   I like TJ's but this night there was hardly any fish in the enchilada's! I had been there two weeks earlier and had an amazing experience and hooped to repeat it but there was hardly any fish. I actually had to try to scrape fish up from the tortilla. I will not be going back.

   For the most part, the food was delicious and the ambiance was nice. However, I would not recommend the smoked salmon appetizer…the salmon was very dry and chopped up (almost as if it was made from leftover pieces) and did not compare to salmon appetizers I’ve had at other restaurants.

    A Saturday evening dinner with friends. Restaurant was full at 7:00 and lots of conversations were ongoing. If you want a quieter time, try a later reservation. When we left, there were empty tables. Service was attentive but we were not rushed. Server was knowledgeable about the menu. Wine was well priced. Food - portion size was proper and seasoning was great. We have never had a bad meal there.

    Loved the halibut: beautiful presentation on mashed potatoes. Served with steamed summer & zucchini squash. Will pass on the roasted parmesan brussel sprouts in the future: overly roasted. Our server, Jennifer, was very nice. Her support team made sure our water glasses were always full.

    Food was good but am disappointed. Best Shrimp cocktail in Dallas? I don't think so, we stated on the Open table that it was our4 7th anniversary. We also told our waitress and expected at a minimum for the manager to come over and say hello. Nothing. I had researched online that this was among the best seafood places in Dallas, I am sad to say I disagree, Maybe the downtown location is better, but the Royal Lane location just did not meet or exceed our expectations. The food was not bad--it was just good. The noise level was awful, but I guess that's just the way it is. I am sorry I cannot recommend it

    Casual ambiance. Not stuffy. But the food of a fine dining restaurant. All three entrees -- halibut, tacos and enchiladas were perfect. Enjoyed the siracha cole slaw. Nice twist.

    Such a fun place with good food and great service. The smoked salmon platter is the BEST appetizer! The only negative is that it’s SO loud, so if anyone in your party has hearing issues, I would not recommend a weekend night.

    This was my first time to this location, but I love TJ’s. Some of the freshest seafood in the metroplex! A little pricey, but worth it. Nice ambience and lively atmosphere for dinner. We had the smoked salmon board, oysters, and fish tacos and all were very fresh and delicious. We’ll be back!

    Wh have been to both locations and like the Royal better. It is not as hot, larger, and has a good bar. The food is about the same..VERY GOID! Fresh seafood is expensive, but worth it when it is cooked well, as it is here. An enjoyable evening.

    Martini was terrible. My $39 Salmon was served with stone cold turnip mix. Hush puppies were almost burnt. Mac & Cheese was runny & more dente than it should have been Our server was the best part of the dinner.

    We have eaten at TJs several times over the years. In the last several months when we have eaten there the fish is overcooked to the point of hardly being edible. The time before last I sent it back to the kitchen. This time I simply did not want to wait for another meal to be cooked. It took quite a bit of time to get the first attempt. It simply does not make sense for a seafood restaurant not to hire a chef who knows how to cook seafood!

    Perfectly prepared halibut…fresh, flaky and tender. Presented artfully in a bowl with mashed potatoes and squash. Waitperson was delightful and friendly. Knew the menu and offered additional choices. All in all. Lovely dining experience.
