First time diners and it was a great experience. We were ending up a few days on our boat and decided to celebrate the end of our cruise. We'll definitely be back!
Food was delicious, well presented and each dish had a unique twist. Wine selection was not what we have come to expect of a restaurant of this caliber. Service was attentive without being overbearing or pushy. Overall, a good experience
Food, service, ambiance were impeccable as always!
Perfect as always
It has been a while since we visited this restaurant. Food & service were as good as we remembered. The remodeling of the dining room was disappointing. All ambience was lost and the wall created to make function space looked like a construction site and the dining room felt like a closet.
Great food. Server was new and seemed to still be learning but overall was a great experience.
Saleema was a fabulous server. She was attentive and charismatic but not overbearing. Our food was delicious. I had the special Halibut which was fabulous. We all shared the bread basket and Pittsburgh Pierogies which were also outstanding. This was our second time dining here and it has been consistently impressive both times.
Great food, AMAZING service. Could not have been better!!!
Did an early dinner on a Saturday night and my son ordered a Capt Morgan and coke. He ordered a second and was told, nonchalantly, that they were.out of Capt Morgan. The waiter also said one of the Saturday specials only had one left. I could understand if it were the end of the evening, but running out of stuff that early was frustrating.
Delicious inventive dishes. Warm, knowledgeable foodie servers. Atmosphere fancy, but not stuffy.
We got together with friends for dinner and to catch up post COVID. What a treat! Service was great, thanks John. Drinks were perfect and our appetizers and dinner were all wonderful . We shared oysters, calamari and foie gras starters. We each enjoyed our entrees scallops, blue fin ettoufee, pork chop and filet mignon. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We finished with a delicious strawberry trifle. Atmosphere was relaxing enough to allow for great conversation. Truly a great experience at Todd Jurich’s Bistro can’t wait to return
The food lived up to Todd's reputation for excellence. The service was attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive. The wine list was impressive and relatively reasonably priced.
Food was slightly above average. Service was terrible. We ordered the bread basket. It came with hard, ice cold butter and we had to ask for bread plates. I ordered an old fashioned. It was $15 and was watered down and pretty bad. Our server brought us containers so we could box up our leftovers. This is not normally a problem. But for a $200 meal for 3 people, I expected much better service. 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, the $6 bread basket, and 3 entrees was $200. For the quality of the food and the service, it should have been about half that.
Exquisite dinner oysters, halibut, etc. superior service
Food was excelent. We divide the crab cakes and the portion were very generous.
Birthday dinner date with a friend who had never been. She had scallops that were very fresh and I had Crabcakes with bacon slaw, homemade chip, and rémoulade that were delicious and very filling.
No desert that night. The dozen raw oysters from Delaware, the 3 large fried shrimp with Martha sauce, and the bread basket were great choices to start. We had a very floral Sauvignon Blanc in generous pours and I added a Varner Foxglove 2010 Zinfandel to finish.
Hint: dress to the 9's and tale a forever picture across the street at the Battleship USS WISCONSIN.
Delicious food, great service; looking forward to going back!
Service was impeccable, as always. They take real pride in their food and wine selections. Their appetizers are particularly inventive and diverse. Always a reliable choice for impressing a business client - or a date!
The food was great and our server was terrific. But the seat in the booth was so low I could barely eat comfortably. Also, the music was not one that was neutral or pleasing to us and we found it affected the ambiance of the dining experience. The bar scene was really hopping with lots of people crammed in, which may explain the focus of this place. We would not recommend dining in to this establishment....even though we really liked the food. For the price of our meal we felt we could have had as good a meal but with a more positive experience.
Everything was great as usual!!
Service, friendliness, and most importantly the food was perfect.
Excellent variety on the menu. Top quality meats and fish. Outstanding service.
Always perfect at Bistro
Perfect Dinner with wife and friends. Great hospitality and service. Food was amazing!
The food is always excellent and made with fresh ingredients. The service is attentive and professional.
It was a pretty great experience overall. The cost seems a tad bit high but the quality of food was pretty amazing. I would give 4/5 stars. The service was standard, we had to ask for drink menus which wasn’t a big deal. The portion size was very small, which made us feel like the cost was outrageous. But I would definitely be back for a very special occasion.
The bartender immediately welcomed us at the booth on the side. He had a sparkle in his eye and went over menu options guiding us towards what our vibe was feeling, and one of us wanted fancy risotto and one of us wanted a burger. They both came out perfection. The drinks were expertly made and quickly. We never felt neglected. Parking is an issue but it’s down town so what are you gonna do. I’ll be coming back. And I hope I keep getting that same service and that same bartender. He’s gold. Service since covid has been crap but this place still knows how to do business while easily following the rules.
Honestly, I was quite disappointed. Had dined here years ago and it was superb. This time it was mediocre. My appetizer was delicious but presentation was fair. My fish entree tasted like the fish was frozen, the flavor was fair, and it was lukewarm. For $300 for 4 people, I think we could have gotten a bread basket without paying for it. The sorbet for dessert tasted like ice. I will not be returning.
First time here. Wanted to have a great date night and this place based off the reviews checked off everything we were looking for. When we arrived we had reservations, the hosted acted like they couldn't find our reservation. We were sat in the back area away from everyone almost in an area where we couldn't be seen unless you sat back there. Took about 15 minutes before someone addressed us. No chef specials were mentioned nor was any recommendations off the menu was offered. I ordered the scallops and had my mouth sat on them. Waited almost 20 minutes before someone came to tell me they ran out of scallops... how can a top seller item run out??? So I had to settle for another menu item. I asked if they had shrimp and if they could grill them just like the scallops since they didn't have anymore. Was told yes they could make it the same but have shrimp instead. Finally got my food and of course it was completely wrong. Not even close to what I ordered. I had to wait again for my food after my husband had received his and was halfway done before I got mine. Once I got it my shrimp were severely overcooked. So disappointing after being told what I originally ordered they were out of. No manager ever came to our table to apologize at all. Not sure if we would be returning after spending$125 and didn't even get what I ordered.
Unfortunately, even with reservations, we were seated in an open area near the front door, vice the more secluded dining area, which was far more desirable. However, I also understand the governor mandated restrictions placed on the establishment, probably had something to do with what seating was available. Overall, our waiter, Wilson, was superb, and the food was excellent.
First visit to the Bistro in several years. Service was slower than I remembered but I think our server was balancing a lot of tables. Food was delicious but main courses were small, hence I rated value as a 3. My fish was a quite a small portion for the price. Still tasty and would go back.
Bartender was off putting and seemed really out of place wearing a tank top where you could see her bra and work out pants. It’s seemed like everything was annoying her. We had such a great first experience here the first time we came back twice in one night! And this ruined it for us
I've been going to Todd Jurich's Bistro since it was on York Street. I've never been disappointed.
Valet parked our vehicle right up front, we were seated quickly, the table was clean, the server was excellent, the food was outstanding and we will be back!
Always great food and service, and so too on this visit. Fewer specials than I recall from previous visits, but still great selections.
Our dinner was great. Our server made sure we wanted for nothing. I requested a wedge salad with changes and it was the best! The bar side was boisterous, but, who was complaining, it felt like we were getting back to “normal” after a year of not dining out much. We will be back. Thank you.
Upon arrival, we were given the only window seat. Which is a lovely oversized booth. We all commented on the appealing ambiance and menu selections. We ordered drinks and the bread basket. Everyone enjoyed something from the bread basket, but sadly this was the best food we got. The tuna poke was a disappointing with fatty tuna and an unappealing presentation. My husband’s scallops were so salty that he was choking them down. (Ironically he is the one who always asks for salt). My sons steak was swimming in some kind of white sauce. While my crab cakes were stuffed with lump crab, the plate itself was uninspired...with 6 potato chips and some mediocre coleslaw. My daughter ate her tiny piece of overpriced salmon but left the over cooked squishy bok choy and the two oily dumplings that they brought over after the fact. Overall way overpriced. This foodie family won’t be making a visit here again.
The food and atmosphere were fine, but nothing incredible. The host was quite rude and indifferent to guests (making loud phone calls and combative with guests asking questions about table spacing due to Covid, etc.) My server was attentive and professional. The cocktails were well-crafted.
Great restaurant, my second visit and it was just as good as my first visit!
We like the ambiance and decor. Food was great. We had a quiet booth and enjoyed the experience.
Amazing atmosphere and great menu wonderful customer service and exceptional valet!!
