Food was great! What ups defiantly go back again!
Hostess and Host can use a little training in customer service. After checking in with my reservation, the hostess had me and my party wait to the side while she sat several walk up customers. Overall it was a good experience and I would come back.
Mother daughter trip
Service was a little slow but it was also very busy .. I would love to come Back!
Amazing food and ambience!
Given that this restaurant is located in the Plaza Hotel, you would expect quality and a good dining experience; not so. This “food hall” atmosphere means there are 7 different kitchens. While that lends to a large menu, it also creates a wide gap in time between plates coming out. We had a party of 6 and one person got his food first and others did not get theirs until well over 35 mins later. The waiter never explained this to us and was very short with his responses when questioned. The manager was not very sympathetic either although he did take off the bill the dishes that were late. Consider the many other restaurant choices in the area before this one.
Good (variety) of food, casual atmosphere - the sashimi (sushi) was fresh/good portions. Seafood tower was awesome. Perfect brunch/lunch spot for our group!
Would not recommend. I had a reservation for two, arrived early and was seated by the host. The restaurant was completely empty due to a private party that had just finished before my reservation so we were the only two in the restaurant along with two other groups. We waited 15 minutes before a server finally came over to get us water. Waited another 15 minutes before they returned. We asked for their happy hour menu that we found on their website and they said that they don't do that in December (then take it off your website or make a note because it was the only reason we chose that restaurant in the first place). We continued to experience horrible service while we watched our waiter cater to a larger group that would likely be spending more money than just us two. The food was very average. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Bustling and modern. High communal tables. Nice size portions, although pricey for typical fare. Unfortunately dishes are not served at same time, even for a group of three. And our cocktails, which we ordered first, arrived more than half way through our meal. I would return if in the neighborhood, but would not order a drink.
Our waiter was so rude and barely even spoke to us apart from to take our order... When the food came out mine came out and my other half's didn't come out for another 10 minutes the food was great but service terrible! Once we finished our meal our waiter was stood talking to someone else for a while before taking our plates once he did he didn't ask how the food was just simply handed us the desert menu! Not impressed with a restaurant that's supposed to be in a luxury hotel!!!
It was delightful and fun. The food was good at a reasonable price. We will definitely go back.
Spending time with our daughter.
Came for the holiday season ! Had a great dinner with my 7 and 10 year old boys. Food came out quick and was delicious. Service top notch. High top tables only.
The food was decent. They were out of several things. Food was served at completely different times (some meals almost 5 minutes before others). And we felt rushed. Otherwise ok. Better food in NY for the $.
I wanted so much to like this place but it was rather disappointing. The waiters were rushing us every step of the way, and we later understood why - they close super early. We went for Thanksgiving dinner with 530p reservations and we weren't really able to take our time or enjoy ourselves. It was rush, rush rush... the duck confit flat bread was delicious and the faux-Mojitos were SO yummy - I had 3. The main dish was so lackluster. My plate just looked brown and dull. The brussel sprouts were so overcooked, mushy and brown - I didn't eat them. The turkey was very dry. The stuffing was very dry and brown. And even the cranberry sauce was a dull shade of dark red. It tasted semi-good. The desserts were SO nice. The sweet potato pie was delicious. They did forget my ice cream but probably didn't need the calories. All in all, not horrible but probably won't go again. Probably should have ordered the burger.
Service was extremely slow. Turkey was bland and dry. Many items on the menu were sold out by 4pm. Would not recommend this as a place to go.
The food hall is has high quality food. The service in this particular instance was overwhelmed. I had to ask numerous people for water and clean silver wear. The server forgot our drinks. I would still go back knowing that you get really good food but mediocre service.
The food was excellent and the service prompt and attentive. The major drawback is lack of good seating. We had to sit at the bar.
Love the upbeat ambiance in Todd English. They also have a ton of delicious food options.
I enjoyed my brunch here at the Todd English the staff, the food it was a wonderful afternoon . I have one complaint do not let patrons walk in with their dogs I love my German Shepherds but the restaurant is not a place for them and before you think it it was not a seeing eye service dog. People should respect that dogs don't belong at restaurants
Great food. Service was a little slow this time as I’m a regular customer and this has never happened. Must be because of the busy holiday season. Still very friendly though!!!
Always yummy, fast & plenty of selections for everyone.
The hostess and the manager were very rude when we requested not to be squeezed in a corner table.
We were 5 people and instead of giving enough space for 5 on a communal table, they gave us the end of the table and just dragged one more chair at the end of the table and said it’s for 5 people. We complained and refused to sit like that because we knew we were going to order a lot of food and there won’t be enough space to sit like that.
The hostess was extremely rude instead of just asking us to talk to the manager. She obviously had no customer service skills. After we sat down and already ordered the food, the manager came and started explaining the policy for “future” purposes, which just made it even worse.
We love coming there for the food, the wait staff is excellent too, but unfortunately they need some new staff to take care of customer service issues. The whole thing was handled very unprofessionally!!
Lively atmosphere with many diners at lunch. Menu had good variety. The four of us thought our meal was good but nothing special. We all agreed we would not need to go back nor would we recommend it. Our lunch, with one bar drink each, came to about $65 each, including tip.
Food was amazing as always ! Such a wonderful variety .
The front of the house seemed overwhelmed and not able to manage tables based on our 25 minute wait to sit after our reservation. I’m not referring to the wait but the conversation we heard while waiting. The server was not overly attentive and the food was just ok. I am not sure if the kitchen is a scratch kitchen as they didn’t seem to accommodate small adjustments. In addition the room is loud making it difficult to speak with each other and to talk with the server. Overall I wasn’t impressed and will probably not return.
Drab in need of remodel, obviously on last breath, market area dominated by bottled water and drinks a shadow ifsitself. Plus prices way too high for what you get.
Very good! Perfect for family with kids
Come here a lot they were out of slot of items and some of the food wasn’t as fresh as past visits
We were seated at bar with a wonderful view of a person making sushi behind us was a couple with screening children. Really great Slow inattentive service. Welcome to New York
Fun atmosphere and great food!
It has become a little like a neighborhood club- not just for Tourists....usually it looks like people who are there one time, but will never go back...but the other night we were happy to see that there were some
real New Yorkers!
This place has the best GF pizza in NYC! I make sure to go every time I´m in the big apple.
Plenty of choices. Very good food. Attentive service. It works great for groups as each one can ask for what they like best -pasta, meat, fish, sushi, pizza, salad, spicy, burger- and a big etc.
Great service and good food. A fun place to eat in NYC that is not overly expensive.
Probably my fault but not what I expected. Good was good and environment was good.
my favorite place to go in the city. great date spot with a lot of great options and great service. cool ambiance with the different cooking stations
Our waiter Jeffry was attentive and accommodating. The food selection was great. Watching the chef cook my husbands salmon at the grill was fun. Our only big disappointment was the flatbread pizza. We were hungry and tired so we did not send it back. But it was undercooked in the middle and hard to scrape off the wood board. Not what Todd is known for.
