Love this restaurant. Never disappoints. Tried their special, the Cooper River Sockeye Salmon. OUTSTANDING! Sooo good. The buffalo shrimp appetizer is the best we have ever tasted anywhere. Great pinot noir and wonderful French Martini. Always a good time. Our server Ryan is always Fantastic.
Excellent daily choices fixed superbly. Great wine list. Wonderful attentive waitstaff.
The reservation was for 9 people and we were there to celebrate my wife’s graduating with her Masters degree. The service was outstanding and the food was quite impressive. My family from out of town and even those whom live here were impressed with the entire experience. Great job Tin Fish!
Amanda our server was amazing, kind, funny and a great server! Food was very good as well
This was my first time for Tin Fish. It is as good a seafood restaurant as you will find on waiter coast. Fresh fish, beautifully prepared in a friendly atmosphere. Great value!
After driving by for years, I finally decided that I had to check out Tin Fin. I was not disappointed, the food was amazing. Mom was pleased with the choice of dining locations and would like to go back ASAP. Great job by the staff, Mother's Day was memorable for mom.
Thanks to this restaurant i was able to check off one thing on my to do list which was to try Halibut Fish..it was ok mixed with the side dish gave it a better taste. Overall the restaurant was very nice.
Great food and drinks. The Fried Shrimp and Filet Mignon are outstanding.
Everyone's food was good and I tried something new. Fried calamari was great.
Best new England clam chowder
My wife and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary at our favorite place for seafood. We started with a dozen oysters (half east coast and half west coast) which are available every day. We split an excellent beet, goat cheese and arugula salad then had the soft shell crab special. The crabs were sweet and tender. Done perfectly. They have an extensive and very nice wine list. Service was measured, helpful and friendly. It was a perfect evening.
My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. The service was great, our waiter was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent! I would recommend the fried calamari for an appetizer. For our dinners we chose from the specials menu so I'm not sure if the choices are there regularly but this is our third time there and we've had something different each and have not been disappointed yet. Expect to spend about $130 for two including wine.
Both Nicole and Ryan were such a pleasure to have. Great laughs, service and food. If you want cheap fast food, go to McDonalds...if you want food and service of the highest quality, there is no better place then Tin Fish.
Everything we had was very good! The fish and shrimp were very fresh and the accompaniments were delicious as well.
Excellent excellent excellent 👏🏻
Excellent food and service... already looking forward to next visit!
It was our first and last time dining at Tin Fish. My catfish was overcooked and the breading was very hard. I had to peel off the hard crust to partake of the fish. There was no meat in my jambalaya and rice dish. The food portions were extremely small especially the crab cakes. The drinks were fine but the food was terrible. We will not be returning to Tin Fish . We were very disappointed. It was more show than substance..
Wait staff was awesome.
The crab I had was very fishy tasting. My Husband’s fish was good but he was served 1 small piece for $22.00 which cane with only fries. We were never asked how our dinner was after we were served. As a rule the server should come by within the first 5 minutes to check if all us ok! We will not be going back
My favorite place for a great meal! Tin Fish never disappoints. The food is outstanding and the wait staff is awesome! Great cocktails and terrific appetizers. Love the fresh fish menu. Love bringing family and friends when possible. Everyone has a great time and enjoys an awesome meal.
Overall we were very satisfied with our experience.
Always the best seafood in the area. Attentive service, and good wine list.
Food was excellent
The food and the service at Tin Fish never disappoint! I appreciate the specials and the pairings of side dishes with entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious and it was a special treat for my husband's birthday.
Food was very good and service was Excellent. Had to wait for a table even after making a reservation. Very crowded early but empty later at night.
Wonderful dinner with friends
I’ve been here several times before and always came back hoping the next time it will knock my socks off. However I think this last time will be the last time.
The food is mediocre. I had the swordfish and it was very bland, maybe kept past its prime in the freezer. It came on a bed of smashed potatoes which was also bland and half was way over cooked. I had to ask for some butter to drizzle over the potatoes to give it a little bit of flavor but that did not help.
My daughter had the half serving of the crab. The price on the menu is not accurate and our waitress started off by saying that menu price is not correct. I think it was about ten dollars more than what is on the menu.
The dessert was gross and not at all what a baked Alaska flambé should be. First off our waiter who served the food poured the flaming alcohol onto the dish so fast it almost caught us on fire. Even the manager across the room yelled “easy. Not so fast”. After not caring that he almost lit us on fire he walked away and left the burning plate on the edge of the table. I had to move the plate to the other side so my daughter wouldn’t catch on fire or the restaurant if it was knocked over. Because he poured it so fast only one side of the meringue toasted. After watching our dessert become black and charred on one side I decided to attempt to cut the cake. It had been in the freezer for way to long. It was not thawed and it even tasted like it was past its expiration date. When our waitress came back I told her it was not good at all and she said sorry and handed me the check. She didn’t even ask what the issue was to correct it for future purchases.
We will not be returning.
This is the third time we have enjoyed this restaurant, and we will be looking forward visiting here again soon. We have had the Chilean Sea Bass as well as other fish from the specials menu. AMAZING. Every single time. The service was fantastic. We have had the cold plate special for appetizers and the oysters were the best we have ever eaten. Delicious!! Each time we have had the pecan pie because it is just that good we do not want to try anything else.
Food and service were fabulous! Our server made great recommendations and was very attentive. Well worth the money. We’ll definitely be back!
simply outstanding, the best choice for a great meal
The fish is excellent. The $9.00 salad was approximately 2 bites, literally. It was noisy and freezing cold. I wore my coat during dinner and noticed a few other people in the restaurant doing the same. The waiter was very good but service was a bit slow. If your looking for delicious fish, this is the best place in the area.
Always fresh selections, well-prepared, with attentive service. Best seafood in the Southwest Suburbs.
A bit pricey
Not lay back
It was soooo yummy!!! Happy happy tummy! This staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Nick knows his wines! One opportunity for improvement was that the ladies room ran out of hand soap. The staff was speedy with a solution but the girl didn't quite know how to change the hand soap cartridge. A little cross training would help! ;)
Scallops were amazing
Loved the wine special
The bottles of wine offered are all rather expensive!
Not quite for a quiet evening but overall a great place for food and drinks.
Special was sea bass and was over the top outstanding! Wait staff were very attentive and helpful
Food was out of this world! Fresh and amazing flavors.
Excellent daily specials. Knowledgeable wait staff and wonderfully prepared cuisine made for a very enjoyable dining experience.
