The room was great aesthetically. Nice ambiance, chic, cool. The food was mediocre at best. And the cheese tray was literally 3 small chunks of cheese and a cut in half strawberry. Kind of expected a charcuterie spread. The prices are high for the food you get. Ended up at 175 for 2 of us with meals and a bottle of inexpensive wine.
Aubrey and Darnell were awesome! Love Time!!
Good food, good drinks
I love coming to Times, especially when Soul Samurai is performing. The service is always on point and the food is flavorful.
Great food and music. Only 2 standard tables. The rest are high tops.
Wonderful server. Food excellent. Nice jazz trio playing
Delicious food, great music, amazing cocktails.
Food was good, but a small menu. Server did a great job and we really enjoyed the live music!
A good friend ended up moving back into town and was looking to spend her birthday at a live music food joint. After searching up a couple of spots, South included. I ended up choosing this place. Went in on a Sunday night and we all were impressed with the ambiance and the jazz band that played that night. Food and cocktails were also noteworthy. Definitely recommend for a date night or a place to enjoy good jazz with food and drinks.
Enjoyed my visit. The live music and ambiance was great however it was very dark which made reading the menu and eating a challenge. I ordered the duck plate for dinner which came out at a medium temperature. I took off a star because the server or menu didn't mention that or ask my preference. The service was slow but it was also very crowded and busy since it was on a Saturday night. I would just plan on having drinks after a certain hour next time.
We came to hear a band and left with a new favorite restaurant. The drink program is incredible. I couldn't ask for a better list of boozy bourbon cocktail options. The food could have a bit more seasoning but other than that, it was a fantastic culinary experience from start to finish.
My wife and I spent a weekend in Philly and we typically hang out around 13th St and Locust/Sansome. We decided to give Time a chance based on the reviews, but looking at the pictures of the place, we were not expecting much.
Boy were we wrong! We decided to give the 5 course tasting menu a try. OMG, best dinner we've ever had in Philly and we've been visiting for years. They started us off with a flaky puff pastry filled with a creamy mushroom sauce. It was delicious! Next was a potato leek soup topped with flame grilled sea bass. Yum! We then were served a house-made pasta dish. And finally, tender slivers of waygu filet mignon on a bed of crispy fried rice. Amazing! Dessert was a delicious chocolate tart with homemade whipped cream.
There was a live jazz guitarist playing to a crooning singer with a bongo, and they were really terrific.
Overall, highly recommended!
Food was delicious and got to enjoy some live music!
Dinner at Time was outstanding. Service was great. Food excellent. And the jazz trio rocked. Very comfortable dining area. Perfect for our birthday celebration!
We were seated at 6:45 but did not receive service until about 7 pm. Our server was also the bartender, which made for choppy service. While the food here is FANTASTIC, it was WAY overpriced for the portions given. My boyfriend wanted the sweet potato gnocchi entree, which they were out of and offered the Parmesan gnocchi for an upcharge of $7. I feel like that entree was actually an appetizer- 8-10 gnocchis dispersed around a rather large plate.. not very filling. We had also ordered an appetizer and two entrees, and they all came out of order. Between each dish we waited about 20 minutes. So we had an “entree” then our appetizer, then we had to split my entree because my boyfriend was not full from his entree that was an appetizer. Overall, the food was delicious, but I don’t know that I would eat here again due to the service. We did not leave the restaurant until 9 pm. I understand restaurants get busy, but perhaps more servers would have made things better for everyone.
The salmon was amazing. Beautiful ambiance. Great for dates.
I really enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner date here. The food was of decent portions and excellent quality. I also really enjoyed the crate e cocktails and music. I ordered the tea time in Jalisco and was not disappointed. I also had the salmon and really enjoyed it. Would definitely come here again!
Great food and drink. Live music was wonderful. Not a fan of high tops.
Trendy, lively atmosphere. Absolutely fantastic way to spend a night out with friends. Great music and even better food.
Great find for a random pick. Live music, friendly staff and great food. Fried chicken, gnocchi and mussels were all well done!
Very loud and a very limited menu. Everything we had to eat was perfectly cooked and delicious. Great Martini's and other house cocktails. You can hang here for hours if you can deal with the music and noise. Music was great and very appropriate for dinner music.
Yum! Was so pleased as always with the food music and drinks! Great happy hour specials!
Our server wasn't the greatest but everything else was phenomenal!
Restaurant Week menu was awesome!
This place was very well worth the visit just make sure you have your ID to get in because they check at the door even to sit and eat I had the deviled eggs and short ribs which was delicious
I really enjoyed Time! I went with a group of friends for Restaurant Week, so we got to taste several different things. The menu included 5 courses, but all the courses were portioned right so it didn't feel super heavy or overly indulgent at the end of the night. The broccoli and cheddar risotto was great, as was the 48-hour braised short rib.
There was a jazz duo (bass and sax) playing live music which contributed to the great atmosphere, and the service was top notch. Overall, I would recommend this place.
Always great jazz and martinis. Food is very good with a nice variety. Staff is pleasant. Go early if you want a seat at the bar as it does get crowded, or make a reservation for dinner. We do not live in Philadelphia but a few of the bartenders remember us and greet us warmly when we are there ... it's nice to be remembered and acknowledged.
It was my second tone back anabolic it was just as fun and pleasant as my first experience. I came for my birthday celebration and this place is amazing all around. Drinks, food, and ambiance it’s defibetly a vibe and a well hidden gem!
Visiting from Los Angeles , we always stop by for reliable talented jazz musicians and wonderful ambience, not to mention a creative menus.
Catch the live music when you can. Awesome music, good people. Loved Time.
Great I’ll def be back
The food at Time is incredible. I loved the atmosphere. The live music was a plus. The service was good. We will definitely visit again
We had a lovely New Year's Eve dinner at Time. I was running late due to holiday traffic/street closures, and I really appreciated their ability to accommodate us arriving nearly 30 minutes late! The food & service were outstanding, and my two cocktails were fairly priced and delicious. I would definitely return.
Food was okay. We had reservations in the dining room. Music was good. The restaurant was freezing cold.
Picked this place on reviews and proximity to my hotel in city center and I was very pleased. Ambiance was great with good music that wasn’t too loud. Food was amazing - we had bone marrow, short rib and the duck. A little pricey but still highly recommended.
Small but well thought out menu. Our server, Soni, was amazing!
Great food, terrific jazz combo. Made a perfect night .
I enjoy coming out to Time. Ilike the open mic.night. Also enjoy the food. I love love the mussles are the best.
I had indicated on my reservation that this was our anniversary (one year after our first date...also at Time). Our waitress was very friendly, wished us the best, and even gave us our first two drinks on the house. I'm not much of a foody, but it was quality food with a variety of options. We'll definitely be back, and not just because the restaurant is significant to our relationship.
Not what I was looking for but the food and service are amazing. I wish there was no standing a little hard to enjoy dinner and my dinner conversation when you can't hear people at the time and also when other people continue to interrupt. I will be back for the chef tasting.
