Timpano Italian Chophouse - Ft. Lauderdale Ratings and Reviews
Food was fantastic. Only bad thing...asked for 2 glasses of "house Cabernet" with dinner. Should have asked for price first! Got bill....$48 dollars for the 2 wines and it tasted like a cheap wine! What a rip off. Tried to talk with server and was told that's the price. Wine drinkers beware.
Honestly disappointing cooked clams came Hslf unopened Very salty chicken piccata came and tasted like a sloppy Joe was totally over cooked pasta and a cup of sauce all over it horrible they should be ashamed of themselves to say their Italian village wine was OK the rest horrible
Went there for New Years Eve Dinner, took the early slot. 3 course meal, the filet was to die for, absolut tender and cooked on the spot to medium rare. Sea brass was also excellent to the point.
Service was great, atmosphere was excellent. Really a great finish of an interesting year 2017. Definitely will come back for another treat of the senses.
high prices and quality of food has gone down, this was our go to place and very disappointed. Stale bread and told with our skillet baked mussles that they were fazing out seafood forks and we should use regular fork to eat them. Such a huge disappointment to us after going their for 10 yrs.
We enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. There were no tables outside available but the hostess
set up a nice table for us while we sat at the bar. The atmosphere is perfect and the food was very good. It was busy because of the holiday season and the waiter seemed a little stressed.
But all in all it was a good experience and we have since gone back for dinner!!
We had dinner there on Christmas! Awesome food, very nice portions and presentation was fabulous. My dtr had the sword fish and i tell you it had a great flavor and very fresh. I had the linguini with fresh clams.. spectacular!
A little loud but that was okay, it was Christmas and the the place was busy. I would highly recommend and most probably will go back next year. We r from Chicago and spend Christmas in south Florida.
Our first visit here was for Christmas Day. We were early so the restaurant was not very crowded. The wait staff was superb. The cocktails were excellent. The clams in a skillet are "to die for" I plan to return for that with a nice red wine along side. I had the scallops as main course which were very tender and fresh. My husband had a steak. He asked for it medium and the temp was right. However, the steak seemed dry. They are good meats yet he probably needed to order it at medium rare. We will return and give it another try. The restaurant and bar area are very nice and comfortable.
The Osso Bucco was amazing, but everything else was average for similar restaurants within the price point. Most restaurants include a sauce with the ordering of a steak, but they charged extra. Their sides are $10 each, but were not of a size to share with more than 1 person. And the parmesan risotto was undercooked. Overall, the steak was great, but I expected more value as I spent considerably more here than at their competitors.
