Noisy group at the bar,l made it hard to talk even to the waiter
No valet parking was inconvenient to say the least
Weak wine menu
But the taste was very good, service excellent
Excellent flavors...parking with the florida forever construction is horrible...
Live Music is in the front when you first walk in, but the main Dining room is around the back so the music is muffled, which makes it tolerable for us!
Their chicken parmigiana is one of the best we ever had. Just a great place overdl, classy, but not snobby.
Seated promptly, in a booth we requested, server was attentive, food very good, overall an enjoyable evening with friends
Excellent dining choice. Our group had a great time, the service was very good and the food outstanding...!
The food and service is always spot on
xxxxxxxxfvdasdf sssss fffff ggggg hhhhh eeeee tyyyy
My friends steak came out well done when she ordered medium rare. Then it came out still breathing! Third time is a charm. Not acceptable for a $40 steak at this kind of restaurant. She got her steak after everyone else was done.
Manager could have offered a dessert or something to compensate but nothing was done.
Disappointing because all my friends were in town to visit!
Mussels were at least delicious per usual
Best steaks in town! We love going to Timpano's every chance we get. The food, service and atmosphere are all top-notch.
Good food good service. Skillet of muscles were amazing .
Gift from my children
I was searching the internet for a good veal chop while visiting Fort Lauderdale. Timpano came up, and it did not disappoint. Food, drinks, and service were all first rate. We started with the house specialty, mussels in a sizzling cast iron pan, and finished with veal chops and assorted sides. Prices are very high, and everything is a la carte. My friend and I split an appetizer, had 5 cocktails combined, and then each had a salad, veal chop, one side, and dessert. With tip, our all-in cost was close to $300. We could have saved a few bucks by sharing desserts, which were ginormous, each big enough for 3-4 people. It was great for a special occasion, but out of my price range for a weekly visit. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Thursday night, though there were several people in the bar.
Excellent service and food was good. I will return and recommend.
Great service, don’t miss the mussels the best in south Florida. Steaks are great always cooked to perfection
Loved it, caprinha chicken was amazing.
Our server will smith was amazing. Had a great night
Been there many times and I think it’s a wonderful restaurant !!
This is a great Italian restaurant with great service and food. We had the mussels appetizer that came with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce. The salmon special was tender and tasty. I recommend the beet salad, different and good. Check it out!
Great restaurant in good entertainment area.food is always 1st class.
I took my husband and some friends for my husband's birthday. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and we all had a wonderful evening.
We enjoyed the meal, the restaurant was quiet.. the service was ok. The drinks were ok but not great for a Martini..
Timpano's has great service and a very good menu. It's perfect for a date or special occasion, like an anniversary. They went out of their way to make it feel special.
Best place ever!!
Exceptional service! Best mussels and clams in S. Florida!
The appetizers, main course & dessert were excellent as usual. Our waiter Jared was very attentive & the manager Billy came by our table to wish my wife & I a happy anniversary.
Always good food, ambience and value. Only issue is wine prices keep escalating and portions shrinking as in all restaurants these days. But an excellent restaurant.
My wife and I spent our most recent wedding anniversary dining here. The reservation was ready and the seating immediate. Great Martini as an opener. Ordered the daily special(s) and they were both perfect. Pricing isn't bad at all for the presentation and quality of the meal. Our server, Alexis, was sweet, efficient and attentive. Will happily dine here again.
Excellent lunch time service on August 11, 2018. Table for ten was ready when our party arrived.
Martin is a courteous, thoughtful and fast server. Kudos to him!
The dessert comp was a nice surprise from the manager.
Thank you. We shall return.
We searched for the best high end Italian restaurant and yours was the first. Amazing
My wife and I went to Timpanos on August 4th for our anniversary and the entire team made it a very special occasion. We arrived early for a cocktail and our bartender George started out our night with great service. The General Manager Joe came to greet us at the bar and wished us a happy anniversary which was a great touch. We were also greeted by our server for our rehearsal dinner the year before, Tom who recognized us and also came over to greet us. We sat down for dinner and Tom took excellent care of us all night......he’s always top-shelf whenever we’ve been there and his service was one on the main reason we had our rehearsal dinner there.......our meals were outstanding as usual and again, the entire team made it a very special time for us.
We had the mussels to begin with. Can't go to Timpanos without having the mussels. Spectacular! For dinner I had the petite filet with blue cheese butter, and my dinner date had the bone-in veal chop. Amazing. For dessert, the bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream was warm and yummy.
This was a last minute business lunch and Timpano’s was able to accommodate us. The service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their food.
Muscles were not very fresh. Waiter was not very attentive. Looked like no one wanted to be there. Hostess had her back to the door and did not turn around until one of the waiters told her there were people waiting. Not what we are used to from timpano.
Been to Timpanos many times, but hadn't been back for a couple of years until this past Sat night. I was a little disappointed. First the good stuff - their mussels appetizer is still my fave - no one does them better! Drinks and salads were great. Service was very gracious and friendly and they didn't try to rush us out, which I truly appreciate.
The negatives (for me at least):
- Hadn't been here since they took the stage away in the starlight lounge. Now it feels like just another restaurant - more tables crammed in and a few barstools...no real dance floor to speak of . To me, it totally lost that intimate "club" feel i used to love that turned dinner into an entertaining night out.
The dj/singer was good, but not a replacement for the energy and fun of a live band like they used to have on a Sat night. He played slower music most of the time we were there - so unless you're with someone romantic, not many chances to dance. (The website described the act as lots of 50s, 60s 70s upbeat music, which didn't seem the case when we visited and we were there quite a while.)
Not quite sure why the restaurant asks guests if they are celebrating any occasion on OpenTable's reservation form - no one looks at it. It was my birthday that night and no one read or noticed. Don't get me wrong - I definitely wasn't looking for any freebies. :) Just a 'happy birthday" from the hostess, server or a manager would have felt special. Wouldn't have cost them a thing.
I'd still say Timpano's is a very nice place with romantic ambiance if someone asked me for my opinion. But I used to voluntarily send many new guests their way. I don't feel motivated to to do that anymore and probably won't be returning anytime soon myself. It wasn't bad at all - just not that special. I don't mind spending more on dinner & entertainment, but the Timpano's i used to enjoy was a unique experience. Now it just feels like another Las Olas restaurant - only a little pricier.
Have been here many times before. Always a good experience. This time the waiter was horrible. The mussels were undercooked. He brought us another and charged us for both. We did complain and he took it off. When the food came he was no where to be found. Steak was raw when it was ordered medium. We had a bottle of wine which was 52 dollars. When it was finished we ordered a glass of Cabernet and he said I’ll bring you one and then we got the bill and the glass was 31.50.
Our waiter Arturo was attentive, but not smothering. The food was delicious, good size portions and worth the price. We had plenty to enjoy as leftovers the next day.
Also a great place to enjoy live music in the bar on a Saturday night with Danny DelRay.
Love this place.
Higly recommend Timpano's. I'm a local and only live a few blocks away so I go there often, the food is always great and there is a good variety for any taste.
As my next door for 12 yrs my favorite rest on Las Olas
