a special treat. We highly recommend this restaurant for visitors to San Diego.
View and atmosphere are great. Service was very good. My mahi fish was perfect, but two others with me said theirs was underdone. Unfortunately, they didn't say anything to waiter and suffered through. My fish was cooked perfectly and tasted great. It's too bad that 2 out of 3 were under cooked, so maybe odds of a great meal aren't what they should be, but based just on my meal, it was very good. We sat outside and the view of San Diego is absolutely stunning. This is a San Diego landmark.
Great view but cheese board was pricey and stingy on portions and price was high on all
Wonderful restaurant with spectacular views. Delicious and healthy food with great service. We always visit this restaurant for special occasions.
The good vibe began even before we arrived. When we called to say we were stuck in a traffic jam and would be delayed, your staff said that they would hold our table, and thank you for calling ahead. They meant it!
Upon arrival we were shown to an ideal table, were served with utmost courtesy and professionalism, received some of the best cocktails ever. Enjoyed an exquisite dinner, were served and attended to with just the right touch.
This was a very special night, celebrating a birthday that has been delayed by a winter cold, and the opportunity to spend an evening with a visiting relative whom we had not seen in a very long time. An ideal evening and ideal circumstance made all the more special by your first rate staff.
We have dined at Tom Ham’s many times and this was probably the best ever.
It's one of my favorite place in San Diego. I love the view.
Not my first time at Tom Hams but it was for my two guests, a birthday celebration. As always the food, the server. the vibe, THE VIEW !!! was no less than wonderful. Yes I recommend and yes I will be back.
We went for the raw seafood and free-flowing alcohol, but the sheer variety and prompt service definitely surprised us. Thank you for a great brunch date!
Our server was very friendly and kept our table clear of empty plates. Our party of 7 had a great time, and there were plenty of options for our vegetarian friends and apple cider instead of champagne as a non-alcoholic option.
I have lived in San Diego for over 40 years and this my first experience having brunch at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse. I was very impressed with everything!!! The food was excellent, service was outstanding and the view was amazing. The food selection was fantastic. For the price this was the best overall experience I have had at a brunch. I wish I hadn’t waited so long. I
Our server, Alicia, was outstanding. The noise level was high largely due to two rehearsal dinners goingon around us. Our guests from the midwest especially loved the view.
Great staff, amazing view, good food
Absolutely amazing food and service. The view of course was a dream!
Great steak. Glad to have some non-seafood options.
Great birthday meal!
Both my wife and I had time off on President’s Day and took the opportunity to schedule a post-Valentine’s Day lunch date at the place where we were married 3 1/2 years ago in 2016. It was a beautiful day along San Diego Bay. The food and service were wonderful at Tom Ham’s, just like it was back on our wedding day. We would highly recommend Tom Ham’s Lighthouse for any of your casual or formal events.
I love the ambiance there by the water; parking is easy and you can take a nice walk after your meal. The shrimp po boy sandwich with malted fries was delicious, as was the sangria. I've always enjoyed my visits to this restaurant.
Great food like always & server was fantastic.
I've been there in the past and shell fish was a lot better. It wasn't bad but quality wasn't there. Service was outstanding. Smoked salmon was terrific. Wizh I started there. Beef and short rib was also very good. Desserts where also very tasty.
We celebrated our wedding at Tom Hams and so each year on our anniversary weekend we go to Sunday brunch. It's always a highlight. The seafood station, bottomless mimosas, buffet and service are all top notch. Plus you can't beat the view of San Diego Bay. Great experience!
Wonderful find. Beautiful location and prime seating with great seafood selection. Great value for what is offered and incredible view included.
Late Valentine’s Day dinner. Didn’t order off the Valentine’s Day menu but it was cool that the kept it up all weekend. Drinks were amazing but pricy, food was okay but reasonably priced.
Overall great food and view. Love the outdoor seating, especially during sunset. Food and drinks were superb. Would definitely go again.
Server was really great and attentive.
We had family visiting from Lake Tahoe. We took then to Tom Hams and they loved it! We sat outside, the weather, service, and food were amazing. We sat there well after we finished eating and talked. We were not rushed out at all.
We usually come for the brunch which is very good, so we thought we would try dinner. I ordered the Market fish which was yellow tail and It was a bit under cooked. My husband ordered the Paella which was a lot smaller portion than we expected and was lacking seasoning. We then ordered the cinnamon Apple crumb cake. Nothing like we expected. No crumbs on it and it was like a pudding. We sent it back. The waitress Ally was very gracious and did her best to accommodate us . Loved her personality. I think we will just stick with the brunch.
Best table with a view! Service was impeccable. Food was excellent!
Steak was not done how I asked for it. Med done. It was med rare. Then all they did was put it in a oven so the plate was super hot and burnt my hand.
Nice ambiance. Amazing view if you're seated out side. Lunch menu was ok. I ordered the steak /greens/fries. It was ok for lunch.
Steak was room temperature. I enjoyed the fries.
