The food and ambiance here are incredible. The server was attentive but not overbearing. We came here for breakfast and I will definitely be coming back.
Great food and very friendly service. Will return.
The atmosphere is really good. Foods are tasty although its little pricey. Recommend for special occasion.
Outstanding dining experience. Food was amazing - taste, preparation, presentation, all of it! Service was spectacular. Wonderful ambiance. We had an amazing evening with old friends and everyone loved everything they had. Thank you.
Based on previous diners’ reviews, we were looking forward to a wonderful Italian dinner. The TOCA green salad was fresh and nicely dressed. The pasta special, squid ink cavatelli with shrimp and tomatoes featured a lovely sauce, but the cavatelli were dense and chewy, not at all tender as one might expect of fresh pasta. As for the duck filled fagottelli, the pasta was quite nice, but the sauce had a peculiar dark, almost burnt taste to it, again, not the deep, rich flavor one might expect from a duck au jus. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Cremeux with Passionfruit Sauce and Bitter Cacao Powder Gelato. What had the potential to be an outstanding dessert ended up being very tiny portions of each component -a minuscule slice of dry chocolate pastry, a teaspoon of passionfruit and less than a teaspoon of gelato - for $14! The sommelier was very helpful and the wine selection extensive. With two disappointing pastas and a less-than-memorable dessert, I would not return to this restaurant. There are plenty of other Italian eateries with excellent and much more reasonably priced menus.
I can not believe they got rid of the morning breakfast buffet. I am so incredibly disappointed - it was an amazing selection offered week days which really made this place the ultimate spot for breakfast meetings.
I ordered off the menu and the quality just wasn’t here.
We won’t be back (unless the buffet returns).
Toca was a great preshow choice and the food and service were great - we liked the option of ordering a smaller portion which was appropriate for my wife after we shared an appetizer. We were also provided with a complimentary dessert which was a nice surprise. We will definitely return here again.
Style over substance
I would like to come back here again. Thank you so much!!!
Fantastic Service, high quality food and drinks and great value!
I enjoyed the atmosphere but dound the salad salty and the chicken for my main course a little dry
Great service and excellent food!
Phenomenal in every way
We celebrated our 35th anniversary here and it was a wonderful meal with excellent service.
We both enjoyed our food choices and the sommelier suggested an excellent wine as an accompaniment.
Great experience. Wonderful food. Wonderful service.
Food, and service were impeccable. The food was phenomenal ... seafood bar, rib roast, etc...
I didn't ask her name but her service is wonderful and the food, drinks recommended by her was fabulous.
It was a wonderful experience with phenomenal staff that go out of their way to even alter the menu to make exactly what you are in the mood for!!
Our anniversary celebration was a huge success!!!! And very memorable! We would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with a refined pallet.
We have had many excellent meals at TOCA but this one was truly outstanding. Everything came together from start to finish. Our mains were Patagonian toothfish where was cooked to perfection. Beautiful subtle preparation with brought out melt-in-your-mouth texture and flavours of the fish. This dish is simply "Wow" good. We had an order of the market vegetables which were so yummy. The post-mains cheese and wine so thoughtfully selected and were a wonderful finish to the evening. The interesting selections which left us with long lingering memories of the meal, cheese and wine.
Edo, the sommelier, has provided wine advice on several occasions. His wine recommendations are always excellent. The wine recommendation to accompany the Patagonian toothfish was magic. Not only are Edo's recommendations always spot on, he is very personable and passionate about wine. He adds the "magic" to the meals.
Our server Felix provided excellent professional service.
The dinner was an outstanding combination of food, service and wine. If you have not been to TOCA yet, you have experience it.
We always love Toca and come as often as we can ! Amazing food, incredible wine, and excellent excellent service !
We were both very pleased with all aspects of our meals. It was a great dining experience.
Service was slow..big gap between starter and main course
Brilliant evening. Service received from Felix was very much appreciated. He made some excellent suggestions that we enjoyed very much. Ambience was smooth and comfortable, loved the feature of the 'Cheese Cave'. Food was delicious and after dinner complimentary liquor was a nice touch. It exceeded expectations and set the tone for a beautiful night.
We enjoyed our dinner and Toca has nice ambiance. Service was very good. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.
Birthday celebration. No compliment drinks/cakes like fairmont hotel. Not that good as we expected
Blended service flowed nicely. Everyone extremely friendly. Relaxed vibe. Attentive staff. Steaks were okay. No complaints.
We went for breakfast. The food was excellent, fruits and vegetables were really fresh, and pastries were very delicious. The service was good as usual. Overall it was a great experience for us.
As before, we loved the food and service here. We wanted to introduce our friends to the restaurant, and they were not disappointed. Everything was delicious, and the only thing I would say is that the prices are a little bit high, so that makes it a special occasion restaurant; but we had a wonderful time and will come here again for sure :-)
Fabuloso servicio y el brunch delicioso; excelente servicio, siempre tendras mimosas!
Needed a quiet spot away from the convention center for a business discussion. The restaurant was not busy and they gave us a nice niche table for 6 in a semi private area which was appreciated, unfortunately the area seems to be an echo chamber and one could not hear a cross table conversation . Wait service started out great and then disappeared , I had to pay the bill on the way out as we could not locate our server. Food was excellent but ambiance was major disappointment ,
Absolutely amazing, we had a blast
I came here for Saturday brunch for my birthday with my close friends and family. It's located inside the Ritz Carlton on the upper main floor. There's a large staircase in the lobby leading to the restaurant. The service is amazing, international and light Italian food is delicious, unique and perfectly portioned, it's reasonably priced with the Saturday brunch prix fix menu. I'd recommend coming here for casual brunch or an occasion brunch with the prix fix menu! I'd come back to try their Sunday $85/89 brunch and their dinner menu next time.
I'd go back on a busy night for their dinner, it was great service, consistent refills on water and mimosa's, I'd love to see a bit more variety on the menu, but I'd bring a group of friends or family back here again. The prix fix menu is MUCH better than paying the $32 or $25 per dish, when you can try more items for the same price and get your money's worth!
As always, the service stands out! Such fantastic service.
I intially picked Toca based on location. I was taking my mom to the ballet and Toca is a perfect distance from The Four Seasons Centre.
It was my moms birthday and they went above and beyond. The service was friendly and very down to earth.
I would highly recommend
Ps. The cheese cave is really neat and for a cheese lover like my mom it was great that we had a great view of it from our table
Great all around experience!
We had brunch there on a Saturday afternoon. Food and service were excellent. If you really want a $1,000 bottle of wine for brunch, they have it. It is in the Ritz and so you will pay a extra for that but service was great. Only drawback is that the restaurant is tucked in on the second floor and so doesn't have much natural light. Everything else was outstanding.
The staff are exceptional in their attentiveness without intrusiveness. The cuisine is extraordinarily good and the atmosphere is subdued and elegant. We have been coming for a while now, as we are from Toronto, but are especially looking forward to bringing a very sophisticated friend on April 9 for his first visit. We know he will love it, as we do.
Great meal tonight. Very friendly and accommodating staff who moved us to a quieter spot away from a group of conventioneers having a good time. Meal service was impeccable. Sommelier helped with the wine selection and made a great suggestion. All courses were great - especially the house specialty ravioli- highly recommended!! We’ll be back!!
I ordered a French omelette and was disappointed with what was served to me on the plate. I can make it better at home. But the side of asparagus/tomato/potato it came with was quite delicious.
