Good overall. The live music and drinks were very nice. But timing was off. Had 7:30 pm reservations, however by the time seated and order taken, our appetizer was served at 8:30 pm. Then my food was lukewarm, although delicious.
Service, music, drinks and ambiance were great. Salmon was merely ok—portion too small. Apple tart a la mode was barely average—and not hot enough!
Nonetheless, will return!
Yeah atmosphere was nice with live jazz playing the food was mediocre at best and the service was horrendous even though the dining room was slow
My wife’s birthday
Worst front of house I've ever dealt with. Won't go back.
Excellent food! Great service and waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. Jazz combo was enjoyable. Lively and eclectic crowd. Great selection of cocktails, whiskey & wine!
Great food and music is always the best part. This place is one of the reasons jazz music is alive and well In Philly.
Great place for a drink and a chat. We go about once every week or two. It is our favorite after work spot.
Everything by was great except for the freezing cold wind. They opened the front door and the wind came straight into the restaurant. So cold.
The waiter left much to be desired I not sure if he was overwhelmed but not a good outing due to this. I also was seated at a table with a lot of foot traffic near bathroom.
Valentine’s Day - enjoyed the food and specialty menu. There was a great ambiance. Though as the night progressed there was some people hovering around my table waiting for me to leave to grab my table.
The restaurant feels more like a casual pub or tavern. Not the most luxurious or inviting ambiance. But, the food was spectacular. Limited menu — but. everything was really top notch.
I would recommend this place. The staff just need to be on the same page when it comes to certain specials and menus instead of making up something.
Notes to the chef: We both had the pear salad as an appetizer; as an appetizer it was wonderful but should have been half the size; we both pushed it away, trying to save room for dinner. Main course? My wife had the appetizer octopus, which was WONDERFUL! I had the (main course) short ribs, which were wonderful --when I could find them. The combination ingredients were nice, but the soupiness of the spinach (the bottom layer) made it difficult to enjoy the mashed potatoes above, let alone the very nicely-cooked spare ribs, which were supposedly the headline of the plate. Minimize the liquid from the spinach going into the base of the plate and you might have a winner.
Food was excellent and our waitress was just as good. Staff was friendly and would certainly recommend the restaurant.
My first time at Time! Atmosphere was friendly and casual. Perfect for getting together with a friend. Music was a bonus and the volume was still conducive to conversation.
Menus was a little limited but the food was very good. Service was perfect. Friendly and just the right amount of attention.
Music was great. Enjoyed every moment. I would recommend this to friends and family.
Time is one of our favorite places to go after work for a drink. It has a nice pub atmosphere, awesome burgers, great service and nice happy hour menu.
My fiancé and I went to Time as a start to our weekend getaway in Philly and it did not disappoint! We didn’t realize it was restaurant week when we booked our reservation, so it was a pleasant surprise for us to have a prix fix dinner. The live Jazz band on Sunday was what brought our attention to Time, but their service and food captured our hearts. The bartender and the chefs know what they are doing. We look forward to making more weekend getaways to Philly with Time as our priority!
The place was loud, food was over priced and the waiter was ok.
Always Good music, food, drinks and service. Short ribs were amazing.
The ambiance was good with live music. The food was tasty.
Loved the atmophere. Food was ok. Our server was excellent. She made our night.
We've been to Time before and really enjoyed the Chef's Five-Course Tasting Menu. We have dietary restrictions which the Chef was able to work around in the past. However, on this visit, we left the waiter know that we we cannot have shellfish. The waiter insisted that Oysters are part of one of the courses and cannot be substituted for something else. This was very disappointing to us and we likely will not return.
My wife had the beef short ribs and I had the lamb with fresh homemade pasta. Both dishes were delicious. Our cocktails were enjoyable as well.
The service was a bit slow as we were having dinner at 8:30p on a Saturday night.
It’s such a beautiful, intimate, and exciting environment. This visit was my first time going and having regular menu items, opposed to bar food and it was amazing. The setting is always good and lively with the perfect noise level of music mixed with intimate and dimmed lighting. Always a good time at Time.
Great service and excellent food!
The fried chicken was the weirdest chicken I have ever had. It was all bones and skin. It was swimming in a soup of watery sweet potato purée. The server was all snarky with us when I sent back my meal. The dining room was stuffed and uncomfortable. The music was nice but was a tad loud. I guess these are the reasons they had a Saturday pm reservation open when the rest of Philadelphia was booked.
Shrimp and grits was delicious. My friend enjoyed the short ribs and Mac and cheese and my other friend enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich with a ton of fries. Great jazz music and Good cocktails.
Time oozes ambiance and cool. Feels like a Prohibition-era speakeasy. Great live music and people watching. Food was uneven. Duck entree, cheese plate and pot-de-chocolat dessert were very good. Salad was lots of lettuce and light on the toppings. Really appreciated that they don't seem to rush you along to turn over tables.
Great service from beginning to end. Food and drinks are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend
great food! Loved the live music! all the courses were great.
We liked everything about Time. Food was awesome. Service was excellent. Ambiance and music perfect
Great choice and recommend it!
Great Music and Great Food and Drinks! This is a must try for anyone who enjoys the combination of live music and a well prepared food and drink menu.
We had some special orders due to dietary constraints & limited menu. Totally perplexed the kitchen. Took over an hour to get our meals. Mine was the only one without a special request and it came out 5+ minutes after my two dinner companions special orders and mine was tepid ramen w/1 uncooked translucent langoustino. Blackened salmon was very fishy. The restaurant did do the right thing and brought us a comp Kale salad because our dinners were taking so long. They took my meal off the bill and gave us the friends & family discount. Oy! The jazz trio was awesome and we did love the bread pudding which also seemed to take a long time to come out of the kitchen. Not sure I'd rush back here.
Went for happy hour and was really pleased with the drink specials and live music. Would definitely go back the next visit to Philadelphia!
A date with my beautiful wife. Great food. The “Bone Marrow “ is a must try, delicious
Always an amazing dinner at Time. Husband and I went there this time to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Time will always hold a special place in our hearts and our bellies. This is also the place where we had our first date and this will continue to be the place we go to for special occasions and celebrations.
Made a reservation for 7:30 on a Saturday night about a month prior to eating here. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and immediately shown to our table, unequivocally the best seat in the joint. In the back corner, we had a view of the live music, and we shared a bench sitting adjacent instead of across each other. The menu had just changed to fall. I ordered (and highly recommend) the Pear Salad and braised beef atop horseradish mashed potatoes. My dining partner had oysters and the scallops. We topped it off with the apple turnover à la mode. Service was stellar, food even better, atmosphere was romantic and very cool, and the music made the experience an unforgettable one.
I had a great time. I would definitely go again and I would recommend to anyone. The beef short ribs however were less than great in fact not very good at all. The Apple turnover was average at best but the bread pudding was excellent!!!!! Overall u had a great time and I will be back!!!
