Sat outside, it was a beautiful night, great drinks and appetizers, meals were good, service was great.
Food was so so...stale burger bun...and the spread on the charcuterie board seemed like it had been sitting out for a long time...not appetizing at all.
The staff all but kicked us out promptly at closing, they turned on bright lights like a nightclub, to get us all out of there.
It wasn't a good experience at all. And please don't blame Covid. #noexcuses
Great service. First time traveling for work since March. Hotel and restaurant felt clean and safe. Everyone was kind and food was terrific. Had Kale salad, beets and fish... all were delicious.
Would definitely go back next time I am in Detroit

We were quickly seated outside at socially distanced tables as requested. All staff wore masks & followed safety protocols. We felt comfortable & relaxed & enjoyed a phenomenal meal. Wait staff gave us excellent food recommendations, cocktail recommendations & wine pairings. This was my first on-site dining experience since COVID & I will definitely return.

Been going here for years, but hadn't been there in a year or so. Everything was great except our Bloody Mary's. In the past they came with bacon, pickles and olives in a seasoned rimmed glass with a beer chaser. It was awesome!! Now they come in a boring glass, vodka on the top, not stirred, and garnished with an olive and lime. Boo! Please bring back the old version. Other then that we loved it!

Nice atmosphere- good drinks! Food was only okay. I got the 10 oz blade steak and the texture of the meat was a bit mushy and there was a decent amount of fat and grizzle. Kinda pricy for this cut of steak. The frites that accompanied the steak were also boring and not hot- they reminded me of Arby’s fries that have been left out to long. The mushroom soup was the only real desirable part of the meal.
Enjoyed the meal. Was a bit disappointed that they ran out of the duck entree. We went there specifically for the duck.

We spent two days at the Baronette Hotel celebrating a friend’s birthday. We were able to enjoy a snack and drinks at the bar during happy hour after we checked in. Bartender Johnny gave us excellent service and was knowledgeable of the menu as well as specialty drinks and wine. Dinner was delicious ! Our server Sue was wonderful. Dessert for my friend was complimentary.
Next morning for breakfast our server Tim helped us make our choices. Delicious ! Decided to relax with mimosas and bloody Mary’s. Later we were back for happy hour where bartender Kristina served us a beautiful charcuterie tray for our dinner. She assisted in picking a wine from the market for me to bring home. This restaurant keeps letting me down. The service the last 7 months have been horrible. The servers are just not good at all. Okay, to be fair all the girl servers I have had have been slow, unfriendly and just plain bad. I have to take a hiatus from this place. Sad

I ordered the steak with brussel sprouts. My steak came out warm, not hot and was already cut into strips so it became cold quickly. The steak was very fatty and the brussel sprouts were overcooked and very salty. I expected more for the cost of the meal.

I had dinner with my brother and mother on Saturday evening. We had a 6:15pm reservation and were not seated until 6:40. A server did not come to our table to bring us water or take a drink order until I went up to the hostess booth and complained. By the time we got our entrees -keep in mind we only ordered Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer- it was 8:30! The fish was subpar and the plating/presentation of the fish was very poor, both in flavor profile and Aesthetics.
There was a wedding reception happening behind closed doors, not thirty feet from our table. The noise level was ridiculous and forced the three of us to nearly shout in order to be heard.
Lastly, as someone who works in the wine and spirits industry as a consultant and has several restaurants for clients, the prices by the glass and in their wine market were incredibly gouged. It should be mentioned that many of the higher end bottles were from off-vintages and still over priced.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone nor will I ever be returning.

We were very disappointed as this used to be a favorite. Came for a birthday dinner and the large charcuterie platters are gone and our server did not seem to know anything about the menu. Dinner took 3 hours.

This was a Valentines Day weekend brunch with my girlfriend so it was special. The Toasted Oak is one of my go to’s for brunch and never disappoints. I really enjoyed my Duck bowl and cocktail. Keep up the great work!!!

The food was not okay terrible but 2/4 of our meals was cold, along with the coffee. It took two hours for brunch and not by our own fault. We had to remind our waiter about drinks and part of our meal, as they never came. Terrible experience, we will never go back.

The restaurant was extremely loud for dinner. A couple drunks at the table next to us was over the top. I’d hoped they’d be asked to quiet down but the staff never did. The food took quite some time to get. I don’t mind a causal dining pace but it was 2hrs overall.

This was a very disappointing experience. We were looking forward to a great valentine's day dinner and in our opinion some. Of the dishes we ordered were un eatible. Our meal began with a Charcuterie boart that was fantastic!. This lead to a kale salad that was pungent a 30 minute wait for our meal and then dry aged beef that was funky..at best and was simpley not good and went uneaten. We also ordered a pasta dish that was clearly over worked pasta dough that was not completely cooked in an attempt at aldente and had no flavor. This restaurants attempt to be creative and farm to table ...lacks execution.

It wasn't crowded but my table waited almost 40 minutes for food that came out lukewarm. My husband asked for butter that he never got. My duck was burnt. The table behind sat longer than we did without food before deciding to leave. I'm disappointed because the dinner we had there was phenomenal which is what prompted this vist for brunch. Never again.
