Steaks were good, all other items - appetizers, salads, sides were ok. Brussel sprouts not cook. They continue to employ a waiter who has a terrible attitude and creates a bad dinner for us one night. We don’t like seeing him there when we go so we won’t be back anytime soon.
Love the Timberline Grill. The steak I had the first night was probably the best I have had at a restaurant. Had the Cod the second night which was very tasty. Service was impeccable. And, Matt Lucas was so accommodating, a very professional man. Wish I lived closer as I would dine at Timberline Grill more often 😍 Thank-you Timberline Grill for making our special occasion perfect 👌
Very disappointing for an upscale steakhouse in an upscale casino. I ordered a filet mignon steak with sautéed mushrooms and potato au gratin. The steak was way overcooked with some gristle in it, the mushrooms were bland tasting, and the potatoes were undercooked and tough. The service was excellent, though. If you are looking for a great steakhouse in Black Hawk, I highly recommend Farradays in The Isle.
We dined at Timberline Grill for our anniversary. We were pleasantly suprised by the quality and presentation of the food. I had the salmon, while my husband had a steak, and we split two vegetable sides. We also enjoyed two lovely martinis and a glass of wine with dinner. As portions are very large, I would suggest taking a big appetite!
Third time here and we've always enjoyed it. We had mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary so special dessert was presented to us for the occasion. It was only a bite each but Happy Anniversary was written on the plate with chocolate syrup so that was pretty cool. Salads and entrees delicious, well prepared. Only minor complaint is that our server was not real warm. All business type and became a bit inattentive towards the end. That said, it was still an overall great dining experience.
The food was really good, but we were a little early for our reservation and were told that we could not be seated until our reservation time, and then when we entered the restaurant found many empty tables, so a little disappointed. Also, was not really impressed with the Manhattan drink I ordered, not really sure what i got but it was not a manhattan. Food was good
My husband had the lamb. It was raw had to send it back. The cook cut it in half and then put it on the grill. They sent it back out to us. I had a combo of pork chops and lamb. Couldn't eat the pork chop because it had to much pepper on it. Also my meal had Brussel sprouts that came with it. Don't know how the cook manged it but they were raw in the center and burnt on the outside. And the the mixed drinks were made so strong that we couldn't even drink them. Sent the drinks back and got tea. The waitress acted like we were bothering her and keeping her from doing her side work at the end if her shift. Would never go back and i will people i know to stay away frim there. It was a horrible birthday dinner for me. The only saving grace about the meal is they toke my meal and the mixed drinks off the bill. By the way not once did the manger come to our table. Even in the cheep restaurants when something is sent back the manager comes to the table to at least to apologize to you.
All in all the food was very good. Proportion size to plate was a little off. Our waitress forgot to offer or bring out sauces that went with our Dinner entree choices and we forgot to ask. The crafted cocktails were delicious. Everything was cooked perfect. Service was fine. Great place to eat for a birthday celebration.
Medium well steak was cooked rare. After 3x back to kitchen steak came out and tasted horrible. Manager did not put it on the bill, but honestly would have just appreciated them to start over and give me a good steak! The Au Gratin potatoes taste more like frozen cheesy hash browns. We have gone here for many years but quality the last year has been poor.
Excellent steak and the service was also great. My husband and his 2 sons went for there birthdays. I was a little disappointed because I called and gave them his name and time they were eating and Stephanie our casino host also called to even give them a little cake but that did not happen. But my husband said he couldn’t have eaten it anyway. But they had a excellent meal. Thankyou for making their birthday special with such a great meal
Dinner at Timberline Grill is always a treat. A nice getaway from the city and a day of gambling. I had the ribs, they Didn't come out as hot as I would like. The creamy polenta was a nice surprise. My husband had the Berkshire double cut pork chop, very delicious. Sides were the arugula salad that was big enough to share. Nice presentation. The chick peas were a nice add. And creamed spinach. We had s Grenache blend wine, Estancia. It was nice. The wine list could be broader in selection. We will be back.
Everyone we encountered was very kind and accommodating! I wish I was better with names so I could let them know how truly appreciative I was. From the two gentlemen who helped at the door, ensuring we were satisfied with the table, and the bubbles waiting for us, and our fun, friendly server, who didn't miss a beat during our wonderful dinner.
