I like this restaurant. My husband and I eat here often, we have a favorite table. I usually order the Angel Burger. Tonight a couple bites in, I felt a long hairlike object in my mouth with the bite burger. I pulled out a coarse, 3 inch long black object that looked like a cat whisker or the bristle of a cleaning brush. It was absolutely gross! We showed it to the waitress. She took the object off the side of the plate back into the kitchen. When she returned, she let us know that she "smelled it" (after I had it in my mouth) and it "smelled like herbs." She said the cook said it looked like a "thyme stem" and this "happens all the time, but usually they're in the soup."
The whole incident turned my stomach. The waitress didn't offer me a new burger and I certainly did not eat the one the black hairlike thing came out of.
I am so surprised that this happened at a place I normally enjoy so much. I don't think, "Well, this happens all the time" is a good enough response when someone finds a 3 inch long, black object in the food.
Tin Angel never disappoints! We had friends visiting from Canada, so wanted to take them to a "Nashville Original"; they really enjoyed it and we had a great meal.
We were seated in the back room which has 4 brick walls and limited atmosphere. They say they use this room for larger parties but we were 4 with plenty of open tables in the main dining area. So that was a disappointment.
They were out of our first wine selection.
The menu was very eclectic with interesting choices. I had the chicken which was dry enough that I couldn't eat more than half even with the help of the alternate wine choice. I don't think we'll be back.
We both had risotto which was very good but while one had an adequate potion of shrimp , the other had almost none and was disappointing . Apart from that a good dining experience
Three friends had a delicious meal of shared appetizers, pre-concert. Fried green tomatoes, goat-cheese, fig and arugula salad, rolls, bacon-wrapped figs and focaccia flatbread. All yummy! And a fine old-fashion. Also good wine. Excellent service. Very pleasant ambiance.
very cozy restaurant ,very happy we went there , we started with the Warm Honey Bire Dip (awesome ) I had the Red snapper , and my husband had the Beef Tenderloin both dishes were excellent , Our waitress was very attentive and nice .We would definitely go back ,
Service was very good. Ask for Liz. Menu selections were good with several seafood choices and two steak choices. Sides were a little disappointing. Good wine list.
I brought a out of town guest and a Nashvillian who had never been to Tin Angel. We all enjoyed our meals and desserts. I finally ordered the pasta dish and it is one of the best pasta dishes in Nashville. Tin Angel is on my go to list for out of town guests.
I was very impressed with Tin Angel! From the service, prices, wine menu, and variety on the menu, everything was excellent.
My wife and I had our first date at The Tin Angel and like to return on that anniversary. The atmosphere is great and the food is very good.
Great food, excellent service, super friendly staff...loved everything about it.
Great little neighborhood gem on the west side. Authentic entrees, friendly locals and friendly staff.
Dinner with friends in a nice, cozy, quiet yet energetic atmosphere with so many wonderful options to choose from for 2 of us who had no dietary restrictions and 2 more who were vegetarian/vegan. Great to be able to have so many nice choices when one doesn't eat meat, wheat or dairy! Dinner was fabulous, service excellent and the ambiance was just right.
Outstanding as usual. We have eaten here many times. It’s a must for a date or special events. The menu is great but the chef specials are unique and seasonal. The beef Wellington was delicious, the mussel were perfect and the cocktails well done.
Always good and always consistent!
we frequently find ourselves at the Tin Angel for their Prix Fixe menu. Great way to let them choose and you experiment beyond your usual fare.
Always a quality consistent product in a quiet cozy setting.
Very interesting menu with unique ingredients. The food was excellent and good service.
Very good value for the quality of the food. Wine and cocktail prices were great for Nashville.
The desserts sounded great, but we were too full from dinner even try one.
I will take clients there again when in Nashville.
Tin Angel is a perennial neighborhood favorite and is the best of many things - it’s cozy, inviting, affordable and the food is really good. You cannot go wrong going there.
Many entree options that are unusual and well prepared. Atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Suitable for a quiet conversation.
The food was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. Everything came out as ordered and we received our apps and entrees in a timely fashion. It was a great dining experience!!!!
never write reviews...this deserves one. My husband and I rarely rave about any Nashville/Franklin dining experience (food and service). Tin Angel provided outstanding service and the food was absolutely delicious. I think I said MMMM after every bite of everything I ordered, no lie.
Dinner a Tin Angel exceeded all our expectations! The winter menu was creative but approachable and our appetizer and entrees were delicious. There was a festive Friday night crowd and the atmosphere was charged with a friendly, neighborhood vibe.
As always, a fantastic meal!
Such a lovely and comfortable place! Our server was quite helpful with recommendations. The food was wonderful and we really appreciated that even with a full restaurant we could still have a comfortable conversation speaking in normal tones.
We have dined with Tin Angel a multitude of times over many years. The food continues to be fresh tasting and good. The noise level is moderately loud and can be distraction at times. This visit was to celebrate a special event and we were only disappointed in the desserts. It was "Restaurant Week" and we were eager to try the selections that were featured. Our only complaint was the desserts were dry and just not "to die for" like so many of the desserts we've tried over the years. Service was prompt and courteous. Overall, we were pleased and shall return soon.
This is a walkable restaurant for us. Had not been in years. It was quite disappointing, from the mediocre rolls, to a very bland goat cheese salad to a pasta with a mayonaise-like sauce that stayed with me for 24 hours. Disappointed.
We went for restaurant week and all three entrees and desserts were selected at our table and all were delicious.
Tin Angel has an upscale, comfortable feeling from the moment you walk through the door. An evening spent here is definitely money and time well spent. The food, ambiance, and staff make for a fantastic evening.
