Excellent. Very consistent. Carman is great.
60 th Birthday
We sat outside, by request. Everything was very good with the exception of the horrific music they played. It was very loud-we could hardly hold a conversation. We thought maybe it was an odd choice of dinner music but we met a couple who live in CM and they told us the music never changes. They also hate it! I would not go back because of it. They need to fund some soft, dinner jazz. Music annoying, especially for a romantic dinner.
Excellent, delicious, well presented halibut dinner, with great wine pairing from Cape May Winery.
Excellent as always. Never been disappointed here. Food and service is always fantastic. Probably not what you would you expect as they are located in the mall. Try this restaurant you will be completely surprised and will want to come back again and again.
One of my favorite restaurants. Bought friends for the first time and they loved it also.
Would have enjoyed meal better if chairs were not so low to the table.
Lovely meal sitting outside on the Mall area. Dry pleasantserver. Shared multiple appetizers that were excellent. Always love the Calamari.
Located in the mall so we were a little skeptical but this please is GREAT. Took outdoor seating and service was attentive and easy-going. Had the scallop risotto (which came with 3 nice-sized scallops on the side) for an appetizer which was super-tasty and the Chicken Milanese special. It is bring your own which kept cost down. Overall highly recommend and will be back next time I'm in town.
We sat outside on a lovely summer evening and enjoyed the excellent service and food, once again. We come to Tisha’s each summer on our annual sisters’ getaway, knowing we will always enjoy our meal. One critique that I have of Tisha’s is that the air conditioning is always too cold for us, so sitting outside is our solution.
Excellent food. Exceeded our expectations. Will return!!
Have always enjoyed this restaurant. I would like it better if the entrees had a few less ingredients. For instance, the halibut was loaded with other stuff when I would have preferred just a nice piece of grilled fish.
Our server Shana was wonderful. Attentive and conscientious to our dining experience. Food and service was exceptional.
Went to Tisha's for dinner during Restaurant Week in Cape May -- our party of 4 ordered from both the regular menu and the special "set" menu. All the selections we tried were very well prepared, and very tasty -- and the special "set" menu had many of the regular items (same portion size) as the main menu -- as well as some tasty additions. Wait staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and was helpful with suggestions and selections.
Located on the Market Street Pedestrian Mall in downtown Cape May -- easy location to get to, and very accessible. This is a BYOB, so don't forget your favorite beverage!
Definitely worth the trip -- recommended!
Had a wonderful dining experience here during restaurant week. Portions plentiful, beautiful presentation and delicious food! Definitely recommend....reservations a must at this busy restaurant
As always the food was delicious and the service excellent . Will be back soon.
We dined at Tisha's for Restaurant Week. I do not think we could have had a better experience anywhere. Our server was attentive, informative and very friendly and our food was outstanding. All of us ordered the same appetizers and entrees: the scallops with risotto and the salmon. The scallops were better than most sea food restaurants and the risotto may have been the best this side of the Atlantic. Our waitress gave us options for the salmon, grilled or blackened (listed on the menu). Some have blackened, some had grilled and we all thought it was delicious. The accompanying mashed potatoes were delicious and the asparagus outstanding.
Our cappuccinos were coffee house good. Some of us ordered the flourless chocolate cake, which was decadent and some the tiramisu. Everyone was extremely happy.
Walked in at 5:15 pm for a walk in party of two on June 9, 2018. Hostess manager stated due to restaurant weekend, if you don’t have a reservation we cannot seat you. There were many open tables in my view but that is besides the point. We stepped away and made a 5:30 on open table (there were a few more openings). When we returned just a few moments later, the hostess then stated oh, I just moved a table, you are in luck!
Luck?? How about you do your job in the first place?
I understand it was raining and you have less tables available. But what about the people who cancel and no-show because of that rain?? At least offer to wait!
While we enjoyed a delicious meal, we witnessed many people being turned away and it was a shame to see because there were indeed seats if you were willing to wait. My theory is they didn’t want to honor the pre-fix if they didn’t have to due to restaurant week.
Shame on you Miss Hostess. I am sure the owner would not approve of your actions.
Bad business in my mind. How do you turn away business and say we don’t accept walk ins??
We've been here a few times, and every time we've been here the service is excellent and the food is too. The food comes out quick so your not waiting a long time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!
We've eaten here many times and as always it was exceptional. We went for Restaurant Week and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal.
was sat down quickly, first time here. Enjoyed the food and service. Have already recommended this place to others. Will certainly come back.
good people watching on the covered porch
Pleasantly surprised-this was the best meal I have had in a long time-great service and great food-our server Heather, was the best-I would highly recommend 😊👍
Everything was perfect. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Just a normal sleep pleasant evening. Restaurant week made it even more special. Will visit again, often.
The food is always fresh and well executed. We look forward to eating at Tisha’s every time we are in Cape May. Definitely the top restaurant in Cape May.
Service and food were great.
Superb best restaurant in Cape May
It is always a wonderful experience for us! Brenda is always welcoming with a big smile and sincere greeting; and Cat, our server, was absolutely delightful. Awesome!!
Dinner was outrageous
There lobster risotto app is awesome
Bolognese with homemade paradella excellent. Be aware apple pie Sunday for dessert is big enough for 4. Parking can be a problem since it's in town
Worth the trip
Our waitress, Kat was on the ball, efficient and professional. Made our dinning experience a night to remember and to recommend to others. Even though we met three others Cape May couples we knew.
Food was very good but the customer service was nonexistent. Our reservation was for 7:00 PM and when I checked in at 6:55, the hostess said that it would be just a few minutes because they needed to clear a few tables. We went outside to wait because the entrance is small. After 20 minutes shivering outside, we came inside to wait but were told that people were lingering over their wine and tables weren’t opening up as quickly. Over the next 15 minutes or so several tables opened and people ahead of us were seated but then OUR table opened up and one of the two hostessing mistakenly seated another couple who artived after us AT THAT TABLE!!!! We were visibly upset but remained calm and respectful. About 10 minutes later we were seated. We had put quarters in the meter for 2 hours at 6:50 and were about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. At 8:30 I was getting so concerned about getting a parking ticket if we remained for coffee and dessert, that we decided to take our dessert with us. It was NOT a relaxing meal. As we left, the hostess wouldn’t even look at us. Any reputable establishment would have offered us something complimentary for their blatant error. We were offered nothing! What could have been a relaxing evening with good food turned into a disaster. I’ll never go back.
Our first time dining at Tisha's and we chose restaurant week to dine there. Open Table made reservations very easy and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was delicious and the courses were not rushed. Would recommend Tisha's for couples or multiple couples. Nice atmosphere with fabulous food.
We went here for restaurant week this week, we found the food rather bland. The server was inattentive and we waited for our dessert for 25 mins with not many dining and no sight of or waitress. After it arrived and we finished had to wait 20 mins for the check. I'm a local and love Restaurant Week to check on places to return to this season, I do not plan to return....
Amazing food!! We sat on the back patio and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Our service was spectacular as the waitress brought drinks or whatever was needed before we even asked for it.
Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was delicious! Only a couple suggestions for the owners. The chairs are really low out on the back patio, or the tables are too high for the chairs?? And as the sun went down we were attacked by mosquitos. Our reservation was at 730 and the bugs were not bad till about 830. I would recommend some citronella plants or candles or some other plants that might deter the bugs in the evenings. Otherwise, very enjoyable. I am a repeat customer!! Thanks a lot!
Everything was great except hostess tried to seat us next to bathroom when there were many other options, and we are regulars. This has happened before and she told us that we should request a specific table like everyone else did. Interesting.
Cape May Restaurant week. 3 course $35. Food was very good. nice presentation. short rib Bolognese was tasty tender and very good. dessert the tira misu was great as well as the flourless chocolate cake. service is attentive. wine by the bottle is available (cape may winery).
Mother Inlaw birthday
Fantastic seafood at Tisha's, and the patio seating provides some excellent people watching opportunities! Tisha's is BYO (which I didn't realize when I booked), but they offer some nice selections of Cape May wines by the bottle. The Riesling was a perfect companion to our seafood entrees.
I am sooo glad that we decided to eat here. The food was so delicious! It is a byob, however, they sell Cape May Winery wines. Our waitress Barbara was awesome and very helpful with our order. We started with the lobster risotto and the salmon parfait. Very good highly recommended! For dinners we ordered the peppered shrimp with crab cake, so delicious! Also, the seafood risotto, husband loved it! For dessert we ordered the cream puffs stuffed with vanilla ice cream with warm chocolate glaze on top, yummy! It was enough to share! We had a very enjoyable meal and was not rushed. All meals came out in a timely manner. Hats off to the culinary team and staff!
Tishas is consistently a wonderful restaurant with a very nice menu. The staff are very friendly and always accommodating...nice to have an outdoor option for seating.
We really recommend Tishas when in Cape May.
