Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse
Please let us know if you would like an Hibachi or Shabu dinner.
Always a good time, CHEF KEVIN is hilarious and very entertaining
Our family eats here a few times a year. It's a relatively easy place to dine out. The food at the Hibachi table is fresh and satisfying. The cooks are engaging and what they lack in showmanship, they make up for in delivering the food as requested: medium is medium, rare is rare, etc.... It's not inexpensive, but it not over the top either for a family of 4.
The waitress was not attentive. The bus woman cleaned the table and reached across my body and leaned on my arm and pushed my elbow several times to clean the table. Not really ready to leave yet we were still talking me and my other guest and they basically acted like we were not there just grabbed and stacked dishes in front of us. Extreme disrespect, rude and rushed. Not at all relaxing.
We went for Shabu-Shabu but they no longer do that. The Hibachi chef was quite funny and engaged the crowed. Lots of fun
We were not seated until after 8:45 even though we had an 8 o’clock reservation.
Super great again!!
Good atmosphere and good food. Chef almost created a theatre experience!
It was very dirty, but super fun.
Our favorite hibachi.
Food and service were great. Our chef could have been a little more exciting.
Tokyo offers good food reliably. It’s not fancy but generally its loud.
Sometimes the chefs routines feel a bit rite.
We are a frequent visitor, and the place was relatively quiet. However, this visit was memorable because of our chef Ken ( I believe I have his name correct) was amazing, his presentation was fun and he had mastered the art; he made the dinner. A very enjoyable evening.
Great and fun.
always a great place to go for a celebration. great for kids!
The experience was a little rushed. They over sold me the need for # of plates. So ended up taking to go, but turned to be an expensive experience.
We had a delicious and entertaining hibachi meal for my son's birthday. The filet and lobster were excellent and perfectly cooked. The fried oysters are a standout dish.
Instead of telling us up front that it would be an hour wait (had a reservation) the staff kept telling us five to 15 more minutes. They should have been up front and said it would be an hour wait. They all hid from the guests. The food was fine but no one cared that five minutes was a lie.
The food was very salty and the meat had lots of gristle. The salad was limp and the dressing was not good.
Great place for a celebration. What a show! Spacious atmosphere. Food very tasty. Everyone was very nice and attentive.
They were very short staffed and it took a long time to get underway. But we did have a great time.
We come here a lot bc our kids love it. It is a reasonably cost effective way to have a big event for the kids like a birthday dinner. This visit was rough...I reserved for 9 people for 6:30. We were not seated until 7PM. No one was particularly apologetic. Then the service was slow. And uneven. We could not even get water filled without walking up to the bar. The sushi that came was not the sushi we had ordered (we ate it anyway given how long it took to come!) They did not comp anything on our bill. They were not full by the time we ordered so not sure what happened on the service front. I'm sure I'll go again bc the kids will make me but if I had an alternative I would take it!
We brought our son and 6 friends, along with our teenager and her friend, to celebrate our son's 12th birthday. What a great place for a celebration! Lots of fun and the food was great.
Birthday. We noted in the reservation. They didn’t ask about it when we arrived. We didn’t mention it. So we just celebrated without any fanfare. I probably should have said something when we arrived.
Reservation at 6:30. Got seated promptly with another group of 4-6. Waited at grill table for over 50 minutes before chef came. Other group got tired of waiting and left just prior - went to a neighbor restaurant. Was able to order one drink, never got drink service again or even water until mid way through meal when chef realized that we had been trying to flag someone down. Because other party left, chef cooked fast and sloppy, made mistakes on order (due to other group) ran back to kitchen to get other food with items cooking on grill. My wife started taking salmon off before it burned — and it was indeed done to well. Then before done eating, served check and encouraged to wrap up (“all done, take away boxes?”) ... so they could turn the table. Cost almost $200 for 2 kids and 2 adults and only 2 alcohol beverages. No apps. A wait of 50+ minutes before food hit grill, and actual eating time - maybe 20 minutes. My sons birthday - not a great experience- stressful. They both stated that it was time to move on from Tokyo Steakhouse. What once was good, is no longer ... they’ve gotten complacent and lazy in service while prices continue to go up.
We did not wait to be served. The food and service were good.
Waitress told us there was no bottled water, but I asked another waitress and she got it for us. Also same previous waitress was arguing with us about food items saying two things on the menu are the same (but they weren’t). Maybe she was having a bad day, but even after food was served... no one came to check if we needed more stuff or anything. Waited to pay bill for awhile. Overall don’t think we’ll be going back.
Fun night out with work colleagues. Some had sushi, some had teppenaki. The teppanaki chef was very entertaining and interactive. Food quality was excellent as was the service. Will return!
Did not know it was a mall restaurant. Typical of a mall restaurant: loud people with loud kids, servers that did not speak much English and were always in a hurry. Food was just ok.
Simply!! Always good!!
The food was tasty and the filet mignonette was tender but rare was over cooked. The service was good and the show by the cook was excellent
Terrific group meal!!
They told me that they don't use Open Table. We still had to wait. Not sure why. The place was not full. The waitress took over 20 minutes to come over to us. They were out of milk. Again. They serve kids. Kids drink milk.
Great time again!! Plus always meet great people when eating there. Can’t wait to go back there it will be soon.
Very slow and inattentive staff. You feel as though you are bothering them when asking for water or an extra set of utensils.
Food was decent with hibachi better than shabu.
I doubt it would be very busy if it wasn’t the overflow for Frank Pepe’s, Cheesecake and Besito.
They need to hire more staff for peak times like Saturdays.
Food was good. One of the better hibachi restaurants in the area.
Great place for families with kids from toddler to teenagers
Food is always consistently delicious, and the service is consistently poor.
