The food is excellent, and Mariola always takes great care of us.
Food was very good. We will definitely go again. Lamb was exceptional
The meal and service at Timberline were wonderful. Nice mix of people and special for a getaway. The prime rib was delicious and I’ve heard the salmon is also very good. Worth h the prices.
This used to be ‘my favorite steakhouse on the planet’ but it has really gone downhill. My friends and I haven’t liked the menu for five years, but keep trying. This time, we’ve decided we’re tired of trying. They were skimpy on the bread and the salad. The potatoes au gratin were disappointing. The steak was the worst we’ve ever tasted. The waitress said they are unable to get to medium-well without the steak being chargrilled. I expected SO much more-especially for the price! Bring back the delicious food that is worth it to eat here!
Very tasty lamb chops and pork chops. The sav blanc wine was quite good, but expensive at $13 a glass. The restaurant was the most beautiful one I have even dined in - love the comtemporary mission style!
We enjoyed the Cornish Hen and Prime Rib. The Cornish Hen is my go to every time and is always delicious. As a starter we had a salad and the onion soup. Onion soup was very bland. Would not recommend. Dessert was Creme’ Brûlée which was average.
It was very good. The steak was fabulous. Like to see to expand your menu a bit.
Always have enjoyed eating here. This place was always considered a special treat. It still is special but has gone up a bit in pricing. If you are a regular gambler and member, you can use your credits towards payment however if not. .. over $200 for just two is a bit much. Food is very good though and service is great.
The food was awesome and the service was great. We had a party of 5 and our whole evening was a pleasant experience.
Timberline grill is the place to go at the Ameristar hotel in Black Hawk. The food and service were good!
Great food and service was great, Our server was fun to interact with and at the same time very professional.
My husband and I always eat at Timberline when at the Ameristar in Black Hawk - good food, moderately expensive but worth the price.
Our server Chad is a superstar- FANTASTIC service!
The food was great! We had a great time at the Timberline Grill and Ameristar Casino.
Great food, great ambience, cozy. Nice escape from the din of the casino.
Swavick, our server was exceptional! We were here on Valentine’s Day and despite being super busy, our food and service was excellent. Highly recommend.
The water was excellent. The server was terrible. We asked for bread with our entree and he asked if we wanted a refill, we had no bread. He tried to take my husbands unfinished salad when our entrees arrived.
Excellent food and service. Fantastic Caesar salad!
Our server, Mariola, was OUTSTANDING!
Friendly, attentive, great knowledge of menu..very efficient 🖒
Wait staff wasn’t experienced. Medium steak was raw. Wedge salad wasn’t as expected. Overall the food was overpriced for the quality served.
Very disappointed the Cranberry walnut bread is not being served. Guess I will need to shop for other casinos who have the good sense to keep a great product on the menu
We’ve eaten here twice & had great experiences both times. We sat at the bar this time and our server was very attentive and helpful. The crab cakes were excellent, and my boyfriend’s steak was cooked just right. We didn’t love the potato gratin style side dish (not a lot of flavor), but everything else was very tasty.
Food was yummy. Waitress was very nice.
The food was fantastic and so was the service. It is a very nice restaurant and it didn't have a snooty atmosphere. Very nice dinner. Would eat there again.
Have not been to restaurant for a couple of years - Was not dissapointed. Veal dinner special was great and Chad provided superb service. We were lucky enough to have the executive chef prepare our meal. Will return!
We had a excellent experience. I would highly recommend this place. The staff was on point.
We had dinner here for my birthday weekend in Blackhawk last Sat night. We frequent fine restaurants. And, this one is probably up there with one of the best meals we have ever had. Pricey, yes. But, so worth it. I had filet mignon. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband had crab legs. They were enormous. And, sooo good! The potato gratin is out of this world. But, the best part was the 24k bar dessert. It was unbelievable. Add to this the most amazing server (sorry, can't spell his name. Started with an "S"), older gentleman. He recommended a superb bottle of cab. And, catered to our every need. It was noisy. Only bc, it was Sat night. And, they were super busy. But, we felt very well taken care of. Worth every penny! Will def be back. You need a resy for this place. They were totally booked.
We asked to be seated in one of many booths available, we were told they were reserved. But obviously not for our time frame, since they were never used while we were there. So we got a small table approximately in the middle of the restaurant entry:(
Service was marginal at best. The food was decent, overpriced as with everything in Black Hawk...
I had dined here before and had a much better experience.
Excellent service.. Chad was awesome! Great atmosphere and decor... Rib eye was phenomenal
Always a great place to eat a great steak
Unfortunately, the quality of the food is going down the last 2 meals were poor. The lobster meat was pasty. The steak was too salty. Way too pricey. Dessert was sparse. How many ways can you cut costs??
My wife and were celebrating my 70th birthday. Our waitress was very informative and pleasant. I am sorry I can't recall her name. I ordered a fillet mignon rare and it was perfection. The rest of my feast was very good. Unfortunately my wife had grill shrimp that she enjoyed but the next morning she experienced gastrointestinal issues.
I will recommend Tiberline Grill to all that will listen.
Food was exceptional. Crab Cakes appetizer one of the best ever. Had the Sirloin Steak and Shrimp entree which was super tender and the shrimp were huge.
Cozy place for a special occasion but some entrees expensive.
We ordered filet mignon and lobster. The steak was raw on the inside supposed to be med well. The lobster was tough and cold and you couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. It had no flavor. We also ordered soup which was supposed to be chicken tortilla and when it came out it was a pile of shrimp in the middle of a large bowl that they poured a tomato bisque over and called it chicken tortilla. We we're so highly disappointed and will let everyone we know how bad it was. We paid $209 for the worst meal in our lives.
I have you in here many times. I found the food be fantastic. Sitting at the bar has been very pleasant. I have a njoyed dining at the tables and booths is always good but I’ve been there many times now and sometimes the heat in there is very unpleasant.
Went for Christmas dinner. The pork chops great and loved the smashed root vegtables.
Very relaxing and comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was perfectly prepared and we were not pressed to rush through to turn the table.
We ordered filets & when they came they were not very thick, as we usually like them. But they were incredibly flavorful and awesome!!!! I guess thickness doesn't matter after all.
And our salads were excellent. Also, the wine was excellent.
Overall great experience.
Pricey, but food was very good. The ambiance is nice, the wait staff was friendly and service was good. We were looking for a nicer dining experience then the typical cafeteria, buffet style that most casino's cater to.
