TOCA - Ritz Carlton Toronto Ratings and Reviews
I brought my fiance here for her birthday. First of all, the restaurant has a very nice ambiance and good menu. Going back to the birthday, they ensured we were seated at a very nice table and acknowledged her birthday with a handwritten card. After a great dinner, they brought a beautiful complimentary dessert for us.
They went to great lengths to ensure we had a positive experience and it showed. Definitely will return.
Me and my fiancé really enjoyed our evening at TOCA. I took the SIGNATURE RAVIOLI and my fiancé took the PACCHERI. We also had fingerling potatoes and gnocchi alla romana for sides. Finally, we shared the best chocolate mousse we have eaten. Everything we ordered was perfect except my fiancé's Paccheri pasta. Most of the pasta was perfectly cooked, but unfortunately there were about 4-5 pieces of paccheri pasta that were exceedingly undercooked. Still, the dish was very good overall. We are definitely going back to a ritz-carlton restaurant in Toronto or Montreal!
I had a great birthday dinner here today with my husband to celebrate his birthday. The service was fantastic and the food was as amazing as usual. The seafood risotto, ravioli and the pan seared scallops were the highlight of our dinner. Definitely recommend to all people. When we finished our main courses, the restaurant offered us a surprising desserts plate for my husband (the signature chocolate cake and two macaroni). The overall birthday dinner experience was super than my expectation and we would definitely come back for other occasion dinner. Thank you Toca.
Everything about TOCA was exceptional, from the ambiance to the service, the food to the wine, truly a wonderful long late lunch. The prices are higher than the average lunch spot but I never mind paying full fare for extraordinary food & service. The waiter, busser, hostess & manager made us feel welcome and special from the moment we arrived. I have been saving a gift card for almost a year now to share the experience of the Cheese Cave with my daughter as she has an equal love of cheese. The late afternoon lunch was so much more - our server offered to customize our lunch options so we could both try things we wanted to, the kitchen prepared our meals with care and precision despite our desire to have a little of everything. Ryan offered to take us into the cave and gave us a private 'tour' of the delightful assortment of fine cheeses they have on hand and our server brought in a sample board with a few of those we were being introduced to. We sat and ordered a single cheese board with wine flights and the selections our waiter chose were fabulous, he tailored both the wine to the cheese and to our tastes. I cannot say enough about our visit to TOCA - I will be back without question and I won't wait so long this time. I hope to enjoy one of your events soon and cannot wait to bring more guests as I have no doubt the food and service will continue to deliver at an caliber well above other establishments. Thank you to each of the team last Friday (Dec 29) for making my Mother Daughter day so memorable!
Great night out! Booked a 5:30pm tour of the cheese cave first. Stephanie was amazing treating us so well and later tailoring our tasting menu based on our conversation! How thoughtful - later she comped a special cheese board see pic below - for free! Waiter was also great - down to earth made us feel welcome! Food was good and service was over the top!
Our waiter was great! However, the receptionist ignored us the entire time when we arrived. He was busy serving water and champagne to the other group of guests (happens to be caucasian) since non of the tables were ready for the next turn of guests. My friend and I are Asian, not sure if we’ve expected to encounter racism in a restaurant like this.
Absolutely stunning restaurant and ambiance. The service was strangely like a Chinese restaurant and the food quality was just ‘meh’. It was a disappointing Ritz experience.
I didn’t get why the hostess at the front was picking up phone calls while the guests had to wait around to be seated.
One guest's meal was served luke warm to cold. While offers to create a new dish, this means each guest eating on his own. This just ruins the whole experience. Efforts were made to make up for error. The manager needs to look at the route cause of a dish being served cold in a fine dining establishment like this.
We were very late for our reservation but it was held for us and we were so pleased and starving. Christina really surprised us with a special cheese platter, as we missed the end of our meal . She was very accommodating and professional, just the type of service to keep us coming back again and again. Overall, an excellent experience. Atlanta Buckhead Ritz has a much bigger brunch, with more depth, but Toronto has a cheese cave, keep up the good work!!! Highly recommended
We had the 4 courses tasting menu. It was good but felt not worth the money given that the tasting menu wasn't chef inspired or not on the menu. Basically, looking at the table next to us, they ordered al la cart and they had the same thing we had. Therefore, I would recommend ordering from the menu and save your money by not ordering the tasting menu.
