Chefs tasting menu was great!!!
Everything was ok: the place, the dinner, musicians that played last sunday and also the staff.
I had looked at the menu online and saw a few vegetarian options, but when we got there, they had none!!
Loved it! 7:30 pm seemed to be the perfect time to arrive for the Jazz performance.
service was excellent, food average (mussels sauce ws so spicy unedible..no mention of that on menu). jazz duo excellent but the volume was so loud impossible to have a conversation.
It was delicious food for a great price! We went for happy hour and the happy hour menu with the happy hour food was amazing ! I will definitely go again!
I absolutely loved my experience at Time! Live music on Friday night was a nice touch for a date night. The house red was delicious as was the filet mignon. Would recommend!
We were in Philly on a business trip and happened to select this restaurant off Open Table. We had the tasting menu - DELISH!!! The food was awesome!!! Our reservation was for 6:30 and we completed our 5 course meal around 9:30. We didn’t get much guidance on wine pairings for each course, but we did get a good
recommendation half way through the 3rd course.
What we didn’t know was that Time is also a nightclub. On the night we went they had a house band and it was open mic night. The music was way too loud for the dinner hour. We had to yell to speak to each other. By the time we finished dinner the house band was in full effect. LOUD!!!! The band was good, but too loud for dinner.
I would recommend Time. The tasting menu was amazing. If you don’t like loud music, check to see if the band is playing and if it’s open mic night first.
Food was great. We enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. We tried the chef’s tasting menu. It’s 5 courses of the chef’s choice, and we had no idea what we were going to get. It was a bit of a mystery but everything was outrageously delicious and a pleasant surprise. We will be going back.
Love to come here and listen to music , not too many places in Philadelphia have live music anymore, keep it going Time!!!!!!!
EVERYTHING was delicious. Literally everything. We had a great date night and will definitely return.
i had the most amazing time at Time! I traveled from NYC and it was well worth it. Food was fabulous, the "JAM SESSION" was outstanding. i plan to visit more often!!
Loved the environment, especially during the Jazz sets. Got a whiskey flight, which was wonderful, as Time has a vast Whiskey selection. I will double-check next time to make sure I arrive at the start of a set and not at the tail-end of one!
We’ve been several times for music and drinks but tonight we went for dinner as well and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and the ambiance was perfect for a music lovers date night!
Wonderful service. Also there was a 3 piece band playing. Food was very good. Started with mussels, scallops and octopus appetizers. They were delicious. Octopus was very tender.
I booked a reservation for Father’s Day 5 PM. The website says live music is from 5 to 8 PM. We are arrived for our reservation only to find out that the live music didn’t start until 8 PM. We left and went to a different restaurant
Great spot to see a band... small venue with great service and incredible food! We will definitely be back again.
My and my wife's initial impressions were mostly positive. We were a bit disappointed that the Entree menu was a bit limited. We were favorably impressed with the Presentation and the taste. We both had the fish. It and the sauces (minus the garlic per our request) were tasty.
The unfortunate problem was both of us experienced a bad upset stomach reaction that night. Had only one of us had that reaction, I wouldn't have been so quick to suspect our dinners. I'm a bit unsure if we'll try the restaurant again, but I can't recommend it to others unless we do try and have a much better experience. (I should have called the restaurant the next day.)
The food and service was excellent but due to the water main break (nearly a year ago), it was a little difficult to find. Once that street opens, it will be worth the trip!
The food was terrible! I should’ve ordered from the bar; however, my Mai Tai drink was the best I’ve ever had! I will go back for drinks but not for food. The waiter was rude and didn’t know the menu. Also, the jazz Saturday night was poor. I’ll be back for drinks for sure but won’t waste money on food!
Always love the great music and attentive service.
Great staff, great music, great food. Only wish we were there early enough for the chef special
Absolutely wonderful! The place to be in Midtown!
Duck was underdone. Sent back and came back still underdone. Limited menu.
Food and cocktails were great, service was awesome!
Our waitress was great, the food was great and so was the band.
We went primarily for the jazz and the drinks, but were so happily surprised with the food! The brisket was delicious as was the grilled octopus. And even with jazz we were able to have a solid conversation with new friends. A great night at Time all around.
The room was great aesthetically. Nice ambiance, chic, cool. The food was mediocre at best. And the cheese tray was literally 3 small chunks of cheese and a cut in half strawberry. Kind of expected a charcuterie spread. The prices are high for the food you get. Ended up at 175 for 2 of us with meals and a bottle of inexpensive wine.
Aubrey and Darnell were awesome! Love Time!!
Good food, good drinks
I love coming to Times, especially when Soul Samurai is performing. The service is always on point and the food is flavorful.
Great food and music. Only 2 standard tables. The rest are high tops.
Wonderful server. Food excellent. Nice jazz trio playing
Delicious food, great music, amazing cocktails.
Food was good, but a small menu. Server did a great job and we really enjoyed the live music!
A good friend ended up moving back into town and was looking to spend her birthday at a live music food joint. After searching up a couple of spots, South included. I ended up choosing this place. Went in on a Sunday night and we all were impressed with the ambiance and the jazz band that played that night. Food and cocktails were also noteworthy. Definitely recommend for a date night or a place to enjoy good jazz with food and drinks.
Enjoyed my visit. The live music and ambiance was great however it was very dark which made reading the menu and eating a challenge. I ordered the duck plate for dinner which came out at a medium temperature. I took off a star because the server or menu didn't mention that or ask my preference. The service was slow but it was also very crowded and busy since it was on a Saturday night. I would just plan on having drinks after a certain hour next time.
We came to hear a band and left with a new favorite restaurant. The drink program is incredible. I couldn't ask for a better list of boozy bourbon cocktail options. The food could have a bit more seasoning but other than that, it was a fantastic culinary experience from start to finish.
My wife and I spent a weekend in Philly and we typically hang out around 13th St and Locust/Sansome. We decided to give Time a chance based on the reviews, but looking at the pictures of the place, we were not expecting much.
Boy were we wrong! We decided to give the 5 course tasting menu a try. OMG, best dinner we've ever had in Philly and we've been visiting for years. They started us off with a flaky puff pastry filled with a creamy mushroom sauce. It was delicious! Next was a potato leek soup topped with flame grilled sea bass. Yum! We then were served a house-made pasta dish. And finally, tender slivers of waygu filet mignon on a bed of crispy fried rice. Amazing! Dessert was a delicious chocolate tart with homemade whipped cream.
There was a live jazz guitarist playing to a crooning singer with a bongo, and they were really terrific.
Overall, highly recommended!
Food was delicious and got to enjoy some live music!
