Tisha's Ratings and Reviews
Food was good, shrimp and crab cake excellent, but definitely overpriced. Pasta carbonara not worthy of its price tag, nor had enough pancetta to set it apart from ordinary pasta with a cream sauce, we enjoyed our meal, but did not knock our socks off. Advantage being its a byob, salad and bread nice touch, and we would return again.
Must have been an off night b/c food was abnormally bland. BBQ Shrimp bruschetta on crustini bread had nice size shrimp but the sauce tasted like an inexpensive cheese sauce. No tomato, no onion, no taste. Pan fried pork chop was tasty, nice arugula and roasted pepper salad was flavorful, the pork chop was a little dry. The jumbalaya was full of shrimp, scallops & smoked sausage but sauce, again was kinda bland. Will def go back, absolutely love their lunches and would give dinner another try. The flour less chocolate cake was rich & yummy, and byob is a bonus. Meal w tip under $110.
Tisha's was a refuge with great ambience and warmth. The food was exquisite with no missteps. The waitstaff was informed, personable and attentive without being intrusive. Wonderful all around. They do not have a liquor license but you can purchase a bottle of wine from a very limited selection. Since the food deserves better wine, I suggest you bring your own bottle which they are very happy to serve.
We would definitely go back.
3 of our 4 entrees were delicious. the pork chop was terrible-absolutely tasteless. the salads were also very average. However, the risotto was perfect, lobster ravioli was delicious. I would definitely recommend the short rib Bolognese entrée and the mushroom risotto.
My family has been coming here for years and it's been consistently great! The Thai Salmon is flaky, light and delicious and the pastas (pasta Lauren) and risottos and expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The only 'miss' I've ever had was the pork chop; bland and a bit dry. Would absolutely recommend Tisha's as a great Cape May find.
The food here is the best! The prices are reasonable considering the meals include sides and a salad. Portions are reasonable, not overwhelming as in many restaurants And it's BYOB which makes the pricing even more reasonable. Service is relaxed so don't plan on getting in and out in a hurry. That said, the hard wooden chairs make sitting for 1 1/2+ hours a little uncomfortable.
Excellent food. Not just your typical lunch of salads and burgers. Great menu selection food outstanding I had the fried oysters for appetizer my husband had the lobster bisque soup. Outstanding For lunch I had crab cake tacos do good I forced myself to est it all even though I was full after one. Wod definately go back and jeep if on my favorite list
4th time at Tisha's. First my wife and I tried it. Since then we took 3 other couples. What a great place. The food is creative and delicious. We had the full treatment with appetizers, entrees and dessert. We were stuffed, but that's OK as we were going on a walking tour of Cape May afterwards to work it off. Everyone was impressed. Service was also very special. We may be lucky here as I recall a time when they were really crowded and the staff looked overwhelmed. Fortunately on that night we had a very seasoned waitress and it was great too. This is a byob and they are open year round. Nice to know when you go in the off season which I do.
We enjoyed a fabulous birthday dinner, perfect from beginning to end. Excellent service from Deana. Would highly recommend the veal tenderloin. Beautiful presentation and melt in your mouth delicious. Salads were crisp and cool, the way a salad should be. Creme Brulee was over the top - nice and crusty with mouth watering chocolate dipped strawberries on the side. Our former "favorite" restaurant in Cape May has been replaced by Tisha's!
Tisha's on the mall was suggested to us by our inn keeper in Cape May, and it was a great recommendartion.
The ambiance was pleasant, and the menu was extnesive. We had a hard time making a selection as all the appetizers and entrees sounded so great. Our server was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable.
The sea food risoto was outstanding as well as their signature chicken dish with muchrooms, artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. This is a BYOB restaurant although they offered some very good local wines by the bottle.
I highly recommend Tisha's.
The nice part of this restaurant is that you can hear your dining companions and have a conversation. Even on a crowded Saturday night, we had no problem enjoying a conversation. The atmosphere is nice, the food and presentation is excellent and the service is good. We did wait a long time for our salad, but the restaurant was crowded and once it came, everything else was done on a timely basis. We're going again this Saturday night.
Very nice meal for my wife's birthday. Was a rainy evening and could not sit outside, but eating inside was fine. Food and service were very good. Would go back again. Business must be good, as they had to turn away several walk ins that did not have a reservation.
The food here is special. We had the curried clams and pumpkin gnocchi. I could not choose between them, both dishes flavorful and a unique blend of ingredients. Topped the meal with bread pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. All was memorable.
Went on a Saturday night and apparently a lot of people had the same idea so, even with a reservation we had to wait. Once the wait was over (about 10 min) the rest of our time there was most enjoyable. Both my husband and I enjoyed our dinners and, even though it was crowded, we were served fairly quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. I would definitely recommend your establishment to others.
My husband and I just spent the weekend in Cape May celebrating our Anniversary and we had another wonderful dinner at Tisha's. The service is always great. We never feel rushed which we love. The food as always, Perfect!
Thanks for another great anniversary dinner!
We were seated at 7:30 and did not get our food till after 9:30. After waiting so long for our food we were to tired and hungry to enjoy it.. When I finally went in to find out if they had forgotten us, I did not get an apology but rather was curtly told that it is customary for it to take this long. When I e-mailed the owner , I was told that this was not the type of restaurant to grab a quick bite, and that they served us an hour or so after taking our order. The reason our order wasn't put in until 8:30 was because our waitress was too busy to take our order. I've never had to wait 2 hours for my dinner to arrive..This was in October, I can only imagine how long it would take in the summer months.
