Great service and even better food! Been to Toku many times, it never EVER disappoints!
One of my favorite restaurants. Having said that, the managers need to instruct the bus boys not to grab dishes off the table while people are still eating! I literally, had my dish taken out from underneath me while I had a mouth full of food in it. They definitely need to be instructed on proper serving ways. I hope this message gets to the proper person because it is an ongoing problem there and has been since the day they opened. Otherwise, the food is always good and they do try to service you quickly and efficiently.
James was awesome! Drinks were amazing. We had such a good time!
We ordered the rainbow roll, it was not good and felt really cheap, even through it was pricey.
As a woman in her 60's I found Toku to be a little too young and trendy for me. Music a little too loud and a little too busy. Food was good, presentation was excellent. Actually enjoyed the desert better than the meal. I would recommend to family and friends that they should dine there at least once for there own experience and opinion.
Incredible food.. server is great! However it took management 30 minutes for us to be waited on until I asked! Once we got our waiter he was wonderful!
The tall hostess at the entrance with a ponytail was very rude.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food, all worth the price! Our server Maggie was so kind and helpful in every way. Go here!!
Pretty setting but food is overrated. Angry Chicken is a cold dish oversaturated in sauce. The waiter should have informed me it was a "cold dish." Hot and sour soup was same as a local Chinese restaurant ,just three times as expensive . Short ribs same as my mom's pot roast. Sorry but food didn't cut it but yes setting is "tres Jolie ."
This establishment is always on point! They never miss. From the. Cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees. Everything was great! If you e never tried this wonderful restaurant, you must do so! We’ll be back again and again.
First time dining out since COVID and the restaurant had tables properly distanced. There’s outdoor and indoor seating available. Reservation is a must for this restaurant. Food was good and the service was amazing.
Another special meal at Toku. The staff is working very hard to keep things safe and clean while making the whole experience enjoyable. We appreciated all the safety measures as well as your normal high level of service!
Great service!! So happy with everything!
Birthday, the food was outstanding as always. Our server was friendly and service was excellent.
As always, the experience was exceptional. From the food, to service etc.
Never disappoints!!! Favorite restaurant on Long Island!
Always amazing !!! Our waitress Brie was amazing !!
The waiter didn’t come to our table soon enough and got alittle to close
Amazing food, atmosphere, service! Had a fantastic meal and great memories celebrating my birthday!
Always excellent service. Food was good. Drinks are overpriced.
Loved out waitress besides great service she recommended some really wonderful dishes.
Always a great meal at Toku
AWESOME food and AWESOME service.
Always a great meal. Great ambiance. A favorite of ours for years.
Always an awesome dining experience at Toku Modern Asian!
Food was very good, but the service was really bad.
This was probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. We couldn't decide what to order, so we asked our server Phil to order for us. He asked us what we liked and didn't like and took it from there. Everything was AMAZING!! Phil had chosen perfectly. He also recommended drinks that were absolutely TO DIE FOR! I would eat here every night if I could!!
We wanted to order all the menu
I have always enjoyed going to Toku; however, when I went with my friend last Sunday, I was surprisingly disappointed. Not only was the restaurant more crowded than I thought was reasonable, the main reasons I enjoy going there, the food and the service, were not what I had come to expect. Both my chicken dish and the short ribs had great flavor, but the meats themselves were tough and chewy, like they were left too long under the heat before being served. My friend and I also felt rushed. I understand the staff wants to turn over the table quickly, but the price I paid for the meal did not warrant the staff coming by every five minutes to remove a lates from which we were still eating. I really hope this experience was an isolated experience.
The hostess ignored us for too long, the waiter took too long to take our order, the check took too long and there are way too many people in this restaurant. Attitude during covid isnt working for me!
Beautiful place to day drink & relax. Call an Uber, grab your wallet & somebody you love to hang out with and go. The sake sangria will take you to the place you were supposed to be if not for C-19.
I would go back. Service was excellent . Guy with the beard. Good dude.
Sat outside at a great table. Service is always perfect at Toku. I’m not a big fan of duck therefore I did it love the duck salad. The sea bass was excellent but for $39 the portion is small- they could spring for a few more ounces. Overall a wonderful place.
Excellent restaurant with amazing food, great service , wonderful ambience. I would return there in a heartbeat!
The sushi was terrible, definitely not worth the price.
Toku has always been one of our favorites and this last visit totally missed the mark. One of the things I enjoy most are the amazing drinks here, however a couple weeks ago they had lost their liquor license. Not a deal breaker for me.... if anything I thought this would make them to step it up a notch on their food. Nope. All of our favorite dishes, which are usually wonderful....the crispy rice, rock shrimp, the sliders and Kung-Pao chicken were seriously lacking. The sesame tuna was a weird color and inedible. What was even more disturbing was the fact that the guys working there would just hang out and stare at your table and grab your dish as soon as your fork went down. We had to remind them about 4 times that we were not finished. The dessert had a lot to be desired as well. A small microwaved brownie with a "melon ball" sized scoop of ice cream for $15. The ice cream had to have been sitting in the freezer for a year, as every bite I took was chips of ice. Our waiter was very nice and pleasant. We could've had such a better meal elsewhere. $350 for a rushed and lackluster meal. Unfortunately, I'm in no rush to return.
