Time Ratings and Reviews
Live jazz duo, but not too loud to prohibit conversation. Bar food menu in addition to main menu. I had the vegetarian shepherds' pie, my husband the bone marrow starter with chimichurri sauce, and short rib main. He liked his food very well. I'd order from the bar menu on next visit I think. I had a cocktail from the happy hour menu, quite lovely l. Service was attentive. I would go again
Time was very nice .The service was excellent. Our waiter was Michael and he didn't miss a beat with us. The only issue it was too dark. I had to hold my menu up to the candle to read it. We loved the live band. We especially like the fact that the patrons got to perform with them. I would definitely try it again and recommend Time to a friend. I would just bring a flashlight next time. Oh yeah the food was excellent also. Chef McKenzie did a great job
We were in the city celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided to sit at the bar rather than take a seat in the restaurant. Good decision! Great music, fantastic bartender (thanks Ashley!) and good company made this an amazing night. We've enjoyed Time on several occasions and it's always a great time...er, no pun intended.
GREAT find! Celebrated my husband's bday last nite. Wonderful selection of whiskey. He tried 2 flights..one rye and one bourbon. Nice way to sample different ones. Live 2 piece jazz music. Ordered grilled octopus (great but small portion.) My husband had delicious burger with AMAZING fries. So good we ordered another round of them. Bar menu is reasonably priced. Tyler, our waiter was great. Knowledgable about all the whiskies. Delicious homemade ice cream for dessert. If you like coconut, this was terrific. Overall, a fun place. Reasonably priced, grey food, and huge selection of whiskies. will return!
The food was ample and tasty! The bone marrow offering was enormous. We were in the seating directly next to the band which impacts my review of Time. It was simply too loud for any conversation at that table once the band began. If it was stated in Opentable that a band and open mic occurs every night, I overlooked it. I wouldn't make it a point to return because of this. However, many patrons at the bar were likely present specifically to enjoy the music and the food was worth the visit.
Not only was the food exquisite and the staff warm and friendly but chef Hilton herself came out and chatted with us and informed us that every night the chef menu changes. If this was an off-the-cuff night then sign me up again! If you want a fantastic experience Time is where you should go!
The chef's tasting menu is a foodie extravaganza! Our seven courses included spring pea soup, a salmon ceviche tower topped with an edible flower, arugula and fig salad, mussels and clams in garlic sauce, duck breast, steak and asparagus, a cheese course, and brioche French toast topped with banana pecan saute. Everything was beautifully presented and service was excellent! Time is also a whiskey bar, so dine early if you want to miss the loud music.
We had date night at Time on Friday. We chose the 7 course pre-fix meal and the food was fantastic. It seems a little steep at $65, but afterwards we felt it was completely worth it. Although they were all good, the cheese and steak courses were the favorite. Our server was very knowledgeable about the drink menu too and helped us select fantastic drinks all evening. Time, however, is a very busy place on Friday evenings. They have live music and it was very difficult to hear. It is a small space, I would not recommend for large parties. We will probably be back at a less crowded time.
Had been wanting to try Time based on a recommendation from a friend last year. Booked in advance which was good as it is a small space. There is live music so check the schedule before you come in. We were there during a live jazz jam. Sat right next to the stage area so it was loud but I was prepared for that. The menu is not huge in variety but everything we had was amazing quality. Do yourself a favor and get the bratwurst and the deviled eggs. They are beyond delicious. The cocktails left something to be desired so stick to wine or beer.
We wanted to hear some jazz and we were looking for a place that had jazz early in the evening. Time met our criteria. Our waiter was excellent and so was the music (a 3 piece jazz group). Also excellent was the $5 champagne cocktail. There were an amazing array of whiskeys on the menu but my spouse chose a good beer instead, from an excellent recommendation from our waiter. The meal was blah, unfortunately. My spouse had the fried chicken. Being a southern boy, he knows his fried chicken and he would give this fried chicken a 1-2 star review. I had the duck breast and it was ok (3 rating category). So, we would come here again, but not to order dinner. We would sit at the bar and listen to music and I would have happy hour champagne cocktails and my spouse would try some of the tremendous selection of whiskeys. Unfortunately, my rating of 3 for our meal experience.
