It was OK but it was a buffet and the food was ok but the price was high.
Jeff was great at the bar, the table was ready on time, and the staff were exceptional, great caring staff. Food was very good, some was a little cold, but that's happens at buffets.
We went to Timmer's on Saturday 05/01/2021 and had a great experience.
Our server was Shelly was great. We had a Ribeye and a Salmon special and both were served hot and done to perfection. We can't wait to go again!
Our server Kayla was amazing!! Recommended great choices and helped answer our questions on some of the offerings. Food was delicious- would definitely recommend the calamari. We didn’t feel rushed and really enjoyed our experience.
This was our first visit to Timmers. We arrived early and walked down to the lake where we were able to sit down and enjoy the view.
We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7:30, you will want to make reservations. The food was excellent, my wife recommends the Walleye. My BBQ ribs were good too.
Nice place, great food. Step back into time when Supper Clubs were all over. Highly recommend this place.
Unfortunately we were both disappointed with our meals. The prime rib was full of fatty knots and while my husbands walleye was good, he received a baked potato instead of the wild rice that was supposed to come with the entree. When shared with waiter, he did receive the wild rice but it was cold. The vegetable was broccoli and was cold as well.
Love the atmosphere, but will be hesitant to go back soon because of this experience.
We brought our adult daughters for Easter brunch. Our table provided views of the whole room and the outside. The service was top notch right from the beginning. The servers were professional yet amiable. And the food was delicious. The options were quite limited because it was Easter, but there were so many items, and not too much of anything, that everyone enjoyed their meal. This drive in the country was a last minute thought, inspired by a trip last fall, the forecast of perfect spring weather. I’m so glad we managed to get a reservation. So we’re the girls.
I highly recommend Timmers resort for food but not on Easter Sunday unless they can return to offering the brunch.
I had never been to Timmer's before and decided to spend Easter there with my mom and daughter. I was pleasantly surprised. It was beautiful (including a roaring fireplace), the food was delicious (even though they could not do a buffet due to Covid-19 limitations), and the grounds showcased what is so lovely about Wisconsin. We really enjoyed it. Thank you!
We had a great meal at Timmer's Resort-beginning with a drink at the bar. The appetizers-calamari steak and mussels, were perfectly prepared, salads featured crisp lettuce (which you don't always get at restaurants) and our entrees-rib eye steaks, prime rib and grouper were flavorful. The raspberry sorbet was a refreshing finish and the raspberry creme brulee was a tasty twist on a traditional dessert. We will be back!
I had a wonderful time for dinner but I knocked down the value score by one star because I thought that the price of $60 for the dry aged steak was a little high. I don't remember what cut, Because I ordered the pecan crusted salmon which was excellent.
The wait was long, as it took 2 hours for the meal and dessert.
It was not overly crowded, but I'm sure the chef stayed busy.
Server was okay, but seemed as though she didn't want to be bothered.
Everything was wonderful!
Timmers is very comforting and beautiful restaurant that is off the beaten path. Amazing food and service. Portions are a little on the smaller side for the cost but the taste is outstanding!
Wonderful service, atmosphere as usual. Always love coming here. Enjoyed the Butternut Squash Ravioli for an app, Lemon Caper Walleye, and Seared Scallops with Butternut Squash risotto. The Strawberry Schaumtort was to die for!
This spot is a favorite. Walleye and ribs were incredible.
Wonderful food and service...made our anniversary very special! Highly recommend ! Hoping more options will be available soon we want to go back.
The menu we received on a Saturday evening was very limited. We barely found entre's that we could select. Will await the full menu before we go back
Timmers was absolutely wonderful!! Best steak that I’ve had in awhile. The perfect place for date night!! We will be back!
The ambiance is terrific. Warm and inviting. Food is always good.
It was our anniversary and we were treated well. There was glitter on our tablecloth for starters. After dinner we were treated to a complimentary dessert...their famous schaum torte! Yum. As always, good service and great ambiance!
My wife and I had not gone to Timmer's for a few years but decided to try it again. We had heard from others lately that it was really good. I can say that we were both happy with our visit. Our server was energetic and fun. The food was great. We will be going back again to try the other items on the menu.
Everything was excellent! Dinner was outstanding and the wait staff was all very personable and professional.
A perfect blend of nostalgic supper club but with updated food! Beautiful setting and lovely ambience. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We will be back!
Solid food in a classic WI Lakefront resort. The walleye and BBQ Ribs are outstanding. Live music on Fridays
Our 26th anniversary wasn’t even acknowledged other than some confetti on the table as I watched people having birthdays getting candles and desserts our waitress didn’t even bring it up, my steak was well done I asked for medium rare, 30 minutes to get a new steak very small fillet absolutely ridiculous by then my husband was done with his prime rib I took it to go all in all they ruined our dinner on our anniversary, I will not be going back!!!!
Great overall first experience!
The food is very good, the ambiance is fantastic, regardless of the time of year it's a great view. The staff is great and the drink menu is outstanding. Get the strawberry schaum torte!
As usual the food was fantastic. Our favorite appetizer is the Spinach Artichoke dip. Cocktail specials are always good. Their Old Fashioned special was also great. Steaks were cooked just like we ordered. Timmers is one of our favorite places to eat. Summer's are so pretty on the patio and the walking paths to the lake. After dinner you can sit by the fire and eat S'mores.
Great food! Awesome staff! Our hostess, waitress and bartenders were amazing! Can't wait to come back!
Fantastic atmosphere, food and service. Would highly recommend.
Outstanding food and ambience every time! Great bartenders and service!
Our server was very nice. Drinks were brought quickly. Only one mistake was corrected. The ribs were outstanding. A generous portion and very tender and flavorful. The filets were small but tasty and cooked as ordered. The Brandy Alexander’s were good as well.
Great way to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
I felt well taken care of. Felt safe the entire time.
The restaurant is beautiful and quiet. Our server was good, but from the time we ordered to the time we got the soup was almost 45 minutes and then another half hour to get our meals and the restaurant wasn’t busy. The food was alright, but we paid almost $30 each so we were expecting it to be much better. Overall it isn’t a bad place to go, but the price is quite high for average food.
We have eaten here before, my dining experience not good, from the cocktail, to our entrees, all BAD!
They didn't have top shelf liquor for a Lemon Drop martini. (which is pretty standard) Soup.... butternut squash, spitting out big pieces of stringy ginger chunks. Fillet was severely under done, No I mean RAW. It could of walked of my plate. The waitress apologized then took it back and then came out well done, and looked like the bottom of my shoe, mind you my husband was done eating by then. I picked it apart into small pieces, to make it look I ate some of it. Entrees came with vegetables which were brussel sprouts and squash I was told. 5 hard cubes of squash and shredded brussel sprouts are not vegetables, that is what we call in the culinary field, Garnish. Potato... I had french fries, thought I'd be safe with that. No way to salty/Seasoned. Great strategy to get you to order another cocktail, didn't work. Definitely not worth the $33.00 I paid. I was not offered any money off my dinner. The waitress came back and asked if I wanted my meal wrapped, and gave us a dessert menu, and said one would be on the house. Oh Boy! I would be hard pressed to go back, not enough menu options, and prices do not reflect /quality of food. It is a shame it's a beautiful place inside. We have been to many steak/ fine dining restaurants, by far this was one of the worse meals ever. Trying to be high end far from! Wait... let's blame it on Covid!
Cozy atmosphere with a warm fireplace. Food is excellent, server was fantastic.
The atmosphere is great, as was the Baked French Onion Soup. The Prime Rib was tough. The lobster tails were very good. We’ll come back again but try different entrees.
