Timpano Italian Chophouse - Ft. Lauderdale Ratings and Reviews
We were put in one of the part rooms which are a bit bland, starter of roast mussels was delicious, fresh and tasty, my husband had the osso bucolic which was flavorful and the risotto cooked perfectly. I had the scallops, they were a good size served with a sweet polenta which was too sweet, it overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the scallops that were delicious on their own. The desert we chose was a butterscotch bread pudding served with ice cream, nothing to write home about, very dense. The pear martini was fabulous. Price was excellent and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you can ask for the main dining room. Service was on point all evening.
Excellent food! Tapenade was amazing! Live entertainment was excellent, great mix of fun music! I could have listened all night! Food prices were surprisingly reasonable, given the restaurant location & type of food on the menu! Service was great, timely & pleasant! Thoroughly enjoyed it, highly recommend this place!
I had a great experience. Our waiter was attentive. I ordered the Aged Hand-Cut Fillet with Crab Oscar, truffled Mac & Cheese, & Sauteed Broccolini. The steak was seasoned extremely well and very juicy. I was very pleased with my meal & so we're my friends with their meals.
Had dinner with 8 friends the night before a wedding. They were very accommodating about changing the time and number of guests. All entrees, salads and appetizers were delicious. One member of our party didn’t receive his meal with the rest of us but our waiter was very apologetic for the error and he was served in 5 minutes. A very busy night so noisy but the dining room we were in was less so. Service was very outstanding except for the 1 delayed entree.
The ambiance of a classy classic Italian eatery. The wine list is long. While the focus is on meat, there are a few classic Italian pasta dishes all reasonably priced. The chops and seafood are expensive and very very good. I had the fish special, which was the Bronzino. I had never tried this fish before but it was excellent. The pieces of filet and ribeye I got to try from my family members were also superb. A great spot to splurge for a nice family occasion.
Both the Veal Chop and chicken picatta were undercooked but they did fix that. I really didn't care for the taste of the sauce on the chicken picatta at all. I've had that dish many places and always love it but they had a different spice or something in the dish that neither my husband or I liked.
wonderful dining experience except that we arrived on time, we could see there were plenty of available tables, and yet the hostess told us we had to wait maybe an hour to be seated!
We opted to eat at the bar, where there were many open seats, and immediate, good service.
Came to Timpanos on Saturday with another couple and as usual, Timpanos did not disappoint. From being greeted at the front desk to cocktails at the bar before sitting down to our dinner, the service was impeccable. Our waiter Will, took great care of us and our friends. We never had to wait for our drinks to be filled and our food came out in an orderly manner. We also had the restaurant manager Billy, come by the table to make sure we were happy with everything. We've taken family and friends here on different occasions and they always compliment Timpanos for great food and service
Great service, phenomenal food and bar menu, and topped off with stellar live music. Only cons were the tardiness of the live music and them forgetting it's my wife's birthday. The website said music would start at 7 and didn't start until 7:35 - I made my reservation to be when the music was supposed to start (7:00pm) so I was mildly annoyed with that oversight. I had a note on the reservation that it's my wife's birthday but no one said happy birthday until we got the check. To be fair, we will be back and loved it but those two cons should not have happened at a venue charging top dollar.
My fiancé and I went to celebrate our 6 yr anniversary along with my teenage daughter. We did the dine out Lauderdale the adults ordered the surf n turf with the filet, my daughter had the sirloin. Food was tasty and the serves was good I would definitely go there again
We booked the crave menu for a party of 4. It was our first visit and we're looking forward to a great evening. Our waiter was very good and very helpful with advice on our choice. Everything went well till the dessert came. We had been advised that the Carmel bread and butter pudding was the most popular in the restaurant. We ordered 2 portions and 2 ice cream. Both desert were terrible. The ice cream was grainy more like frozen milk than cream. Then the Carmel bread and pudding was terrible. We sent everything back. !! Our waiter was surprised with our desert. It is not the same that is on the main menu. He actually showed a very different version of the dessert that he was bringing to another table. We told the manager how we felt. His response was that he would tell the chef the next day!! It spoilt the evening. We had gone on the crave menu but we spent over $350 but we're so disappointed by our desert and the lack of reaction by the manager.
My wife and I come about six times a year to Timpano. Most of the time with friends. We enjoy it very much. This time we came alone to celebrate our 44th Aniverary, on a Wednesday night. The food was great as always, the music was at is best, Service as good as always.
in short words, we had a great time and will be back with friends or on our own soon.
