Went there for my daughter’s birthday. Monday evening, not crowded. Felt rushed throughout dinner. I left the table to load a photo for my daughter. They brought a sparkler candle while I was absent and I missed it. Also, just the sparkler candle. No dessert attached to it. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Can’t have a do-over! I called and complained. Still waiting for management to make it right.
Love the food here & the staff is always polite. The price is definitely worth the value!
First time here. Took my girlfriend for her birthday. A little pricey, but worth it. We got the rock shrimp tempura, skirt steak, and kung pao . All items were good. Finished with banana wonton. The drinks was good as well. Will definitely make another trip here again.....
It was ok. Very expensive. I ordered the Wagyu steak, not really knowing myself what to expect. I was surprised to find more than half of it pure fat. In all fairness I Googled the beef after and it said heavily marbled with lots of fat. So partially my fault for picking it. Never again. The Kobe beef skewers although a small portion were very good.
There is a definite lack of Gluten Free options and for such a swank and pricey establishment there should be more. PF Changs can do it so can Toku.
All in all a decent experience and I would maybe go back but in no rush to.
Great food! Service was friendly and food was out very fast. Waiters are very attentive. However, felt a little too on top of other diners, sitting too close to one another. I could hear everyone’s conversations more than my own. Other than that, it was a great first time visit.
Had a great time. Staff was very attentive. Fast was served fast.
Loud and busy but consistently delicious. We’ve never had a bad meal. Love having a go to place not far from home. Must visit if you haven’t!
Great service, amazing food, beautiful ambiance
Great service great food great ambiance
Food is always excellent but today service was a bit slow and waiter took a long time to bring our drinks and totally forgot to bring our salad. When we asked him about it he said that he was trying to stagger the dishes. Who eats salad after appetizers sushi meat and rice?
Generally always have good service . Maybe this was an off night
Toku never disappoints! It was a perfect place to celebrate my friend's 60th birthday. The staff is always attentive and the service is excellent. The cocktail menu is a real treat and the food is consistently excellent!
By far one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Actually the BEST!!!
Foods amazing, service is surprisingly perfect.. waiters/waiters are constantly on you hand and foot, drinks are on point, and I Enjoyed time with my best friend and went again in a date a couple of days after my first time because I couldn’t get enough. I definitely recommend this place for a girls night out or any other special occasion of course. A bit pricey but you don’t leave hungry and it’s so worth it. You get what you pay for that’s for sure.
Never disappoints.... food consistently delish, service is great...
my wife and i always go out for lunch on valentine's day instead of dinner. toku was her favorite restaurant, but she has developed several food allergies, gluten/dairy/soy and was hesitant to dine there given the type of food they serve. i called before making reservations and was assured they could serve her safely.
we sat down and our server brought over our menu and she explained her situation to him. he went over what he thought was safe, but said he would double check with the chef. upon his return he told her anything cooked in the kitchen was cooked in soybean oil. he felt so badly too. he offered a salad or plain sushi, but she didn't want to be there to eat this, smelling everything she wish she could be eating. he got some female from the front who started contradicting information he received from the chef. and then she started making excuses. i guess she doesn't get people can die if you give them food they cannot eat.
i wish they would have just been honest. they ruined our whole valentine's day. my wife was so upset and i don't blame her. there were other places i could have attempted to take her that wouldn't have caused her this pain and embarrassment. all the people who answer the phone there care about is making a dollar, not the people who can suffer at their hands.
Great food and helpful staff
Great meal, Kobe beef sliders were excellent, edamame dumplings were out of this world, also had the fried rice with chicken and salmon avocado rolls with soy paper all amazing and service was excellent as well.
Tofu is consistently a dining pleasure with a professional wait staff and good food in a sophisticated environment.
Food is amazing! Prices for drinks is quite high but you are paying for the ambiance.
Excellent as usual
it was good
The food was delicious and perfectly cooked , the staff was amazing and very attentive ! I will defiantly be back and highly recommend ToKu !
Great for family in town and thanks for being accommodating in giving us a larger table when requested!
Excellent food. Not enough special rolls unique choices
We eat there frequently. It's always a treat! The food is amazing. It's a great menu with many interesting and delicious options. The service is excellent. They are extremely friendly at all levels. The ambiance is perfectly energetic.
Delicious lunch between window shopping and indulging on a few necessities. Our waiter was Daniel who was incredibly sweet and willing to hat. Had some great new ideas for different sauces with items.
The food is always amazing. The atmosphere is great and they accommodated one person in our group with a good allergy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.
Once again a major disappointment. Our party of 4 was seated at 2 different tables after being alerted. They wanted to start our order before our full party arrived. I was asked if I wanted another glass of wine when I still had a 1/3 of a glass. Plates are removed when you have a fork in hand. Overbearing service regardless of what you say. We had a 3:45 reservation and they pulled the luncheon menus from our hands and said we had to order from the dinner menu. Food is merely okay and not worth the price. This use to be a favorite stop but after 2 very unpleasant experiences we will not return.
Roast Pork Buns were overcooked as was the strip steak.. did get waiter to comp us one small glass of wine. Not up to their usual standards.
Really great food and drinks: Here are my recommendations: Tokutini, crispy rice with Spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, rivers one BBQ. Great service as usual, good crowd for a Sunday night
Expensive but consistently good. I love the cashew Caesar salad. Delicious. The rock shrimp are huge and super yum! Sashimi is a high grade. My kid loves the sliders and the husband always happy with the sea bass.
Absolutely loved this place! We waited about 20 mins to be seated but it was worth the wait! Our waiter was so pleasant, and the food was delicious! I will definitely be back.
Love Toku ! Food and ambiance are always on point . One of my favorites in the area .
Amazing as always. No complaints.
New Year’s Eve
Great service. Awesome cosmo. Good food. We were seated in a booth as requested. Nice vibe.
We took my parents, who rarely eat anything but Chinese food, here for Christmas Eve dinner, and they loved it. We Irish mother in law, who also loves Chinese food, also joined us and she raved about the food and service. We started with the edamame, rock shrimp tempura, shrimp dumplings, lamb spare ribs, gyoza, chicken ramen, kobe beef shishito peppers (though there was no beef) and teriyaki sliders. In hindsight, we should have also ordered the Riverstone BBQ as the table next to us ordered it and it looked delicious. However, for 6 people, this was plenty for us to share. My father ordered the roasted lobster, and he could barely finish his entree. My mother thoroughly enjoyed her skirt steak, and my son and I each got the filet of beef (I loved the mushroom ragout). My wife ordered the Ja Jaing Mein and lucky for me, she couldn't finish it and it turned out to be an awesome reheated breakfast the next day. My daughter loved the Geisha roll, and my mother in law couldn't get enough of the shrimp pilaf. The food is very good, but it is very, very pricey for Asian food. I've catered Christmas eve dinner for 20 people for what we paid for 6 here. But, it's worth the occasional splurge for food this good.
We are frequent quests. As always - Food is excellent. Service on point. Must have spicy tuna with chips!
Loved the food. Service was iffy, at times amazing and than at times my waiter disappeared for 10 minutes. Overall coming back many times in the future.
Great experience and ambiance especially for birthday celebration
Food and ambience are great! The service was friendly, but not very aware when we wanted to pay the check promptly.
