Tir Na Nog Irish Bar & Grill - Times Square
Our 6,000 square ft space boasts several intimate dining areas with two fireplaces and two stone cottages. Choose from dishes like the classic shepherd's pie, pan roasted cod with lobster mash or a tender New York strip steak.
Great Irish pub feel with the ambiance to match. Service and food was good and no delays in service. Overall a good experience
Nice to know that this restaurant exists near Port Authority. I will be back!
Waitress was inattentive to us and the food was not anything to rave about, plus there was a nice long piece of hair in my spouses burger! Nasty!
Best Guinness outside of Ireland. Excellent service by Patricia. Best pork chops I’ve had ever!
Always a good time. We go every few months since it never disappoints. Love the fish and chips! Risotto also gets high marks
Fantastic food, very friendly staff, lain out of Restaurant is great, with having some very cosy places to eat in.
A real find. Just off 8th Avenue. Very large pub with separate dining areas away from bar noice. Very welcoming staff and service with a smile. Watched the Pats Rams game and thought I was in Boston with all the Tom Brady shirts. A good raucous crowd.
Best place in NYC to watch Patriots Football! What a blast and a great crowd! Travel from Maine just to go at least once a year!
Came in pre-theatre on tues. 1/8/19. Everything was GREAT! I had the pork chop, that was moist and DELICIOUS. Dining partner had the roasted chicken, DELICIOUS as well. Would highly recommend
Great food and great service!!
Wonderful meal and waitress was very personable, Francesca
Always a great experience!!
Great service and lovely meals on Christmas Day. Was a little quiet in the bar area but the restaurant filled up as it got later-we had booked a table for 6pm as we were jet lagged!
Christmas Dinner offered several good options. Great service and a fair price. Steaks and cod were excellent.
Great ambiance and super staff. The second time we went to watch the Pats play.
Sunday brunch was a unique experience that included Irish bacon and sausages as well as the British breakfast tradition of baked beans. It was supposed to include black and white pudding, but we got toast instead. The British-pub ambience was cozy and the service friendly. Arriving for our 11 a.m. reservation, we were the first ones there which was relaxing after a crowded few days in New York. Brunch comes with a mimosa, bloody Mary, or screwdriver; my mimosa was delicious. I felt as though we found a hidden gem not far from Times Square.
We chose this place because it was literally right next to our hotel and had an interesting menu. The choices are far more than typical Irish Pub fare, with some different things like a corned beef arancini appetizer and Thai mussels which were both good. The double barreled old fashioned drink was very good, the rum punch only ok. And while we had a good experience for dinner, we went back after a show for drinks and ended up simply leaving after about 5 minutes because nobody came to seat us or even acknowledge our presence.
I HAVE BEEN TO BOTH LOCATIONS AND FEEL THEY ARE OUTSTANDING. MAITRE DE IS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND SERVERS ARE ATTENTIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE MENU. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS RESTAURANT MANY TIMES AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES IN NYC!
If I knew it was patriot bar and they were playing at 1 which was when I made reservation I would not have come, I was getting together with non football fans all women. It was a little distracting , we all loved the food but too noisy for what our lunch was about.
Awesome place to see if Pats game
Very enjoyable, good food, nice atmosphere, staff very helpful, perfect table for my group.
My family group of seven went here for Thanksgiving dinner and were overwhelmed by the superb and inspired treatment of that traditional menu and the superior service. Highly recommended on every level for a solid dining experience of standard cuisine.
This is our ‘go to’ pre-theater restaurant because the 39th St location is on the way uptown from Penn Stn but not a tourist trap. The beer selection is great and the food selection is too. There is something for everyone from Irish menu items (which we recommend) to burgers and salads and a Sunday brunch. We came back again today so twice in one week!
Spacious, great atmosphere & music on the radio, food is delicious and you can have a conversation without yelling even though the bar is packed with people & conversations.
Excellent food. Greatly enjoyed the fish & chips and would rank them in the top 3 of fish and chips that we have had all around the country and in London. We also very much enjoyed the arugula and beet salad. The ambience was also very fun as it resembled a pub in Ireland or London. Will definately go back the next time we are in NYC.
We had an incredibly pleasant dining experience. This food was tasty and well prepared. We thought we had lots of options, especially gluten-free options. Would definitely recommend the calamari- as it was tender and tasty. We’d definitely go back.
The best shepherd's pie anywhere! Great lunch options at a really affordable price.
Table was ready at reserved time. Location is large bar style with separate seating. Noise level more on the energetic side. Food was very good, particularly compared to other bar-type places. Service was very alert and friendly. Recommended place for evyeryday dining or gathering of friends (not so much for business dinner as conversations are somewhat difficult due to noise level).
An excellent evening menu for a gluten-free diner and non-GF partner. Great food, drink and service
Great food. HUGE PLACE, great price for area, only negative was even though the place was empty the waiter rushed all of the food...apps and mains out at the same time.
Patriots NYC fan club meets there on game day. Support your team and have some fun!
been here numerous times and have never been disappointed.
The place was empty when we arrived at 8 pm for dinner on Sunday which made us a bit nervous. The food was good, nice selection and nice staff. We'd go back.
Overall it was a good evening. My pardner and I booked online and we arrived to find the special reserved location was ready just for us as requested. Our server was very prompt and had very good suggestion with respect to our drinks and the menu. We were both satisfied with her recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. The noise level at first seems a bit too noisy, but after a while it was fine.
I would recommend this Bar to friends.
Food was excellent, plenty to choose from, service prompt and waitress was superb.
Super place in the middle of the hub of the world!!!
I had initially made reservations for 6 people at 7pm, which was not a problem. But then as the day progressed we had to change our reservations to 8 p.m., and there still was no problem, they were very accommodating. We arrived and the place was not very packed but the ambiance was very nice. It looks very rustic, similar to a European style pub. Our waitress, who was very pregnant at the time, treated us like family, she was very professional and a very nice person to deal with. By the way, we went in mid July and she is due in early September, she's a trooper. We ordered our food, two orders of the Fish & Chips, three different styles of hamburger, and I had the pan roasted cod with the Lobster mashed potatoes. All the food was outstanding. I really liked the pan roasted cod. It was so well prepared I would go back for seconds and thirds and fourths of this particular dish. We all enjoyed ourselves and would go back again.
Always a great place to eat/drink before an event at MSG. Close enough to walk but far enough that it is packed with crazed fans. Food is always very good and a nice selection of beers.
