Cool atmosphere as food comes from a variety of open food prep areas. We enjoyed the flatbread pizzas, Tuna and Chicken Tacos, Lobster Mac and Cheese. All very good. Fun place to come w friends especially tourists. The rest of the Plaza is nice to see as well.
Good food good service but a bit pricey.
Fun, a little busy.
Great open market feel, fantastic array of food choices and the service goes out of its way to impress. Not enough stars to bestow on the experience!
Waiter a little rud.
A wonderful evening of family, great food and good service, all hidden under the fabulous Plaza Hotel.
The place is spectacular the food is amazing! Some of the prices are a little bananas but others are more than reasonable. Regardless - it’s totally worth it! It’s the Plaza and it’s delightful! Plus the staff is amazing 😉
We were able to get a table within 15 minutes of reserving online. The service was amazing and the food was fabulous!
I had two bookings on Saturday as had many guests over from Europe , lunchtime was fine but at dinner
at 6:30 we were given a table where five of us sat in a row as if we were in a school classroom . We
were with visiting family we had not seem for 6 months and we could not even communicate. I complained to the manage and asked to be moved as I saw free tables and the manager in charge showed absolutely no care or empathy with my request and just said the tables were booked. How can you offer a table at dinner where everyone sits a row as if you are in a school lecture hall. We are very regular customers at Todd English but Saturday evening was so disappointing as the manager showed absolutely no interest in our request and had already said no before I has finished my sentence. Absolutely dreadful customer service.
The food is wicked good, portions for the tasting menu are small and too expensive. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good meal at somewhat reasonable price.
I ate the worst seared tuna I have ever had. It was awful.
We had a 7pm reservation at the restaurant, Happy Hour was advertised 5-7pm as 2 for 1 drinks wine and cocktails but when we arrived at 5:30-6 the barmaid said it was just for wine and Prosecco and when questioned she said she would give us the choice of two cocktails in the happy hour special like she was doing us a favor. She gave us mediocre service, then 3 other friends showed up and their experience was worse. The hostess then came up to us at 6:15-30ish to seat us at the table and when we said we were staying at happy hour til the end, she said it was over we said no, she had to go check what time happy gory was officially over bc she didn't know off hand. She cane back apologized and we went back to her at 7.
When we were seated, we had a nice, funny, professional waiter and he was helpful as he could.
The food was amazing! That is why I would go back, the only reason why!
High end food court, similar feeling to Grand Central market food court area.
We live across the street from The Plaza, so Todd English is a regular dining spot for us. The good is always well prepared, fresh, and good quality. Today the fried chicken sandwich was delicious as was the pizza.
The experience at the Todd English Food Hall is not like most restaurants. I made a reservation for three, which the facility readily accepted and called the same day to confirm. But when we arrived five minutes before the reservation, we were told the restaurant wasn't ready and would need 10 minutes. Then the maitre 'd attempted to seat us at the bar, saying the tables are intended for groups of six. He relented, but he made us feel as if we were putting the restaurant out. Our server was very attentive, which my group feel a bit more comfortable. The food was ok, even though it arrived at different times for each member of our party. My conclusion: If you are intent on dining here, don't bother with the restaurant area. Just go to the self-serve area.
It was alittle loud and the tables are not conducive to table top conversation.
Food was good.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Todd English at The Plaza Food Hall. The menu had a lot of variety and the food was excellent. The atmosphere is fun too. And very pleasant service as well. We will be back!
Another great lunch at TE. Has been a favorite stop of ours when in the city for years now. Thanks!
I could not wait to try this place. It did not disappoint, I had the scallops and short ribs and my friend had the paella. Both delicious and so fresh! I was a bit thrown by the community high top seating but after a while I didn’t care. Unusual set up for the US like you’re sitting in a food market, but it was fine. Will definitely go back!
We popped into Todd English Food Hall for a quick bite after work. The cheese plate was phenomenal, we even ate all the plums! I ordered the lamb flat bread, which is slightly spicy but delicious, while my companion ordered the lobster mac and cheese. We were pleasantly surprised that the portion sizes are larger than we had expected and we were both able to leave with left overs.
Went back for the second night & had another great meal with the delightful bartender Shaun . He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and very friendly . What a great asset to this restaurant ! Very professional !
Food was terrific
So good that I am going again tonight !! My dinner date fell ill so I thought that I would go back to Todd English at the Plaza again. I will probably have exactly the same, the Greek salad with salmon plus the Margarita was fantastic also !
Went for Restaurant Week. The portions were like off the regular menu not a prix fix - very generous. All three courses were delicious - burrata salad with beets, spicy prawns over polenta, and opera cake. I will go back for next Restaurant Week if not sooner.
Yummy food, never disappointed. You have to absolutely try the asian chicken salad, delicious!!!
Perfect casual meal in NYC .
I love the menu.. I can always find something delicious ..
We had the chicken stir fry and the bolognese ..
With pink champagne . Perfect meal on a cold day
Not sure what to say, it was pk
We went late on a Thursday night, it was very quiet, the food was undercooked and the service was very slow and not very polished.
It’s a big menu, but everything is delicious. My favorite is the tuna burger, a site of truffle tater tots, and an iced tea.
Great food. A bit pricey but expected for NYC and The Plaza
We had eaten here on Friday night and had the best experience. Best server the night before. alas, service was horrible on Saturday night. Food was equally as good as Friday though. I tell everyone to go here when in nyc. I wish I knew mane of our fantastic server on fri night. He was the best. The Saturday night waiter wasn’t great at all- had to ask other server for a water refill and another for check. Good server from Friday should be rewarded. I’m sure his tips reflect his efforts-mine did.
Unimpressive cocktail, bland service, tired facility. Yet another example of a diluted brand with no leadership
Great lobster sliders, very good burger, very good service, would go back again.
Fantastic food and best sever!!! So good that we returned the following night. But alas, service was horrible the following night. Food was equally as good though. I tell everyone to go here when in nyc. I wish I knew mane of our fantastic server this night. He was the best.
The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was good. My burger was perfectly cooked and the truffle tater tots were delicious. I like the feel of this place - casual and yet sophisticated.
This restaurant never disappoints. Consistently excellent.
We have been dining at Todd English for years. The pizzas are excellent and the hamburger and parmigiana fries are great too. Good service and a very nice place to eat!
My only complaint is that the entrees don't come out at the same time and if you want to wait for your dining partner your food may sit there for a while.
Hidden gem in NYC. I would definitely return.
Upscale food court with better selections. Convenient to shopping
Despite booking through open table and having a confirmation number the restaurant could not find our booking. We were seated at one of the bars. The bar man was attentive and very personable. We ordered a cheese and meat platter which was very good but we were disappointed that it wasn’t served with fresh bread or biscuits. The restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere
