Tom Colicchio's Heritage Steaks - Mirage Hotel & Casino Ratings and Reviews
Upon walking up to the host and letting her know I had a reservation I was very surprised at her unfriendly demeanor. I was right on time yet she very abruptly told me our table would be ready in a few minutes.... and that was it. No offer to be seated at the bar for a pre-dinner drink while we wait. Just a very unenthusiastic response and attitude.
Okay, so perhaps she was having a bad day. From there it got a little better in terms of service but the food was very average. We ordered the risotto, grilled shrimp, lobster Florentine and an appetizer they had prepared for Valentine’s Day. The shrimp was room temperature at best. The risotto was not its usual self and the lobster was very very oily...... I love this place but I’m not sure I’ll spend another 360.00 to eat here ever again.
With so many places to eat in Las Vegas it's difficult to choose where to go. We couldn't be happier with our choice! We had delicious, unique cocktails, oysters with tequila cocktail sauce, and the most perfectly cooked steaks. We had a show to go to so we ran out of time for dessert. All the wait staff was attentive. Our waiter, Anthony, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave helpful descriptions so we could make decisions. I would recommend this restaurant.
The food and table service were fantastic. But, the tables are set too close together and our chairs were constantly being hit/kicked by other guests and staff. Some of the staff apologized when this happened but most did not. I was also disappointed in the menu - the steak sizes are too big - nothing smaller than 10oz (except for Waygu from Japan which had smallest size of 4oz), there are no options for vegetarians and the dessert menu was lacking. I have been very excited to try this restaurant since hearing of its opening but was disappointed in the overall experience.
We had a dinner and show package. The service was so slow even though they knew we had to go to the show. We were late for the show. We were amongst the first people in the restaurant, so there was no excuse to make us "wolf down" our food just so we could "run out" and try to get to the show on time. Food was not okay. The lettuce in my salad was not washed properly and it was so sandy and gritty I could not eat it. Shared sentiment by the others with salad. Just not a great experience. I think they could do a lot better. On the other hand, the steak was very good.
3 of us shared the double cut bone in ribeye. Looked like it had been cooked straight out of refrigeration. The beef had no flavor. Not good. Whipped potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts were good, french fries were terrible. Jalapeño biscuits left a lot to be desired. I won't be going back next year.
We made reservations prior to a show at the Mirage. We arrived a bit early and had a drink at the bar. The bar staff were so friendly, we ended up eating at the bar instead of moving to a table. Their service was outstanding and we enjoyed our dinner tremendously.
Food was, well, meh. Lobster thermador was very good. But bone in step was bland and tough. Octopus appetizer, so-so. Hamachi was uninspired.
Service was also less than stellar... When I come to a restaurant like this I expect knowledgeable and helpful wait staff. When I asked for recommendations I got a "I heard this is good" on about 5 items. No details why or personal tasting suggestions.
Overall, disappointing.... Maybe a $100 meal; definitely not $300 as spent.
Amazing Service, Food, Ambiance, Wine and Anthony our waiter was just the best ever!
Can't wait to go to Vegas again, just to go here.
To compare, Cut is great but slightly over priced. whereas Heritage Steak at Mirage is just as good and the service is more personable. I love it!
For anyone who thinks this will be the same food and experience as Craftsteak, Tom Colicchio’s other Steakhouse in Vegas at the MGM Grand, I want to warn you that it is most certainly NOT. I have been dining at Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak at the MGM for almost 15 years and have had an exceptional experience every time. A few years ago, Colicchio opened another steakhouse at the Mirage, Heritage Steak. While one would assume these 2 high end restaurants would serve the same quality food and provide the same level of service being they are both owned by the same chef, I can tell you that Heritage falls whoefully short on virtually every level. Not only is the top notch service that is synonomys with Craftsteak missing, but the food quality and presentation is beyond disappointing. Took several friends here for a NYE dinner, promising them the same exceptional experience I’ve come to expect from Craftsteak, only to be embarassed beyond belief. The service was subpar and underwhelming at best, and every course we ordered was below average and grossly overpriced. I wish I could find one thing that Heritage did right, unfortunately there was none. I am shocked that Mr. Colicchio could put his name on such a disappointing restaurant and I can’t understand how the management at his 2 Vegas establishments could be so vastly different. My recommendation is to avoid Heritage at all costs and if you can’t get a reservation at Craftsteak, check out Gordon Ramsey Steak, Prime at Bellagio or SW at Wynn.
Incredible menu selection! Waiters were very helpful explaining all selections and specials! Also their wine selections were massive! My wife and I like a specific champagne and we were not disappointed! Absolutely recommend this incredible restaurant ! Only wish there could give it a 6star rating!
Recommendations: for starters the grilled octopus is amazing and the pork belly is the best I’ve had. I had the skirt steak which was so flavorful and of course added the crab. I pretty much cried when I️ ate the crab. So good! Expensive but worth every penny especially if it’s a special occasion.
We visited Heritage Steak on Christmas Day (around 9 p.m. after a show at the Mirage).
All in all it was a big disappointment. They had run out of the special Christmas Dinner that they had advertised (and had prompted us to make our reservation there). By 9 p.m. they had also run out of their prime rib. I suppose it had been a long day for the wait staff, but they didn't seem to apologetic about running out of things.
We ended up getting salads, soup, and a couple of appetizers.
The salads were good. The Lobster Bisque was terrible, and for some reason the chef decided to cover the soup bowl with a puff pastry shell (which didn't add any flavor and just made the soup difficult to eat. I've had better lobster bisque from a can.
The appetizers were okay, but I was expecting something great. In comparison, we ate at Table 10 last year, and we almost wanted to lick our plates clean because everything was so good.
All in all, we won't be hurrying back to Heritage Steak.
Went to enjoy their Christmas dinner special. At 7:30 on Christmas evening, “sorry we’re out” despite the fact that there was still a poster at the entrance advertising this special meal at a reasonable price. We were upsold on everything including the ‘still’ water which came in a Fiji bottle. Our dinner was twice the price and half as good as we expected. Our waiter was grossly inattentive although quite full of himself whenever he showed up. Fortunately, his supporting team were great. I would not recommend this place. Very disappointing!
We were really disappointed with our service and felt it was not consistent with the high end reputation of the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes after we were seated to get waited on and another 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. The little things were missing. 2 in our party asked for black napkins and it took quite a while to get them. When the salads arrived no one asked if we wanted pepper and waiter was not very attentive. The food was exceptional but we probably won’t return as the service brought down the total of the experience.
I made reservations for two at Heritage on Christmas day for dinner. I'd heard great things about Tom Colicchio's newest Las Vegas restaurant & as an avid Top Chef fan, it seemed like a perfect Christmas treat.
The restaurant is beautiful. Classically decorated with rich wood & perfect mood light. If only our experience ended there.
Our waiter, Anthony, was a microcosm of the issues of our entire experience at Heritage. He had a big personality, but no actually skill at being a server. After ordering, he seemingly vanished until it was time to pay the check. All style, but no substance. This is apparently the theme of Heritage.
Overall, the food was meh. The table starter was Cheddar Biscuits & house made Beef Jerky. We ordered the Bone Marrow, Foie Gras, & Steak Tartar to start. I ordered the Prime Rib, and my husband the New York strip, with French Fries, Onion Rings, & the Truffle Risotto to share. We finished with Figgy Pudding &coffee. The Cheddar Biscuits were about on par with Red Lobster's. The Bone Marrow was a pile of Lobster Salad sitting on a bone that probably once has marrow in it, but didn't seem to make it to the table. I like lobster well enough, but when I order bone marrow, I expect to actually get bone marrow. The foie was well seared, & the sweetness was a nice counterpoint to the fattiness. The tartar was well seasoned, but had started to oxidize, so it was an offputting color. My prime rib was tough & desperately needed salt. The risotto was glue, the onion rings were dense as nowhere near crispy, & the fries were McDonald's quality.
For this we paid $330 BEFORE tip. The food wasn't exactly bad, but it wasn't good either. It was the quality you would expect from any chain steakhouse, but TRIPLE the price. Honestly, there are so many other incredible restaurants in Vegas, this place isn't worth wasting your time or money at. Suggestion: Go to Momofuku and get Crispy Rice Cakes. They will change your life, and are much better priced.
We went to Heritage on Christmas Eve before we attened the Beatles show "Love". We had a party of eight with four children. The staff was great and food was amazing. The staff was great with my my kids. The fillet will just melt in your mouth. It was the perfect meal for my family on Christmas Eve. This was my second time visiting Heritage. Both times were great. I would recommend Heritage to anyone looking for an amazing fire grilled steak while in Vegas. It won't disappoint.
My wife and I have been to Vegas twice in 2 years, and we went to Heritage Steak both times. We had the foie gras and bone marrow. Both were cooked simply but to perfection, leaving us satisfied, not bloated, and ready for our main course. We had the ribeye and the bone-in dry aged new york strip. The ribeye was the perfect amount of fattiness and flavor. The strip was leaner but still delicious. Had a glass of the 2015 Syrah Cote Du Rhone. My wife, who normally does not like wine, loved it for its smoothness and body. We will be back again next time we're in Vegas.
Incredible steak, my business partner and I shared the Kobe steak with a couple sides. Very rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, will be spoiled for life after eating that steak. Service was excellent, multiple people constantly checking on us. Highly recommend.
